Beautiful craftsmanship, great features!

I recently read about Lockly on Engadget and really liked how this company seemed to solve the pin code security issues that is common with regular key pads. The first thing I noticed when I received my Lockly Secure Plus is the nice packaging and thorough installation manual. I actually visited their support site and watched the video and my installation only took about 15 minutes. I was very pleased with the color of the lock as it matched my front door really well and the product felt and looked very premium. The lock is built very well and looks very nice. I like the fact that Lockly also has a physical key option which was what sold my wife who is paranoid with smart devices. The touchscreen works great and is durable. I really liked how the numbers on the touchscreen shuffle so nobody can tell which pin code I am typing. Very clever and it works very well. While you can use your phone (via the Lockly app) to unlock the door, I found that the Fingerprint reader is very fast and works perfect! I highly recommend this smartlock and find the features to be very useful. PROS: Beautifully designed, great craftsmanship, useful features, easy installation with helpful installation manual CONS: Prime was not available when I ordered mine

Great design, premium build, high end features.

I was a little hesitant to go with this lock instead of a Schlage or Kwikset, just because those brands are a little more well known and established, and Lockly is a small startup from San Francisco. But after receiving and installing the Lockly Secure Plus deadbolt, I'm so glad I took the risk on Lockly. The build quality is absolutely top notch. The exterior hardware is made out of high quality metal, and it feels solid and hefty. It looks and feels smooth and sleek, and definitely seems premium. The interior side is plastic, but it still feels well made and durable. Installation really isn't too tricky. I read reviews that said it's pretty complicated or some that said they hired a handyman to do it, but honestly, if you just read the installation manual, I think most people can handle it. It took me about 15 minutes and I had no issues. The lock is easy to program with the app. The app is well designed and simple, and it just works. Very intuitive. The fingerprint reader is in a good position, and it works quickly and accurately. I love having the fingerprint reader on there, it's incredibly convenient and very secure. I didn't see another smart lock with that feature, other than a Samsung one that was much more expensive and had poor reviews overall. I think Lockly is ahead of the curve on that feature, and we'll start seeing Schlage and other big companies adding that in the next few years. Overall, I'm really impressed with Lockly as a company, and I'm super excited about my lock. It looks great, functions flawlessly and keeps my home secure. I would highly recommend this lock to anyone looking for advanced features in a well designed lock.

The wife hated my idea of a smartlock ... Now she brags about it!!!

Product arrived on time, solid built and good quality. We installed it on our main door, you could do it yourself but we always get our smithy to do so just in case, do follow the instructions to the letter during the initial set up!! So far the missus and kids absolutely love the fact they no longer have to worry about keys. All registered fingerprints work like a charm (except mine which doesn't all time). Also worth noting it's a -very- hot season here and so far no hiccup whatsoever with the device the interface with the smartphone was quick the only thing you gotta be careful about is your initial code (better save as note somewhere/ do not forget) a friend down the street got his after seeing ours but forgot his code (big issue). Very pleased with it indeed would definitely recommend!!

Great Dead Bolt. Follow the instructions!

A few things: 1) This is a great product. 2) The customer service and follow up after the purchase have been the best I've ever received of all the items I've ever purchased from Amazon. 3) The fingerprint reader - Is great! I can go running without keys, my small kids can now open the door when we're lugging groceries in, and you don't have to fish around for key when your standing in the cold or rain. 4) You MUST follow the instructions when installing. I had a minor setback. I would HIGHLY recommend installing if FIRST, before starting with pairing it to your phone. When you open the box, you will find a booklet that says "Start Here" Don't do it. Start with the installation manual first. Go slow and pay attention, it's not difficult. 5) The keypad is very cool but we mostly use the fingerprint. The phone app works well too, if I need to give someone a code for temporary entry I can. If we had a housekeeper, they could have their own code, and it would log their activity. Very well packaged and again, I was very surprised at the pro-active communication from Lockly. 5 Stars after the sale, and I would put this lock up against any other on the market in terms of function and versatility.

Great Customer Service; Lots of Documentation & Video for Installation

To begin, I ordered the Lockly Fingerprint Smartlock but Amazon mistakenly sent the less expensive version of the lock - which does not have fingerprint capability. I was disappointed but didn't notice the mistake until the lock had been installed. At that point, I decided I would make due without the fingerprint capability - which is too bad, because this is a really nice lock. It is fairly easy to install and works well. I had no problem installing the iPhone app or programming codes. There was an issue with activating the screen on the lock but I discovered that it was my error. I didn't follow the directions. When I sent Lockly an email to ask for help, they immediately responded. They even followed up with me a few days later to make sure that the lock was functioning properly. Impressive customer service! I highly recommend this lock.

Intuitive to install and App is easy to use

Installed in about 45 minutes last night. Should have been 30 but I missed a step in the install. Note that the deadbolt must be extended at time of installation otherwise the app will show the door as locked when unlocked and vice versa. The fit and finish is good. the app is easy to use. I setup 3 access codes and 3 fingerprints in about 10 minutes. I was worried the lock would sit so close to the jam that I wouldnt be able to use the scanner which proved to be incorrect. Bluetooth signal is pretty weak. You must be within a few feet of the door to use it. Ordered a wifi bridge to remedy this issue.

BEST DEAD BOLT LOCK I HAVE TRIED !

This deadbolt lock took about 1/2 hour to install (using existing holes in the door). The numbers within each touch button on the keypad change positions automatically so if someone is standing behind you while you key in your pin # they will not be able to see your pin #. The deadbolt automatically locks within a minute or so (make sure your door is fully closed before it locks). Fingerprint entry application works very very very well. You can also turn off the bolt lock at night so that no one can "mess" with the keypad. There are other bells and whistles such as an alternate ability to unlock your deadbolt if the batteries are expired, keyboard lockup if wrong codes are entered 3 times etc. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE PHONE APPLICATION FOR THIS LOCK TO WORK. It works on its own with the items that come in the box or you can control your lock by phone by downloading the app into your phone. You gotta try this lock -- it's awesome! The only improvement I can see in the future is that the manual key cover would be lockable and require a fingerprint or pin # to unlock the key cover.

Don't have to worry about an unlocked door

I wanted a lock that would lock itself, because the children would go out the door and forget to lock it. On top of that, they would lose their keys. The Lockly lock with the fingerprint reader looked like the perfect solution. I really like the fingerprint reader on this lock. It took a little time to train the lock with your fingerprint. (You have to scan it 6 times at different orientations.) It is much quicker to scan your fingerprint than enter the combination. I really like the convenience. The lock is sturdy. It has a Schlage style key. So, it may use those components. The key pad is pretty bright. The photo was taken at night with a flash. This lock fits in a standard 2 1/8" hole. My front door is 20 years old and 1 1/2" holes were common. It was a little tricky to saw a bigger hole. After that, the installation was straight-forward. I am so happy with this lock, I will get a second one to lock the door between the house and garage. It is so convenient, I'll actually have that door locked now.

Looks Awesome Functions Beautifully

Super easy installation, clean eligant look. Functions flawlessly, phone app simple and handy. Love the auto lock feature, I can just walk out the door and not ever worry if I locked the door or not. No extra key to carry unless you are old school or want that added sense of security.. The changing placement on the numbers to enter your passcode is awesome and I’m digging the finger print scanner a lot! I’ve owed key pad door looks before this by far is the BEST! Highly recommend this to anyone that wants a clean futuristic safe locking system for their front door.. Absolutely Love It!!

Nice looking lock with all the bells and whistles

I have only had it installed for a few hours so I will have to update my review once it gets a little more use. One of the things that initially scared me away from Lockly was the professional reviewers universal agreement that it’s the hardest lock “in the industry” to install. I am about as far from a DIYer as one can get - and I had ZERO difficulties installing this device. Took me a half hour at most. The instructions were a little unclear but, if you read them through, you will have no issues. It’s a handsome piece of hardware - and seems very sturdy, as well. I am hoping that they will come out with other smart home items that will work with the Lockly but that wasn’t a deal-breaker for us.
