Purchased for my 9-year-old step daughter who has taken an interest in learning counter cross-stitch. The pre-printed pattern has helped her and makes the experience more enjoyable for a young person. Very cute.

Loved it. Great pattern and design. Was just beautiful when finished. Easy to read and do.

Even Better than described!

This autumn bird is so easy to stitch bc it's a no count, beautifully painted in canvas. I do a lot of counted cross stitching and so it's such a fun time to stitch something so pretty w/o having to count. Also, the threads are DMC-!- and are already organized [separated by color and number] on an organizer card so I got right to it and began stitching wih one of the two needles they include! I have worked up 5 or 6 of Joy Sunday kits in the past 2 yrs or so and I love them. One turned out to be a counted c/s and that's fine... just be careful if you don't want that. :) All their kits have been just the most wonderful treat for me to stitch, give, keep and I recommend highly. The 11 ct. like this one is good for someone who is a beginner but not for the very first project, maybe 3rd. Due to the color arrangements and the canvas colors do not match the threads assigned to it in every case. [but it's clear which colors go with what symbols!] They even give you a nice clear vinyl snap case to keep your projects in that are reusable. And its not overpriced either!

Nicely made for a beginner

Has most of what you need to get started with needlepoint. I was able to learn the basic stitches off of YouTube.

Sometime you use more thread when you use three threads.

Confidence with the product, the instructions and the finished look.

I like the how clear the chart is to follow, I like the printed canvas and the color coded letter chart to recheck when needed. I like how easy it is to carry around, the sorted threads and the fact that you use DMC colors which are easy to match if needed to restore thread that I run out of or mess up; I still mess up some, otherwise I would say this type of cross stitch is perfect for me.
