Tomte Gnome Is Very Nisse

The ITOMTE Handmade 16" Swedish Scandinavian Gnome is a winner! My wife purchased him for me to compliment our large Tinklink gnome plush. We have an "eclectic" fairy tale decor in our house and he fits right in. I love the bendable top of his cap and the fact that he's weighted just right so that he won't easily tip over. Perfect Tomte for the Swedish Collector

Love, love, love this adorable little handmade Swedish Tomte. We are of Swedish heritage and love to collect and decorate our American home with Swedish handicrafts. The little tomte is well-designed, well-constructed, and totally so engaging. So cute will watch over your Christmas tree at Christmas time and can be used as a decoration all winter. I have had friends send me some from Sweden, but the postage is so high. When I found these on Amazon, I was so excited. I plan to buy several others as gifts for our big family —who all love the Swedish decorations. Tack så mycket! — that's Swedish for Thanks so much!

Sweet Nisse!

This little guy is adorable! I grew up in a family full of Norwegian customs. Nisse were part of the Christmas decor at my grandparents' homes every year. I was shopping for other Christmas items when this popped up as a suggestion. I couldn't resist ordering him and am so glad I did. He is well constructed and the perfect size to sit in my office over the holiday season. The base is perfectly weighted so that he won't tip over easily. There is a wire through the length of his hat to assist with shaping. This is really a cute, quality piece. I hope the company continues to produce more Nisse, including larger sizes. I'd love a 3-4 foot one in my entryway at home. I might have to add another color to my budding collection. Can't have this guy getting lonely when the office is closed.

Adorable and Durable

I absolutely love these. I have purchased two different versions (one standing and one sitting) and they are ADORABLE. The product itself is extremely high quality that I know will be able to last for years. I love the design, the history, and the look. Will be purchasing more in the future as gifts AND for myself :)

Great quality!

Bought one for my mom and one for me for the winter holidays. We both ended up keeping them out all year, because we love them so much! I like the wire in the hat to change the shape. There is enough weight in the bottom to keep him upright, so there is no bracing necessary. So in love!

I love this little guy! I first saw tomtes on a recent trip to Iceland and regretted not getting one then. How happy I was to find them on Amazon! The quality is top-notch. iTomte/iGnome is the real deal, too. There are a couple other companies on Amazon that are stealing their exact design and it's unfair. Tomte is part of a broader Scandinavian mythology, so the fact they are producing them isn't the problem--it's the fact that they are producing exact (but lower quality) replicas of the iTomte/iGnome tomtes. So... if you're switching between browser tabs trying to choose between identical tomtes made by different companies, choose this one!

Must Have!

Absolutely hilarious! You gotta have one of these spirit-lifters! He brings laughter from everyone who spots him, which makes him far faster and far less expensive than a trip to the circus or a psychotherapist. And by the way, this tomte looks and feels exactly as advertised.

Loved Sockervits Sven

Loved Sockervits Sven! We bought him to use at work during the holiday season for an"Elf on the shelf" replacement. We wanted something differnt than an elf. Whats better than an elf? Why a gnome of coarse. He was our roaming gnome. He is such great quality. Nice good size. Loved that he is weighted and can stand on his own. The tip of the hat has wire so you can move it and give him extra character. His beard is nice and soft and gives it that real look and feel. So beautifully crafted. Even with the holidays over, he sits where everyone can see him. We love him too much to but away!
