This is an awesome camera! I wasn't sure that it would be better than the video on my LG phone but the quality and features far exceed what you get from your smartphone. The camera comes with 2 batteries. They tend to last at least a couple of hours and when resting they will keep a charger for days. It also comes with zoom lenses that are easy to screw on and off. The remote is great and one of the reasons I got it. It's a nice feature to have when you are shooting by yourself. You will need batteries for it. AAA if I remember correctly. The microphone exceeds anything you will get in a smartphone. It clips on the top and can be adjusted for close range or distance. The microphone does come with a battery and an extra battery. Other things that come in the box are cleaning cloths and a really nice carrying case. If you do any sort of online video this is a great camera for the price. Very pleased!

Order a memory card with camera to use same day

Everything I needed was in the box, all I needed to add was a memory card and charge one of the 2 included batteries and I was ready to go. The camera was easy to understand and easy to put together, in the pictures you can see it put together with everything but the arm that comes up from the back so you can hold it at a lower angle with ease. The camera is the size and feel of small camcorders of years past, but this camera holds a lot more features and quality. With the add-on (included) bigger lens it gives a very good picture and I noticed a clean and clear picture even when zoomed in or out all the way. Some of the cool features are the remote the external microphone, the night vision, the anti-shake, and the Wifi capabilities. The Wifi capabilities are really quite cool since you can view and control the camera without holding the camera. While this is not really in the DSLR category, it does advertise 4K resolutions and is a much smaller, more portable, and affordable camera than the DSLR family. This is not a replacement for a DSLR, if you need that quality and functionality, you need to buy that class of camera.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Would buy again

This does an excellent job for general filming use. It's not making 4K viral vlogs, but we've used it around the house and office. It records to my High Speed SD car with no issues and over all performance is better than I expected. The wide angle lens is a great addition to capture a bit more with the sacrifice of a little fish eye. Batteries hold enough of a charge that we have not run out yet. The touchscreen was more responsive that I expected which is a treat. I would certainly buy again for the value. And the mic on top makes me look official AF.

A compact camcorder with many advanced features

I love this camcorder: it has a multitude of advanced features such as a detachable microphone, an external wide angle lens, and infrared night vision. I especially love the fact that it also comes with a remote control for taking selfie videos. The quality is great considering the price. I would definitely bring this video camera to graduations and on vacation as its compact size makes it a convenient travel companion.

Decent Entry Level Camera

The camera comes with a lot of accessories which makes it easy to get started. The quality is surprisingly good for the price point. I needed a camera for a project to just use without worrying about destroying a more expensive camera and it worked well. The image quality is good but the zoom is not a true zoom. The image gets super blurry if you do use the zoom function because it is cropping in on the image. (Digital Zoom) Also the menu navigation was really confusing. You cannot access the full menu right away, you have to switch into different modes to find a particular setting. It was hard to figure out where the settings were. The menu experience can definitely be improved. The one feature that was really useful for me was the night vision. The IR light on the camera was really strong and bright enough to illuminate the room in night vision mode. The sensor itself is not good in low light and it ends up being grainy but switching to night vision mode made the image usable. Of course it is not in color in this mode but it adds more use cases to this camera. Overall pretty useful camera but with its limitations. Keep in mind what price point this camera comes in and what limitations it has and you wont be disappointed.

Great camera

This video camera kit comes with the camera itself, 2 lithium-ion batteries, 1 power adapter, 1 wide angle lens, 1 macro lens, external mic, 1 data and HDMI cord, and bag for the camera. It is a perfect budget camera for casual users. Considering its price, the camera comes with lots of awesome features, e.g. supporting multiple languages, night vision, and HDMI port. This video camera does a nice job with videos and photos. Nothing a cell phone can't accomplish, but it's nice to have a dedicated camcorder that can record for extended periods. The camera is very straight forward and easy to use. There is a manual, but the camera itself was very intuitive. The touch screen can be rotated 270 degrees. There is a hot shoe which allows you to put the external mic onto the camera. There are also holes on the bottom to put it onto a tripod if you have one. It is not too heavy even if I put everything onto it, so I did not feel tired even if I use if for quite some time. And its buttons are easy to control by only one hand. I have been letting my kids use the camera and they have making all sorts of "movies". Has been a fun camera.

Reasonable Vlogging Video Camera for the Money

This is a light-weight, easy to hold and transport video camera. The setup instructions are a bit hard to follow at first, but once I understood them the camera was easy to use. The video comes out crisp. The infrared feature is amazing--such a quality difference between using this feature and not when you're filming in the dark. The zoom is digital, and as such the image becomes grainier when zoomed in on. The camera takes adequate pictures, but using a separate camera would definitely be better. You cannot take a picture at the same time as a video. It's convenient that it uses an SD card (note that it's not included), and it easily connects to your computer. The remote control is very handy. For the money, it's a reasonable vlogging video camera.

Good Quality

I like this cam a lot. I bought this for my blog and I am happy with my purchase. It is easy to use and very practical. Mic captures good quality audio. So far so good!
