You can't go wrong! it is small enough to fit in my hand, and with the textured grip, I can adjust the focus on the fly without moving off target at all. One other thing that is very nice about the molded finger holds, you always know how it fits in your hand, That is very handy in low light situations. It has a little pouch that you can toss it in your go bag!

Sure, binoculars give more depth of field but they are bulky and not so quick to the eye as a monocular. I live in a rural area and we have many wildlife visitors. It is so much easier to bring a scope to the eye with one hand. If you are already looking in the right direction it is sort of like pointing your finger at it. As to quality if it says Roxant it is well made. The image is sharp and clear and can be adjusted if need be but once focused it will be ready for the next use.

The Viper Monocular has a good feel to it. It appears sturdy enough to withstand some unintentional abuse if need be. It is comfortable to hold and the fingers do not slip on it. Looking down the scope seems clear enough and can be adjusted to your sight. It will serve well in the deer stand and also at home for birdwatching. It is a nice size to be comfortable to slip in your pocket or to carry in your hunting bag. The price is reasonable for the product and time will tell how it will hold up with more use.

A rugged device, yet lightweight & comfortable to hold. It fits perfectly in one hand while being able to adjust it with the other. It may not be the best fit for larger hands, but I can't judge because my hands are what I consider average size. The grip is soft & comfortable and it's light enough to carry while biking, walking or jogging, and small enough to fit in most any pocket. It seems perfect for any type of outdoor activity.

I love the size of this scope. I have a smaller one as well. This one is slightly larger, so the performance is better. And it still has the added convenience of size, shape, and weight as the more compact version. The grip was phenomenal, which is important to me because I tend to drop things quite often :) . I used this to watch birds and other wildlife while hiking. The focus was great for at least 100 yards. My husband took it hunting with him, and it came in handy for deer spotting. He did have some issues with getting it to focus through the hardwoods, but we're pretty sure it was due to the thicket he was posted up in. Regardless, the price is outstanding, and I'm thrilled to have it for our many outdoor adventures.

I already own a couple of the Roxant scopes but this one has quickly become my favorite. It looks really sexy with the textured grip and finger-molded shape, it feels solidly built and fits in the hand well which definitely helps with stability when using the scope. The size is in the "just right" range. Slightly bigger than the mini-monocular but smaller than the grip scope it's easy to fit in a jacket pocket or small bag. The size, along with the excellent optical quality that characterizes all of the Roxant scopes I have used, is one of it's primary strengths. While I primarily use the scope for observing the wildlife around my house I am continually finding new uses for it as I tend to keep it with me where I would have probably left a larger scope at home. Most recently I found it extremely useful in identifying and determining the extent of damage to the roof of a property I was considering purchasing. I've yet to test the durability of th scope under more rugged "field" conditions but at a price of just over $20 it's not a huge investment.

My first use was to inspect some chimney work I was having done without going up on a ladder, that was an over kill but worked just fine. Next was to check out a new home construction down the block and it worked well. I then decided to check out some birds in the neighborhood the focus ring brought in the clarity I needed. I normally wear glasses and found it more difficult to use with them but still worked well without glasses. Because of its size I will be more prone to bring this with me while camping verses large bulky binoculars.

I received my Viper scope today and I was quite surprised at the quality and clarity of this awesome little scope. My fun was short lived as my wife took it away to watch her birds and squirrels at their feeders. One of my decisions to buy this scope was the name Roxant behind it, one of the best customer service teams I have ever encountered, I know when I buy from them I am in good safe hands with all of the products they carry. Example: Mini strobe light, has been on 24/7 for almost 2 years and going strong.

Frankly, I really like the Viper! The optics are crystal clear, magnification is perfect. The tactile qualities are on spot. I have been using the Viper to spot hard to find addresses in low light conditions in rural areas (I am a paratransit operator) and must daily locate clients in predawn hours off of back roads with little to no lighting, non-existent or badly faded street signs, house numbers written in half inch high font, etc. The compactness of the Viper makes it much more accessible than a small pair of binoculars, and the optics provide clarity even in near total darkness.

I love this monocular. Easy to hold, light weight and small enough to tuck int a pocket. I have a larger scope and a smaller one, and this size is just right. The textured gip with finger groves makes it easy to hold and adjust. The magnification is great. My son tried it out at night, and he was surprised that he could focus on the night stars and get a clearer view. I looked through the lens out my back door and could see clearly through my yard... my rear neighbor's yard ...and into the window of the house across the street from them! Ha, I'm no peeping Tom, and the curtains were closed lol, but I'm sure this scope would be great for surveillance. I'm using it for bird watching so far, but I can't wait to take it to my next concert so I can get a close up view of the performers.
