Great mod

Great easy mod for the JKU.

Totally worth it. Secure fit and a nice unique look.

As described. These are a very nice quality latch from the JL jeep model. Install in straightforward by unbolting and bolting the new ones in. Do keep in mind that you are modifying a latch from another model to your jeep, so there will be some adjusting and such along the way. I found it best to remove the grill to access the Lower bolts, ans this only takes about 2 minutes to do so. There are a handful of YouTube videos out there for installs of these latches and how to remove the grill so use that to your advantage if you need some reassurance on doing these.

Solid hood latches

These good latches took me about an hour to install and very little modification on 2 of the holes. They are solid and love them.

I should have done this sooner

I was driving to Moab and as semis would pass me I was getting a lot of hood flutter. I wanted to find a solution and these worked great. They are extremely sturdy and really easy to install. I did not have to enlarge any openings. All I did was line up the tabs and tighten them down into the existing holes. They look much better than the stock JK hood catches. Great product, well packaged and fast shipping.

I put these on my 2015 wrangler and they work perfectly. They eliminated all my hood flutter and look great. The only thing you have to do to get them to fit right on the jk is trimming the little alignment tabs off. (You can see what I did in the pictures).

Easy upgrade for a JK.

Great upgrade for a JK. No more hood flutter. You will have to drill larger holes for the lower alignment tabs, but other than that it's a quick and easy upgrade.

Awesome Upgrade

This is a must have for anyone that travels on the interstate regularly. No more hood flutter. Seems to be made well. And it looks great on my 2018 JKU. I did have to trim the alignment pins, but I still give it 5 stars because I knew I'd have to do this. After all, the latch is designed for a JL.

Great replacement latches!

I really like the look of these JL hood latches. They are of high quality and I look forward to installing them as soon as possible.

JK installation with NO drilling!

Easy install! JK owners, there's NO DRILLING REQUIRED! I took pliers and twisted off the retaining posts on the two sides of the latch. The two latches work perfectly fine without them. All the other bolts match up and look great when you're finished. Definitely recommend if you're looking to swap from other latches to these... Definitely a great secure upgrade! Inside base latch bolt, I went though the fender liner as it was easiest. A little tedious but took maybe 30 mins to do both sides.

Easy to install; eliminates hood flutter

I have these stock already on my JL and like how snug they are. I used these to replace my stock hood latches on my JK. No modification to the Jeep was necessary. I snipped and filed down the tabs on the new latches instead. I recommend using the factory nuts in place of the nuts that came with the new latches. The latches seem snug enough to stop hood flutter. They’re not the same quality and material of the OEM JL latches but close enough. The inside mechanisms are, however, made of metal where the OEM inside mechanisms are plastic.
