Looking for something faster than Raspberry Pi, but still silent and low-power? Tired of recompiling things for ARM instead of x86? I erased Windows from the eMMC internal storage and installed Ubuntu Linux instead. This machine runs great.. Linux Kenerel 4.18, Ubuntu 18.10 Cosmic Server edition. CPU shows as: "Intel(R) Atom(TM) x5-Z8350 CPU @ 1.44GHz" The ethernet chip is a Realtek r8169 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet, and has fine support. The eMMC storage device is a R1J57L with 29.1 GB of space, probably a Micron MTFC16GAKAECN or similar. The only downside is the paucity of USB ports.. there's only one USB 3.0 port, which you would probably tie up with a storage device. Overall, really nice deal. The 4GB RAM might be a little tight for Windows 10, but perfectly fine for Ubuntu.

We use it as a Photo Booth PC its compact size with multiple USB ports is what makes it so handy. Its processing speeds work great for our needs.

Works flawlessly must say really am excited, price and performance top where you get a PC for the price. Windows 10 Pro pre-installed, there are no unnecessary applications besides Windows itself. 8GB of RAM and a decent processor ensure adequate speed and good storage space. You could install the SSD and HDD to enlarge the storage space, the Micro SD card is also a great way to expand memory. I connected two monitors via dual HDMI ports of this tiny pc and I watched the video every day with this setting. It's pretty good, very happy with this ourchase!

NOTE: The HDMI only version (4GB+32GB) DOES NOT boot headless (without a monitor). It's probably better to spend the extra few dollars on the 4GB+64GB version with VGA instead of buying an EDID HDMI dummy plug. Otherwise, this mini PC works pretty well with Debian as tiny server. I never booted the pre-installed Windows 10 on it, I just applied the latest firmware via UEFI (press F7 to get the boot menu, and get the latest BIOS from the minisforum Z8350 section) and booted up my Debian install thumbstick. The wired ethernet was functional out of the box, but still wanted an additional (firmware-realtek) package installed. I also installed the sound firmware package (firmware-intel-sound) as there was a log line in dmesg about firmware being missing, but I haven't actually tested sound myself due to my machine's role as a tiny remote ZFS NAS mirror.

For $110 this is the perfect PC. I purchased 8 of them and had no issues. They only have 32GB of storage but I was able to install the latest Windows 10 Pro using the Microsoft installation boot tool and it activated automatically. After applying all the updates there was still 14.2 GB available. They can boot without a monitor attached (headless boot) even with the HDMI only model. Even though it's an Atom processor it was not at all sluggish running one or two applications at a time (even full speed bluray backup rips).

Lots of bells and whistles, Windows 10 Pro, 4 usb ports, HDMI port, bluetooth, wifi, ethernet, expandable memory. Very fast and works great for video streaming to a computer. Likely wouldn't work as well as a desktop computer running lots of apps, without expanding storage. Ordered a 2nd one, didn't work, had to return. 3rd one worked as advertised.

I have been using this Mini PC now for over a week and it is working as promised. Does everything that a normal PC does, I mainly stream movies on this device and it works great.

Extremely satisfied! Just purchased my third one. These are used for Linux servers and for the price & quality I couldn’t be happier. Major upgrade coming from a raspberry pi. Linux installation was a breeze.

The technology behind this is so good that you really have to wonder if, its the next step into getting robots to work. Well I mean we are only using retro micro chips and other things , sized down because of capability, but still nifty its so small and works so well. I would have gone for a HDMI plug in computer, but having to have backup hard drives and other resources makes them inconvenient.

I use the mini pc for running MS office applications and web based applications. I purposely don’t surf the web and make unnecessary downloads. So far I am really happy with the pc and hope it lasts for several years of my minimal processing power needs. Plenty of Ram to get by. Plenty of HDD space for basic applications and OS. 3 USB ports work for Keyboard/Mouse, card reader, and an extra for my thumb drive to move files back and forth. Good to go. Really happy.
