Plenty of color choices and length

Pretty much comes with every color you’d need and lots of it. I’ve recently got into the whole 3D pen printing hobby and got these refills to accompany my new pen. I haven’t tried out all the colors yet as I’m still learning and want to avoid wasting it quickly. But of the colors I’ve used, they work just as well as the filament that came with the original pen. Went with this bundle as it was a good price for the quantity of refills offered and length. It would definitely take a lot of use to fully use it all up. I’m slowly building up my skill to incorporate more colors and technique.

Good Variety, Vibrant Colors

The colors on these filament samples are fantastic. 800 ft for the sale price of approx $8 was well worth the price. Please keep in mind that the tolerances for a 3D pen allow for more variance in the 1.75mm size of the filament. I do plan to try these out in my printer, as the filament all looks very consistent. There are no obvious bumps, bubbles, or warping in my sample set. The glow in the dark colors seem especially nice, and have a nice glow to them prior to printing. I do like that they included some basic colors, and while the sample sizes seem to vary, I got every color listed in the description.

Great for Small Prints!

I needed different colors of PLA to find out what color of PLA I wanted. This filament is really nice for 3D pens. I used this for small prints on my 3D printer. I used it for some small prints just to find out which color looked best so I could buy a full spool of it. I don't have $20 to waste on a spool that I probably wouldn't like. It's also a good price because most places sell each little spool for around $2. I really liked one of the blue spools. It's also good for making art with a 3D pen because of all the colors you get.

Awesome colors! Work great in my regular 3D printer!

These mini 20ft refills are working great for single prints on my 3D printer. Each color is individually wrapped. I know these lengths are primarily for the 3D pens but they work just fine in my regular printer. I have been using my standard PLA settings and i have not run into any issues. I would love to gtab more of these and they really come in handy if I need a certain color for just 1 print!

I may have just found a new preferred brand of filament for my Anet A8 clone printer.

I bought this filament as a test to see how well it would work for my desktop DIY 3D printer. I have to say, I'm highly impressed. So much so that I may make this my preferred brand for PLA filament (other types as well if Tipeye starts making their own ABS, PETG, and Nylon). If worked flawlessly flowing throught the MK8 extruder with a 0.4mm nozzle heated to 195ÂșC. Adhesion was great, even amazing at times (see photo of red coin being printed without supports and standing on it's thin end). For build plate prep I went with the basic beginners setup of Blue 3M painters tape and Elmers brand glue stick, and it held like a champion. During my testing I did take out the digital calipers and periodically check the diameter of the filament and found very little variation (which I would hope to be the case with such short pieces), to my joy, the variation only fluctuated +/- 0.02mm. The filament did not show signs of contaminate inclusions as there were no voids or built up bubbles, no popping sound form the melted filament, etc. It flowed nice and smooth from beginning to end. The vibrancy of the colors were great as well, loved the greens, red, orange and especially the Purple. However, I would of liked to see the brown more of a deeper richer brown, but it is still a brown and not an auburn color as you would find with some other brands. The colors represented their respected variants accurately. The purple (my favorite of the group) was a true, rich purple well deserving to be called purple. The red and orange were bright and looked amazing as did the yellow. None of the colors appeared to have a washed out look. Though the light green did appear to be more of a mint color, it's still a great color that I hope Tipeye continues to accurately reproduce in larger bulk sized 1kg or larger rolls.

Wonderful 3D pen

Wonderful 3D pen! There are a lot of settings to help a new user. It's also really thin, and doesn't get too hot, so comfortable for the user. My only complaint is that the pen has to be plugged in and the cord is pretty short! I'm having to buy an extension cord to make use easier. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who wants a 3D printer but can't pay the cost! It's really fun to use!
