A WiFi baby cam that works

A WiFi baby cam that actually works well. Easy set up with the app, and all the gear you need to mount to wall comes in the box. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The magnetic base is shockingly strong. Picture quality is good (including night vision). Live stream to app is reliable. Couldn’t be more pleased with the purchase. Can’t wait to try it with the owlet sock.

The ease of your phone is the best thing about this!

I love this camera! The picture is so clear. I can actually put her down to do things knowing I can watch her through my phone instead of a grainy monitor. It’s gives me peace of mind during her naps and overnight. I would recommend it to all parents.

Great buy

This has been a great option to watch my kiddo (although not a baby still super helpful). Simple directions to get it started and hooked up. Great investment that I’ll use for many years to come!

Best camera w/ easiest setup - worth the money!

Honestly after trying countless other cameras, the Owlet Cam was the easiest to set up, with the best picture and streaming quality, and has been a breeze to use. I love the two way audio feature and can't believe it took me less than 10 minutes to set up (and LOVE that it comes with cord guards!!). Would highly recommend!

Owlet sure has come a long way.

In full disclosure, I used to work at Owlet in the beginning. I have seen the version 1.0 products, and this, by far, is their best implementation. This product isn't without annoyances, but the user experience is leaps and bounds over the original Owlet. What it gets right: * Mounting Materials - Man the magnets in this thing do exactly what you want. * Quality - Leaps and bounds. It feels like a $150 product. It looks better than the pictures. * Setup - Flawless really. A QR code to set up the wifi. Full updates that worked. Honestly, impressive. * Quality - The video is pretty great. It's super wide angle, so you get to see a lot for such a tiny lens. What they could improve on (mostly all software): - No ability to flip the image. I mean, I am sure I'm not supposed to mount it upside down as I did, but I wish I could flip it. On the note as well, they should offer orientation. This wouldn't be a ton of work in the app. - Annoyance, you have to apply the camera to a kid. But I guess that's the point right? - In-App recording. I guess it's recording to the micro SD card, but it doesn't really me know or revisit those clips. I guess I'll have to download the chip later to see how that's run. - No zoom? Not even pinch zoom? Again, a small app issue, but I am shocked it's missing. - Bug - The 2-way radio thing is odd and gets locked up. They should put a cache in the app to resolve this so the user isn't delayed by the API calls from the device. - Since there's no pan you're stuck in one spot. - No ability to adjust the focus. Can't click to change where it's focused at. That's a real bummer, as seen in the screenshot. Now that all being said, they used Firebase auth which means this is more of a Google Cloud Platform/GCP product. This is probably why it's quite solid. The speed is great. It does what you expect, and it provides Owlet an external temperature gauge as well as a movement metrics to further validate the sock's operation. If you can spring for the cam, I'd say it's solid quality. And if you have a newborn to pair the sock up with, I am SURE they can provide you some truly amazing insights into your baby's health. Plus, since my baby was sleeping, I mounted it in an odd place. Hence the image (this is an untampered screenshot with night vision. Pretty dang clear). ;)

Great for travel-clear picture quality!! Your phone or iPad can be the central hub!

We love this monitor. We used Angel Care previously and purchased this one for our newborn. We loved it so much we bought 2! One for our toddler as well. Clear picture. Easy to move around the house and to use for travel! Highly recommended!

Amazing, high-quality product

We have owned a few baby monitors and this one is the best by far. For the same price as other products, this one has an Apple-quality feel and design. The app works great and the picture is perfect. Magnetic base is a nice touch. Only feedback: I wish the camera had zoom.

Best Video Monitor!

I have loved using this video monitor! Just like all Owlet products, they never disappoint! I now have two as a way to keep tabs on far away parts of my home; wherever my kids might be, in addition to where my youngest is sleeping. The night vision quality is fantastic and the app is user friendly. I love that you can add different kids etc. and it tracks temp and sound. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase.
