I was doubtful at first but it's fabulous!

When I first saw this, I was like "that's way overpriced and a silly idea. I can just carry my child in her carrier, my arms, her stroller, etc.". However, my best friend bought one for an upcoming vacation we were taking together and raved about it. Since it was prime with free returns, I went ahead and ordered it-- fully anticipating returning it. IT IS FABULOUS. We took a 15 month (and a stage 5 clinger...) to Disney for 5 days a few days after getting this and it was a life saver! She can walk but couldn't go the distances needed at Disney to keep up. Plus, when she wants up, this saves my arms from holding all her weight. (And she wants "up" A LOT.) It's also really handy to have extra pockets for my phone right where I can reach them. After our trip, I started keeping this in my car for trips to the grocery store and running random errands. Seriously, this is a brilliant idea and I love it. I wish I had it with my older 2!

Comfortable, Great Storage, Versatile

Without this product, I would no longer be able to hold my baby. A few years back after a car accident, I had major surgery and lost a lot of upper body functions. I was able to hold my baby in my left arm until she climbed over the 10 pound hill and then it became a struggle. I saw some of these hip type carriers being advertised and after already being out $300 on 2 full outfit carriers that were just too much on my body, I planned on purchasing one of the cheaper hip carriers. What turned me around - was the advertising page that outlines the difference between TushBaby and the cheap imitations. That document isn't a simple sales pitch, it's a list of cold hard indisputable facts and I thought there is no way I can go cheap now! (darn you TB! :) People - this thing is a dream come true for us. When I pick it up, I kid you not, my 10 month old gets all giddy and smily, she cannot wait until I have it secured so she can hop on. I wear it around the house, to the store, to everywhere really. I even keep it on in the car if we are going from one place to another because while it is not difficult to get on, I will say that maybe my above the hip area is small or something because I have to pull the velcro alllll the way over as tight as possible and sometimes it takes a few tries to get it there (and that velcro is some strong stuff!) I absolutely love all the storage, when we are taking short trips I don't even take a diaper bag anymore I just put everything in the carrier pockets! There are a few things that you might reconsider if ever redesigned ... 1. I LOVE the little ring that I am assuming is for hanging baby toys on, but I use it to hang a Purel sanitizer bottle from so it would be awesome if you guys added another ring on the other side of baby! 2. I have an iPhone 6 plus, it does not fit in the top pocket next to baby so I put it in the zipper pocket below that but I have to zipper it or it will fall out and that just makes it much harder to access. 3. As I mentioned earlier, I have to pull the velcro as tight as it goes and actually, the belt still slides down a little as time goes on and I don't notice until my baby is under my armpit. I am not sure if there is something I am doing wrong or if there is a fix for this either. TushBaby - I cannot thank you enough for making it possible for me to keep my baby by my side as she continues to grow for now ... if you ever have a day where you wonder "is it worth it" I want you to come back to this review because this is your 1 million times YES!

LOVE!!

My now two year old is getting heavy, and while independent, likes to be held from time to time. As he has gotten bigger, other carriers were too constricting and time consuming to put on, plus he hated them, so I often toted him around on my hip. Tush baby is a HUGE help in that it takes the weight off my hips but still allows me to carry him when he wants. Biggest win: I clipped it on the stroller when we went to disneyland - so in the moments in line when I didn't have the stroller, he was able to rest and I didn't use all my energy. Amazing product, would recommend to anyone who regularly carries their baby on their hip!

I’m giving this to my son and his wife. It looks awesome and I will probably buy another for me for when I babysit!! Have carried too many children with my hip sticking out to know I don’t and can’t carry them anymore without something like this!

Game Changer

We've had this for about 2 months and use it nearly every day. It's so much easier than a huge, bulky stroller and much more comfortable than a carrier now that my baby weighs over 20 lbs. I also love all the pockets; I use this more than my purse and/or diaper bag at this point (and manage to fit a diaper/wipes/thin changing mat, burp rag, a small toy, keys, phone, and wallet comfortably inside - holy cow haha!) Every time I've taken it out in public (literally - every. single. time.), I've had at least one person marvel at how cool it is or ask questions about it. This is HANDS DOWN the best baby item we've purchased, and we've already decided it will be our go-to for all future baby shower gifts. (We've already gifted one.) Seriously, just buy it!! (Side note, I am 5' 3" tall and just under 100 lb, and it doesn't go as small as I would like it to. Once it's wrapped around me, there's a good chunk of the belt left over that has no where to go. I have to fold this excess chunk either over or under in order for it fit and be able to snap the clasp. It works, but I'm nervous the rough side of the Velcro may eventually cause some damage in this area on the inner mesh part. Still, once folded, it fits more or less like it should and is small potatoes compared to how much easier this makes my life!)

The most genius baby/kid carrier ever!!! Love it!

I bought this amazing gift for both my sister and a good friend of mine and they both are obsessed with TushBaby! My sister has a 6 month old daughter and loves using this on-the-go and even when she’s hiking around there property to hold my niece and loves that she’s able to keep her back straight and not have to kick her hip out to hold her! The pockets to keep a diaper change set and cell phone/keys etc. is key too! My friend who I gave it to has been using it on her 4 year old as well and says it makes it so easy to pick her up when she wants to be held and that her parents have been using it when they babysit and absolutely love it! You can’t go wrong getting this for yourself or for a gift for a friend! It’s the perfect companion to have to save your back and give your lil ones a perfect seat to be held and snuggled! It’s my new go-to gift of choice for friends having a new baby!

saves your back!

Love using this with my 6 mos. old grandson when he's cranky and just wants to be held. Really saves your back and arms and I can easily shift it from one hip to the other. Velcro it tight around your waist so the seat sits level with your hip and you're good to go!

Super comfy and convenient

I first heard of this product through its crowdsourcing campaign a couple years back and as my baby got older (and heavier), I remembered this product and was so excited to find it here. I wasn't sure if I should spend the money to buy it without trying it first, but I'm really glad that I did. It's super comfy to wear and my baby sits really easily on it and most importantly, she's much easier to hold! She likes sitting on it a lot. I love that there's various pockets and storage. There's one pocket that doesn't have a zipper which is very convenient for my phone since I take it out often. I highly recommend it!

Worth it!

I honestly can't say enough good things about this product. I get questioned about this wherever I go from other mothers wanting one. It really helps me especially when I know I will be in a situation where I might not have my daughter all the time. Very easy to hand her to a friend or family member then put her right back on my hip. If I am going to be carrying her for a long time then I switch to her ergobaby. But honestly I use the Tush baby the most. I carrier a few diapers, some wipes in a Ziploc and a folded up large hospital pad in the main compartment. A bottle and bib/burp cloth in the netted area and my wallet, phone and keys in the small zipper compartment. I keep a change of clothes in the car and I am set.

SO SO SO GOOD. Well made unlike the imitations. Very Comfortable.

I bought one for myself and my sister. For me it eases the pain on my shoulder and wrist to hold my almost 30lb kid! She loves to be held and comforted and this is the only way I can do it after a rotator cuff surgery last year. A month ago, I bought the cheaper brand imitation and returned it!! Don't be fooled by the price. You get what you pay for. It was uncomfortable with a heavy foam insert and I kept readjusting which completely negates the purpose. Needless to say, I'm in love with my Tushbaby. My mom uses it too when helping out.
