bought this on accident - but i'm keeping it

I was looking for one of those reverse folding umbrellas. Somehow I thought this was one of those and ordered it. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't. Since it was going to rain the week I bought it I thought i would try it out first before deciding to return it. But I am keeping it! For someone who is used to cheap flimsy umbrellas, this was a surprise. It is a really nice, very sturdy, well-made umbrella. Because of this, it is a bit heavier than I am used to. It seems reinforced with thicker material. I live down south where it doesn't rain that much - I could see this being really good for someone who lives in a more rainy area just because it seems to be a more heavy-duty umbrella that wont' let you down.

Sturdy, great graphic and compact size

It’s always a pleasure to order a color/pattern based on a web description/photo and it comes out of the box almost exceeding your expectations. This umbrella is a hit, bought it for my wife because, her store brand model flipped and contorted into a horrendous mess last weekend. When this umbrella is retracted and encased, it is slightly heavier than the conventional chrome ribbed types. The skeleton is a nice polished black metal, and the ribs have a spring flexion halfway along their length that engages whenever the wind attempts to invert it (looks like how a birds wing flexes). It fits nicely in the car door and the spring release is quick...do not point at anyone it looks like it would hurt. Overall the size fits my wife perfectly she’s around 5’5” and it fits her perfectly. It’s a tight squeeze for my 6’4” frame, so guys this one is not for us.

Perfect Timing and Product

I wished I had ordered this umbrella sooner. I like to walk my dog, but I am not a big fan of hats unless gardening, and I don't like the sun beating down on me for very long. I was so happy to receive the ABC umbrella! It is light weight, a good size but not too big, sturdy against the wind, and kept me cooler since the sun was not shining on my skin. I plan to use this umbrella all summer and beyond. I love it and highly recommend it!

Block out sunlight almost completely. Sturdy construction. Thicker ribs. 8 ribs instead of 6. Recommend buying.

I like the blue ABCCanopy umbrella : (1) The underside is pitch black. Sun light appears to be completely blocked. (2) It has 8 ribs, instead of 6. It is more resistant to inversion caused by winds. (3) The construction appears to be good. Ribs are thicker than those of regular umbrella. I have a problem with the umbrella failing to lock on closing. Amazon took care of it.

Extremely sturdy umbrella

We bought 2 of these umbrellas for a trip to Ireland. They are extremely sturdy and come with a nice slip cover for nice packing and storing. Great product!

Compact pop open and closed umbrella

Decided to pay more for a more durable umbrella and wasn't disappointed. An unlatch and a button press extends the umbrella to full length, another button press shakes out the water so you can close it. No wind storms yet, but it definitely feels sturdy. Recommended.
