I did what I needed very pleased

While it is still time consuming to use this scanner....it does a better job converting that previous models.

Great captures. Easy to use. Also, instructions don't mentioned the fact that you do not have to remove the slide transport to insert a mounted slide each time. You can simply push each slide thru (R 2 L) with the next slide to be scanned. This allows for much faster scanning.

For the price, it is a good piece of equipment. If I had my druthers, I would allow saving to specific folders in the SD drive. Would make my life easier. But I have several thousand slides and not enough money to have them digitized. I do have time to do it myself.

I purchased the Zonos scanner to convert about 3,000 45 year old slides to a digital format and I have not been disappointed. I am not printing these, so for my purposes the quality is excellent. It is easy to use after you learn how to open the tray for the slide. It seems delicate and I was afraid of breaking it. After 1,800 slides It is holding up just fine. The process is quick. I get a reel of 100 onto the SD card in about 30 minutes with occasional editing for brightness or color. Finer editing is done once I transfer them to a program on my laptop. I chose this scanner over others because of the larger viewing screen and it is a big plus as far as I am concerned. Great little gadget!
