Sorry for the bad swatches, but I really wanted to show what each color looked like. This set was worth every penny because you get colors that would take forever to achieve if you were to do mixing and I also like the color stories that were already set up for you in the box. My swatches are each color story that was premade. The gouache is very creamy, pigmented, and drys to a nice matte finish. They can be layered easily on top of one another and with the color range you can make alot of unique art pieces. Its important to note that even when watered down they still are pigmented. I highly recommend this set for beginners and those who aren't a fan of mixing paint and just want colors laid out.

Excellent value for the price.

So I loved swatching these paints right out of the tube. They are absolutely stunning. The paints dry to a matte finish which I like but they feel chalky without being chalky. I hope that makes sense. I poured them into full size pans, let them dry for 4 days and then re-wet them as I prefer working from a palette. I must say that they had to be wet quite a bit to reach the same consistency and vibrancy as if out of the tube but that’s fine. I bought them to color with my girls and they are enjoying them.

GREAT QUALITY GREAT PRICE

The color selection is UNREAL, 60 full tubes, really great pastels and earth tones. The shimmer colors add a nice glimmer to the page and pleasantly surprised me with their consistency. This gouache is much better behaved than Reeves and has stayed pretty moist in my travel palette. It's also super easy to re-wet. I would definitely recommend this set to any who wants to make a custom gouache palette or just wants to experiment with gouache without having to constantly mix colors.

LOVE IT!

I use gouache a lot in all my works because i'm a graphic designer. I've used all types of brands from artist loft to holbein gouache and of course, nothing can compare to the winsor and newton and holbein gouache but I will say this. This gouache is so much more better than Artist loft and reeves gouache. Its so smooth and the amount of colors you get is amazing for the price. Honestly this is definitely up there with Winsor and Newton and Holbein. My favorite color is definitely bronze. One issue I do have tho is that the color on the actual tube does not match the paint on the inside so i will recommend a swatch sheet! I will buy this again and again!

Smooth paints, lots of variety, good for beginners! Buy them.

Bought these for my daughter and she loved them. She found them much better than a previous $10 set she got, they're bright, less chalky, blendable. The wide range of colors is great for someone starting out that might not know color theory or be very good at mixing colors on your own. Although, these do mix well too if you want to adjust colors. Definitely worth the bit of extra price, but still a very affordable great student grade paints.

Exceeded my expectations

I paint professionally and have worked with most high end and budget brands. When I ordered the Arteza Gouache I did not expect much, but could not resist the good price. I am amazed by the strength of the colors which are highly pigmented. They are very opaque right out of the tube, but diluted with water they become translucent. The metallics are just luscious. I work mostly on wood and really wish I had tried these earlier. Oh, the possibilities....

Would buy again

Im a beginner painter so i have no idea if these paints are top quality or not. All i can say is i think they are well pigmented, the mix nicely and has a smooth texture. we are very pleased with these paints!
