Complete Dock including everything you need

Got this for my new MacBook Pro (only including type C connector). This one does it all. you can read your memory card. connect to HDMI to TV or other display device. I can't speak for how this would work with other USB-Type C laptop but I would imagine it would be seamless. Solid Grey color to match my Macbook. I would recommend it to anyone who are looking for a USB type C Hub.

High quality for low cost

Newer laptops nowadays are built lighter, slimmer with the sacrifice of fewer output ports. This adapter relieves the stress of having to unplug/switch to different devices when I need to use them. Now I can simultaneously connect my laptop to external monitor via HDMI, usb drive, usb-ethernet adapter, my keyboard/mouse accessories via the usb3 ports, instead of buying that $150~ docking station from the laptop manudacturer, save me a lot of money. Besides, the adapter is much smaller than the dock that I can bring it with me on travel. The build material give me the same high quality feel as the Macbook frame.

Build quality and finish looks great. All ports working great and extension cable looks quite sturdy. Yet to test the power delivery option but so far so good! Has a bit of weight and hefty looking but give great confidence on the product reliability compared to the full plastic options.

Such an amazing product!

This is an amazing product! It works perfectly! I was originally going to buy a different one but the reviews weren't great and I am so glad I go this one. It feels great because of the weight and with the metal feel. The color is also so clean and it matches my MacBook so nicely! Also the USB C is like a gold color and it looks awesome! I was able to charge my Mac and phone at the same time along with putting my screen onto a TV and having a USB in it! Would totally recommend!

file transfer occurs quickly, doesn't get too hot.

This hub has exceeded my expectations. I will admit that this was probably not hard to do, as my prior workflow involved waiting for JPEGs and even EPUBs to transfer. Honestly the files being moved were not that large, but with any significant volume (>25), my prior workflow involved a lot of waiting. This hub eliminated that, I never felt any lag at all. Many of the ports were in use for charging and file transfers. I don't have real numbers but file transfers were very fast to the Samsung T5 SSD, from the SD card and from the phone via USB, photos transferred very quickly from the SD card to the Pixelbook, much faster than plugging the camera in using the camera data port to USB-A (in a different computer, so not apples to apples comparison, I realize; however that was my workflow prior to getting the Pixelbook and the USB hub). It was literally plug-and-play with the google Pixelbook. It didn't hot at all, maybe a little warm. The PD charging works, no "slow charging" flags. I can't speak to the long term quality of this device, but I'm pretty good about giving updates on items that I use long term, so I'm confident that I will update, good or bad, with use.
