Makes Gardening Easy

We worked out in the garden the day after we received this. We had so many holes to dig to plant so many flowering bulbs. It worked like a charm! Hubby was very happy with it. What should have taken at least an hour he achieved in about 15 minutes total. We also dug holes for some plants and that was done quickly too! If you love to garden but need to make life easier and fun, get this. You won't be sorry.

Amazing, Love it

I am in love with drill bit. I planted Day lilies yesterday and It took me no time at all. I just drilled the hole and in it the plant went. Would recommend it to anyone who does little or lots of gardening.

Easiest way to plant bulbs !!!

This item made it so easy to plant all bulbs I have been gathering all winter....even in the hardest ground. I only wish I would have found this earlier !

Certainly A Time Saver and A Good Choice

I just received this item via UPS today. The first thing I did was to look at its assembly since it was difficult to see if the My main concern was, welds were cheaply done or not? For its purpose, the welding is strong. The nose is securely welded as well as the foot where you would attach to your drill. No holes or bad welds. The spiral is welded at the foot, in the middle, and at the foot securely with decent welds for the metal thickness. It is a garden bulb planter. I will use it for hole and potted vegetable placement. Trying to use it to put up fencing in somewhat hard or rocky soil may break the spiral welds if force is used. For my money, I think this was a pretty good choice.

Worked great !!

We now have much happier plants. Used auger to make holes and filled with mulch and fertilizer. Only suggestion would be to use drill with two handles (just to make it easier on your wrist) especially in rocky desert soil.

An Excellent Addition To My Gardening Tools

Works great for creating holes in hard soil for planting flowers. I also used it to "till" the soil around perennials. The gloves were a nice bonus, and every gardener can use extra pair.

Good value

I didn't realize that the gloves came with this. They are an added bonus. The auger itself is really heavy duty. Works nice with my DeWalt cordless drill. I am using to plant crown vetch on a hill.

Surprisingly good!

I confess that I was pessimistic about buying this product from the start. We have rock hard clay soil that requires a pick to break it. But my wife wanted it so I ordered the 12" x 3" auger. I told her beforehand that a 2-person gas-powered post hole auger would be more effective. I was pleasantly surprised. My wife was able to use it effectively to auger in to our rock-hard clay and plant 1 gal plants. She effectively used my Ryobi One+ drill (I would recommend being careful though, as the augering gets the drill quite dirty). I was especially pleased that when she hit sprinkler pipes during her mad-augering, the pipes were not damaged. A pick and shovel would probably have cracked the pipe but the auger action didn't do any damage -- it appears to have just deflected the bit without causing damage.
