It will carry but might need to buy adapter
WARNING: before you proceed make sure that you have a way to attach this product to your car's cross bars - this kit comes only with a bolts for other thule bar system. My car - RAV4 - came with the factory installed cross bars and i had to buy an adapter. It will be an extra $30 or so dollars. Item came packaged well with a good set of instructions. Even included a product update on the side of the box, so you can see what it looks like and get some additional info about the product even before opening a box. Kudos for that. Includes everything you need for installation. If you have a thule brand crossbars you probably in luck - and will slide bolts and follow the steps and be done before lunch. I had to buy an adapter for my RAV4 - so it took an extra couple of days to get needed item. Once I received adapter and install it I was able to proceed with the rest of the installation. So made sure that everything was properly spaced and secured and after that just followed the instructions for mounting the kayak carrier. If you have not used kayak carriers before - please consider watching a video in addition to the instructions provided. This is the item that worked for RAV4 -> Thule 92509 Bolt Kit

Twice the money, is it worth it?
This is a stylish, easy to use, durable, “J hook equivalent” kayak carrier for those willing to spend a bit more money or frequently kayak. Thule is a family of roof carry system products, so if one already has a Thule roof component, adding Hull-a-Port likely adds synergistic value. For example, Hull-a-Port integrates securely, tightly, and easily with Thule’s wingbar roof rack. Suppose one doesn’t have a Thule roof products, is Hull-a-Port worth twice the price over other name-brand J hook kayak carriers? How about a Hull-a-Port with a Thule roof rack at twice to triple the price? Here, I’ll just focus on the Hull-a-Port. Hull-a-Port has numerous bells and whistles features— . Far more stylish than most other J hook carriers—helps create a sleek, all black coloring and folds compactly when not transporting kayak. . Comes with lock and key (worth $25 to $40!). . Higher quality and time saving kayak-carrier’s rope buckles and clasps. . Its "rubbery" kayak-contact, hard-plastic cushioning is more sun-resistant and durable than the foam cushioning on most J hooks. A 5 star for a frequent kayaker.

VERY STURDY
The Thule Hull A Port is very easy to install as long as you have cross bars on your vehicle. It took my husband roughly an hr to install on my Dodge Durango which has after market cross bars. The directions are straight forward. He didn’t run into any issues with the install. The rack itself is very sturdy and solid. It takes little effort fold down the rack when not using it. He took the kayak on a 30ish minute trip to the lake. There wasn’t any rattling or unnecessary shaking of the rack. Very good kayak rack, I would recommend to others.

Best quality
I cannot say enough good things about this rack. Thule is the best in the business in my opinion. The rack is sturdy and easy to use without being overly cumbersome. They look nice as well...not cheap. I wouldn't buy another brand.

Easy set up
Thule kayak was very easy to set up, already had the thule wing bar you will need some type of aftermarket bar already like the thule wing bar to set up. Install was very simple did it in about 15 min to set up my kayak, was installed it was very sturdy no play at all. Would definitely recommend for peace of mind when transporting your kayak.
