Order a backup! You will never want to live without
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these! My husband and I both have long thick hair that sheds soooo much! Before this I had to pull hair from our drain every time someone showered. It was a huge pain and a nightmare trying to bath dogs (they have too much fur too). This is a miracle worker! All of the hairs are caught in the trap between the mouth and the drain and held there to allow water to pass through. I am no longer required to clean the shower every shower. However, if you do allow too much hair to build up it can cause water flow issues. The best most unexpected thing was that it is GREAT for the dog hair. I will never bathe them again without one. We love this so much we are now on #5. My sister's puppy LOVES to eat these so we replace them often (can't comment on longevity). When the puppy eats it again, I'll buy another.

Effortless and functionally perfect
Buy this product and save time looking. It will not rust. It is a fast and effortless fix for preventing clogs as well as preventing items from falling into he drain. Just plug into the sink and remove once a week for easy cleaning. It is not a plug for filling the sink with water. I'm so happy with this easy cleaning product and it's five second installation.

The chrome version looks much better than the white rubber version
Have these in most sinks in our house. The chrome version looks much better than the white rubber version. Very happy. Thanks.

Very happy with this so far
Very happy with this so far. You can't plug the drain up with it, but we rarely need to do that anyway. It can slow drainage down a little, but it is worth the wait in order to not have to snake the drain every few months for all of the hairy nastiness that comes from that project.

One of the best product concepts in last 10 years.
If I could give the sink and tub shroom another star I would. I HATE calling a plumber for clogs. Now I have been clog free for 2 years with very long hair due to these wonders. They are simple to use and work perfectly. I also HATE cleaning out the gooey mess, so I have two. After a few showers, you turn the one that is in upside down and put the other in. Go to work. When you come back the one that have been collecting hair is dried out, with the goo dehydrated.. Now it is SOOOO easy to pull the hair ring off the column, not gooey at all, and throw in trash. They are products that give me that satisfied sense of problem solved every time I use them.

So Glad I Found This
We have an antique pedestal sink. It had to be custom installed. One of our small children broke the stopper. It is not easy to get access for replacement and rather than do all that hard work and risk another kid breaking it we bought one of those mesh stoppers. I had to clean it several times a day. It looks disgusting and cheap. I was SO HAPPY when i found this. I works great. It does catch a good bit and I empty it once a week or so. It looks so much better than the mesh wire one.

The chrome version is beautiful and classy
It fits perfectly my bathroom sink and it looks good. It goes unnoticed as a hair catcher and it’s easy to clean. It gets every single hair and anything else that falls there. Excellent product. I have also the tub version and after every shower I clean it up and I’ve never had my bathtub drain running slow again after few weeks of installation. I’ll be buying more for gifts!

Awesome for the sink and apparently a great cat toy!
My house is ancient and the sink stopper in my similarly ancient bathroom sink probably belonged in a museum. When it broke, I lived in fear of not being able to find a replacement (museum pieces aren’t cheap, you know!) and in more fear of something falling down the sink. Who knows where the pipes in an ancient house lead? I read Stephen King’s “IT” so I want nothing more to do with pipes in this old, old house (PBS could do a series on this kind of old house—a whole other level from a regular old house, let me assure you!). I was ridiculously happy to find this and thought those scary pipe dreams were banished until my beloved but sometimes overly inventive rescued cats discovered a new use for this sink saver: a cat toy! They freaking love it. If I didn’t see them playing with it all the time all over the house meaning everywhere but in the sink, I’d think the pipes were indeed more sinister than even I thought before but no, it’s the cats. They have other toys they love but this one is a clear favorite. I doubt it’s been tested for safety as a cat toy but so far, none of my rescued cats has been harmed by it! Now if I could figure out how to keep one of these in the sink and out of the cats’ paws!

CLEAN YOUR DRAINS FIRST
I can't believe how many reviews here have the opinion of how this is gross and moldy and dirty.... CLEAN YOUR DRAINS FIRST. Buy a bottlebrush and scrub them. (you can get a bottlebrush for $1 at dollar tree) They are BLACK and DIRTY. Of course they are dirty, you spit bacteria in them when you brush your teeth, more bacteria when you wash your hands....hard water and mineral build up, conditioners, soaps, toothpastes, shaving creams....…….Don't expect to put this in a dirty drain and expect it to come out pristine with a few hairs on it. It works great but you need a little common sense and a tiny bit of effort. If you have too much iron in your water (city or well water) your shrooms may turn a pink color. This is caused by a bacteria feeding on the iron from the water. If your shrooms turn black, other than all the products you use that go down the drain, there is manganese in the water. EVERYONE has this, city water or well water, a water softener and filters will help with this. Take a cloth and rub the faucet (aerator) You will see the manganese (black). Look at your shower head too..... If our shroom turns an orange color, it is from the rust (most likely if you have well water) Do NOT complain to the rest of the country for this!! Your house is orange, toilets, showers...and your clothes are tinted orange too!! If you don't want to be your own water company, then MOVE I do think that the reason your drains and the shrooms turn black is mostly from toothpaste, or the calcium in it. If you are brushing your teeth, make sure you rinse the shroom and sink REALLY GOOD or just remove it for tooth brushing.
