Perfect Fit

There are no issues with the lid whatsoever. I almost didn't purchase this item because of negative comments about the lid. It is sturdy and stays in place. Though the color says "Shadow Gray" it's more of a bronze. A new bathroom renovation did not leave much room for a waste bin, much less a covered one! This little dynamo fit a 8.5" - 9" width and it's perfect!

Cheap but does what it needs to do - bathroom trashcan that hides the trash

I needed a trashcan to replace the white one in the photo that has a lid. Pros: this trash can does hold a standard plastic grocery bag with the lid and the trash is hidden. Cons: Now that there's a lid, I can't walk over and drop any bathroom trash into the bin! I didn't know I would need a foot stool so many times. I might upgrade some point in the future. This was so cheap that I can't complain about it doing what it said.

Perfect for the bathroom

Exactly what I wanted. Decent quality. The swinging lid is easy to clean and to remove, but not so easy it falls off when I don't want it to. I use it as a cat waste bin rather than the litter genie things anymore, and it works quite well for that (though I do keep it under my sink to help with the smell as the lid isn't airtight or anything).

Excellent

Funnily, a trash can would last years as nobody cares. So, this time I spent quite a long time and chose this one in all necessary features - a perfect size to hold trashes for a week or two, with a cover to hide inside, lightweight, plastic, reasonable price. If you are picky when to buy and never throw an old one, unless it is broken, this is the perfect one for you.

Small trash can

I bought this trash can for my boyfriend's apartment and it is perfect! His apartment is so small so it is such a struggle to make the most of the tight space, but this trash is the perfect size to fit between his toilet and bathtub. I read lots of complaints in the reviews about the lid not staying on, but I haven't had any problems with that. The only downside to this trash can is because it is so small, you can't put very much into it before the lid will no longer swing freely.

Just the function I was looking for!

I bought 3 of these garbage cans, hoping it would stop my dogs from tipping over and raiding my bathroom garbage cans. It worked! Great bathroom size, and it blends in with the decor of all 3 of the bathrooms I have them in. I don't use them with a liner bag inside, as I think it would be hard to put the top on and it would ruin the look, but these are very easy to wipe clean as the need arises.

Nice small sized bathroom wastebasket

I love this wastebasket. The taupe color semi-matte finish is stylish and has the look of quality. The lid fits securely and the swing top moves freely and returns to closed position perfectly. An added bonus is the fact that you may purchase a wastebasket at the Dollar Tree that fits nicely inside of this one. I use this to hold my plastic bag (Walmart bags work well) and tuck the overlap inside before inserting it into the outer wastebasket which leaves no bag showing on the outside.
