Put on the stock rack of an 09 Rav4 and it fit perfectly. Crazy easy to install. No problem at all carrying 2 sit on top kayaks

I've only used them to carry a single kayak but it makes it easy to get it on and off of the car. Can't wait to double it up!

Great single or dual kayak carrier. Love the fold down feature. Really wish there was a way to lock these onto the bars like some other Thule carriers. Other than this I highly recommend

Doesn’t fit my factory Subaru bars as well as I’d like, but they do fit and work well. I like the ability to carry in various configurations. Very nice setup.

I could put just about any thing on this. Small canoe,1 or 2 kayaks, paddle board, etc.

Great product, fits 2 double kayaks perfectly! Very sturdy and reliable.

Sturdy, looks good, and most flexible system out.

This is another solid quality rack from Thule. When installed correctly, I feel completely confident in its ability to keep my large tandem kayak safe during transport. It comes with all the straps and tie-downs you need to keep your kayaks secure, but it doesn't come with any locks, so you'll have to get a separate lock system. The rubber saddles are nice and thick to prevent damage to your kayaks. The wing nut that adjusts the vertical post cannot come off its thread, so you won't accidentally drop and lose the nut, which is great. Installation was easy on my Chevy Tahoe with factory roof rack and crossbars. You don't have to drill any holes, it just clamps on with sturdy brackets. The brackets have a rubber coating to protect your crossbars from damage. This carrier holds my large Perception Tribe 13.5" kayak just fine. It should easily carry a second kayak when I buy another one soon. I like that the carrier can hold stand-up paddleboards as well as kayaks because it provides a lot of versatility in one carrying system and I don't have to find a different solution if I get paddleboards in the future. I would definitely recommend this carrier. You can certainly find cheaper ones, but I like the quality of the Thule brand and they have a good limited lifetime warranty on their products, so I think it's worth the price premium. This carrier is well-built so I don't think there's anything that's likely to break on it; the only thing that might degrade over time is the rubber padding if it's left in the sun every day, but if it's cared for then this carrier should last many years.

I love this kayak carrier. My husband and love kayaking but didn't go often because we didn't have our own kayaks. We hesitated to invest in kayaks because we didn't have a way to transport them. Finally this year we installed a roof rack on my small SUV that then allowed us to use a kayak carrier. This one from Thule was perfect for us. While the manual wasn't very easy to follow, I managed to find a video online that showed how to install the carrier. Watching that made the process much easier. It didn't take long and required no actual tools -- everything needed is right in the box. This carrier is versatile. It can be used to carry one or two kayaks. I even found a great video online showing how to lift one kayak onto a carrier by myself, so I can go kayaking alone. We are lucky to live only minutes from multiple kayaking spots without having to take a highway. We can take local roads to any number of spots for kayaking in and around Long Island Sound. We got quite a bit of use out of this carrier over the summer and are looking forward to many more season on the water!

The Compass is my first water toy hauler. I have used it so far with a 12' paddle board and been very pleased with how it works. Installation was super easy. It took maybe thirty minutes the first time in order to make sure that I was confident in all of the connections and how I'd assembled the hardware. Now I can take the Compass and my Thule roof bike rack off in a combined 10 minutes to make room for my rooftop cargo box on long road trips. I feel very confident in how sturdy the Compass is attached to my SUV's factory roof rails. Using the flat portions of the Compass to hold an SUP works very well. You just hoist the board above your head, drop it onto the cradle and then get to work strapping the board down. I can have it on the roof in just a couple of minutes. And I can have it off the roof and be headed down to the water in seconds. At 65+ mph the rack feels stable with a large 12' paddle board upside down and strapped tightly. No wobble or sway in the setup. But it is unavoidably loud at higher speeds. I have not yet used any locking straps or other security with the Compass, but I don't feel much need to. I have yet to park in a location where I worry that someone is going to try to wander off with a 12' 40 pound monster SUP!
