More an more I find myself calling or running around to stores that just don't carry what I need, or even if they do the price is ridiculous. Oh Amazon, how you lure us in. Pop-up trailer 2 days before a planned trip with no power suddenly. Tracked it down to this, popped it in just as we were getting ready to hit the road, and off we go. Weird for an auto reset breaker to go bad. Thanks Amazon.

Perfect Safety Solution

I installed this on my 2014 Ford F-150 pickup. I was installing a Curt 57676 4-pole to 7-pole adapter, and since my truck did not have the necessary wiring, I had to run my own 12v hot wire from the battery through the frame to the back. I absolutely needed a fuse or circuit breaker off this rating, and I selected this one since it has auto-reset. I mounted it to the sheet metal beside the battery (see pics). A perfect safety solution. The first pic shows the location to the right of the battery. The second one shows it with the safety cover open to show terminals.

It works

This should keep you safe for shorts. Don't expect the rubber piece to be waterproof or water resistant, it will provide basic protection.
