Bought this solely to use for airplane travel. I have an 8lb toy poodle, on the tall side. I will be flying Delta, on an MD-88 and Boeing 757-200. The dimensions for the latter are quite small (13w x 13l x 8h), so I sprung for the upgrade to the Comfort+ section (13w x 15l x 11h). I purchased this carrier and the AmazonBasics one (in medium), but this one is way better. I took one look at the AmazonBasics version and knew my dog wouldn't fit. This one, on the other hand, is so spacious! As soon as I put him in and zipped it up, he stood, turned around and laid down - which some airlines require the dogs be able to do. When he sits/stands, he's still pressed up against the top mesh, but it's at least soft and he has plenty of "windows" to see out of. The pad on the bottom is also nice and soft, and I love that one side has a small opening you can unzip to give treats or a few comfort pats. I will say, he HATED being in there, and I had to reward him constantly with treats (pupperoni training treats - his fav). The only drawback for me is that the zippers are very stiff and get stuck easily, which makes it difficult when trying to zip quickly and also avoid any fur. Nevertheless, this carrier is exactly what I was looking for, especially because it's soft and I know it will have enough give to make it fit under the airplane seat if there are any issues.

This is a very sturdy and good looking carrier! I ordered it early Friday morning and it got here by 10:30am on Saturday. The bed inside is extremely soft. It held my tall 10lb cat perfectly, although he did stretch the top when standing up all the way, he could turn around in circles with ease. When carrying it around with my cat inside, the top and sides barely collapsed inwards and held its shape very well. (with the handles and the shoulder strap) I primarily bought this to take my cats to the vet (separately, they are both tall 10 lbs kitties) and so I can get rid of the hard carrier that they both hate. If I ever had to travel with both at the same time, whether by car or plane, I would order another one of these so they both can travel in comfort and safety. As for right now, the only thing I would suggest to make it better would be more padding on the shoulder strap so it's more comfortable to carry with a animal inside. I also wish it had more color options. I love the grey color and it matches my male cats fur perfectly, but I wish there was also a black option to match my female cats fur!

I did a lot of research on pet carriers before we traveled on Southwest with our cat. This carrier turned out to be perfect. Not only is it well-made and sturdy, it has several features that I think make it superior to other carriers I looked at. First, it has the little opening on the side that you can use to pet your cat, or give water/treats - all without having to fully open the carrier. It also has zipper locks - genius! The top load feature is also a must for getting your pet in/out at the security without a struggle. My cat did have one accident during travel and I was able to easily take the cover off the bottom mat and clean it and wipe the carrier. Lastly, this carrier fit under the seats on both of our Southwest flights - one newer plane and one older plane. There is some give to the carrier, so it can be crunched a bit if needed - though, we did not need to do that.

I work in Veterinary Medicine and I often get asked about products that I like / recommend. I wanted to share this pet carrier which is by Sugar Loaf Home Goods. This by far is the best product I've seen on the market / used personally. The best part about it is the quality and details. They really thought this one out to where it's simply a fantastic product. Little clips on the zippers to keep them shut when in transit, a small zipper area for treats or a quick head rub, three entry points (left and right side and the top, not including the little treat entry) and it folds down flat for easy storage when not in use. The QUALITY is awesome! None of the cheap vinyl / plastic feel and quality this one has mesh that is more durable than others out there. I was able to transport two adult cats in one carrier, which saved money and stress. Great carrier, great price. No problems at the airlines in terms of size, but buyers should be aware that the airports will ask you to remove your pet(s) from the carrier. Ask for a private security screening and it makes everything much easier. No one wants their animal as a permanent fixture at the airport.

My teacup Poodle, Poppy, and I love this pet taxi! He was a little nervous at first as this is his first carrier but warmed up to it quickly. The fleece is so soft he was comfortable and laying down in no time. I saw complaints about the straps but they seem to be sturdy and we have a very small <5lb pet. We use this carrier to take him to the pet store because he doesn't like to be held for a long time. I like the top load and to mesh so he can look around and I don't feel like I'm shoving him in the side entry. Because he's only 8 weeks and hasn't had all his shots, our vet recommended taking him out in a carrier to prevent Parvo. It's more than enough room for him to lay, stand, and take a few steps.

I can't believe this product is only $30. The quality of the material is superb; this will last a long time. It folds flat but zips up to make a very sturdy carrier, with support bars along the top that make a solid skeleton. It supports my 15-pound pug\chihuahua with ease. The attention to detail is marvelous; see pictures for the clasp that ensures the zippers won't unzip unless you want them to. The bottom of the carrier (where the dog lays) is a cozy cushion wrapped around a solid base that ensures the dog has a flat and steady surface to stand on when it's being carried. Even better, this cushion unzips from the base so you can throw it in the wash. The option to load from the top or sides makes it so much easier to get a nervous pup where she needs to be. I know my dog will be much happier being able to poke her head out too, because there are so many zipper options. I don't normally write reviews, but when something is this good of a value, I have to show my appreciation. The only thing that could be improved is the ease of use of the zipper, but it may just be the nature of zipping along curves that makes it a bit tricky.

My 5 lb yorkie-chi and I LOVE this very well-made bag! I bought it to use mainly in my car, because I often take him with me when I run errands, etc, and I needed something much safer for him than what I had been previously using. (I chose the light grey because darker colors absorb more heat from the sun, i.e. why we wear white in the summer to stay cooler.) My little guy usually rides in the front passenger seat next to me. Our hard plastic pet crate was safer for a car accident because it is hard plastic, but it took up so much space, needed lots of blankets to pad the sides in case of impact, and it was hard to open & close the metal "gate" door all the time. Plus it was impossible to keep the seat belt from slipping off of it. So I finally shopped & found THIS JETSITTER CARRIER. This has SPECIAL SEATBELT STRAPS (yay!) to keep the bag securely in place. This takes up half the space of a hard plastic crate, yet it's roomy enough for my little guy to comfortably stand & move around. There is plenty of ventilation all around, but the side that will be facing the car's a/c vents is the side with the smaller window, so he won't have the a/c blowing on him too much. He is approx 13" long from his nose to his bottom, but he is a skinny guy with thin bones, which is why he is only 5 lbs. The soft fleece liner pad that came with this bag is Super-plush. I also like the slightly padded sides for extra comfort. He climbed inside & claimed this bag as soon as it arrived! And btw, it arrived fast! I have many different pet carrier bags & pet hand-bags, plus a pet stroller to carry him in. Each serves a different purpose. This is a WINNER for a car carrier, AND for if we fly anywhere! Also, it folds flat & takes up no space in the trunk if we ever need to transport a human instead. Lol :) If you have to choose just ONE pet carrier bag for your small pet (under 10 lbs), I highly recommend this bag! - XO

I seriously could NOT be more pleased with this purchase. I have been through a few cat bags, and they have all fallen apart or arrive not even close to as expected. Where do I begin! The picture is very accurate as far as the way it looks - it's very sleek, VERY sturdy, durable when folded up and re-opened back to it's shape. It's got a really sturdy bottom, which other bags always claim - but is never the case. My cat is 16 lbs (big boy) but we travel with him all of the time, so it's important to have a travel home that he LOVES. This is the first bag that he actually sleeps in 24/7 when we leave it open at the house - usually he can't WAIT to get out of any of the bags we've had before. It's literally cat approved - which was a first. Both sides open up completely, as well as the top. It's tall so it feels more spacious, and it's zipper pocked on the outside which is helpful. My favorite part - is the placement of the long handle on either end of the bag. Usually the hand starts about midway up each end - causing the bag to swivel left to right as we're holding it. This bag's long strap starts at the TOP of either end - so when you pick it up it DOES NOT MOVE whatsoever. It's a game changer. I never realized how much of a difference it makes. Literally - best kitty bag ever.

The carrier is VERY nice and exceeded my expectations. I bought it for my chihuahua and it is more than adequate for her. I love the way it folds for storage and how you can choose between top or end loading. There is also a safety latch to connect to your dog's collar to prevent him/her from moving around too much inside - if that is a concern. I love the mesh sides because it allows my dog to look out and see me, relieving uncertainty anxieties. It's a quality bag and I would buy it again if I needed another carrier.
