This Has worked great. Small and compact. Only thing I can say about bad about it.. and it isn't the devices fault or any one.. But you can only go as fast as your USB 3.0 port and other pc hardware.

Small enough to carry and easy to use

Neither of my 2 MacBooks have a CD/DVD drive, so I haven’t been able to watch any DVD’s, listen to CD’s, and burn DVD’s, but with this external drive, I can now and it works perfectly. To get it to work, I simply plug into to my computer, which recognizes the drive instantly and I can use it immediately without any question. I’ve watched over 10+ movies on it so far, and they have all played without a hitch or any problems. I haven’t burned any CD’s yet, but I imagine that it would still work smoothly as well. Some external drives are really loud, and this one is actually really quiet while reading the discs, which I appreciate. It’s slim, slight, looks pretty, and isn’t a pain to carry around. Plus it’s portable, small enough and I can just easily stick it in my laptop bag, especially when I travel. I’ve been extremely pleased with this, especially now that the newer computers don’t have CD drives and would highly recommend, especially at this price!

Exactly what I needed.

I bought this after discovering that my new laptop didn't have CD/DVD drive because I needed to be able to load the software that I had on disc. I discovered that it was extremely easy to use. It was completely plug and play. Plugged it into my laptop and it was ready to go with just a few clicks. It has a push button open/close which has a fairly light touch and slides out smoothly. And, of course, it worked great! i have used it to inatall a software and burn 2 cds and copy some my family pics. Awesome!

It works perfectly on my new macbook.

It works perfectly on my new macbook. I recently bought a new macbook air and I have been using this external dvd drive to listen to CDs, watch DVDs, and burn DVDS. I just plug in the burner and it is immediately recognized and ready to use. I has watched about a dozen movies and all played smoothly without any hiccups or skips and successfully burned 30 CD-Rs and DVD-Rs without any problem. The drive is fairly quiet while burning and reading discs. The CD drive is very slim, light and was super easy to install. Especially i like the cool appearance and looks compatible with my mackbook. Really happy with this device and I would highly recommend it again as the price is unbeatable compared to any other store I looked at.

Works like a champ!

Bought this with some reservation, but needed an external cd drive quickly and this one had good reviews. To my surprise and pleasure, it deserves them! This shipped fast and worked right out of the box. Plugged in the usb to my laptop, put in a cd of photos and away it went. Haven't tried writing to it (and don't know if it even does that....it's not why I bought it), but reading was not a problem.

It does exactly what I bought it to do. No hassles.

So this external cd drive help me solved this problem well. I plugged it into my MacBook's USB port, popped in a music CD and -- somewhat to my surprise -- it automatically opened iTunes and asked me if I wanted to copy the CD into my music library. it works on my MacBook Pro Sierra. I didn't need to download any software, the apple player recognised it straight away, the packaging it came in looks professional and I like the finish of the material that the driver is made of. it has a slim, lightweight and shockproof design, and stylish enough appearance, you can put this external CD DVD drive in the traveling bag or on your desk.

Does its job well.

I already love it!!! I didn't need to install any software; I merely connected it up, popped in a DVD and it worked. I even tried one that wouldn't read in my internal drive (which stopped functioning altogether) and it played without any issues. I have Windows 7, so the DVD/CD software was already on my laptop. Anyway, in my opinion, this is a very nice little drive. I love how compact it is and the design in general is very attractive.

I used it for my MacBook, finally I can listen to my music and watch movies, I can even burn CDs. I like it, looks good works great and priced just right.

Good looking External DVD Drive

I am using this with my New Macbook pro and it is working perfectly and I really like the stylish looking. I am using this to watch some DVD movie , it is really hard to get a Laptop that come with DVD player, but this item can definitely replace it.
