At 60, I began canning to stock a small on site, farm store (Magical Mule Mercantile) that I operate on our farm, (AWESOME ASS ACRES), here in East Tennessee! That was two years ago! I bought my first 20 quart commercial quality canning pot then...a week ago, I bought my second! The quality is unmatched and the size is perfect for large canning projects! No sticking, scorching...the heat is evenly distributed, making my job SOOOO much easier! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE these pots! If my stove top was larger, I’d buy another!! Thank you!

I purchased this 20 qt. stock pot to use for my summer canning projects and it has been beyond what I expected. The most important thing is the food does not stick or burn to it. I do big batches of soup and was having a terrible time with my old pot with everything burning to the bottom not with this pot. I made two batches of tomato soup this weekend and not one thing stuck. This is definitely worth the money. I highly recomend it.

This pot. I don't even know what to say. It does EVERYTHING. If you have a large family (or just teenage sons with large appetites) this will make batches of soup or rice big enough for a small army- without the bottom burning. Well, at least if you keep an eye on it, of course. This pot will also allow you to double stack pint jars for canning, will allow for 5-6 half gallon jars, and I think I got 8 liters into it? Keep in mind one thing: If you are older or on the small side this pot is HEAVY. It's also a bit unwieldy if you need to drain it when it's full of very hot water (depending on your kitchen setup). That being said that heaviness keep my large batches of soup from scorching before I used my second pot (I ended up buying two!) to can those batches. From soups, to stocks, to grains, to canning, I have not found one better at it's pricepoint. As I said in my review of the the Cooks Standard saucepan this is made in China. Again- I can't in my life justify paying a couple hundred dollars for a kitchen pot or pan, so this is a good second choice.

We purchased this stockpot to use to make our very first batch of old fashioned, homemade from scratch root beer. This stockpot worked just fine. It was plenty big for each of our 3 gallons batches, probably could have handled at least 5 or 6 gallons without any trouble. This stockpot is very well made and should last far beyond my life time. It is good value for the money.

I was very surprised when I opened the box. This is a beautifully made soup pot. I have been making big batches of vegetable soup for years. The pot I was using was very old, thin metal and scorched the food on the bottom. This pot is very sturdy, not too tall. It is very large, 20 quarts, and will make lots of soup. I have not used it yet but look forward to my next pot of soup.

I do a lot of cooking and need a pot that not only allows for large batches of food to be cooked, but offers the quality of even cooking, non sticking, durability along with ease of cleaning. This is the pot I've been searching for and so glad I purchased it...Excellent choice!

This review is for the 20 quart pot. The pot itself is very nice. The sellers ability to provide decent information about it's dimensions is really lacking. I see the following in the item description: "Product Dimensions 18 x 13 x 12 inches": This appears to be about right with the lid on and including the handles to get a width of 18, a depth of 13 and height of 12. This would be the space required to store the pot and lid. measures: 12.5 in. Diameter, 10.25 in. Depth. This appears to be the outer dimension, not including the handles. I'm not sure it's quite accurate. My measurement, which I included the picture of, is about 9.5" inner height an about 13" diameter. I have a 1 qt canning jar in the picture, so you can see that the boiling water will just cover it. There is room for 4 quart size jars, although they are pretty close. I have only boiled water in it so far, but it heats up nicely. It appears to be well built and should hold up. I hope the pictures with dimensions help someone who is wondering.

I bought this for canning and I'm very satisfied. It's perfect and great quality. It's a beautiful pot.

I make a ton of soups, stews and chili's and burning has always been an issue. I went through many progressively better and better soup pots until I finally wound up with this one. I usually set a 30 min timer while heating on low and would go stir it that every 30 mins. Stuff would still sometimes burn on the six lesser pots I had at the lowest heat that I could set. This one I pushed to the limits a bit... kept on high for almost 30 min just as a test.. (10,000 BTU gas) not even the beginning symptoms of burning.. you know.. that layer that you can feel that starts to stick that signifies an impending burn to the bottom. Even that initial stick to the bottom never happened. (didn't leave it on high though, and certainly not unattended) I just got this pot and only used it twice.. but I'm enjoying experimenting to see how much further higher I'm able to leave this bad boy unattended that I was never able to achieve before. 30 quarts is perfect, letting me make giant 5-6 gallon batches and still have comfortable room to spare for stirring and what have you. Smooth interior finish with no rivets.. nice! And the lid fits like a piece of lab equipment. And if in doubt about it truly having a .75 in thick bottom, hefting it will sort that right out.

After burning too many large batches of soups, stews, and chilis, I decided it was time for a better pot. I do a lot of home canning, so I make BIG batches of things. My other large pot was fine for very liquid-y things like broths, but I often had burned parts on the bottom when I made anything more substantial. After reading several reviews I decided to purchase this pot. I am so glad I did! The heat is so evenly distributed over the bottom surface, that I have not had ANY problems with burning - I even forgot that I had a pot of chili over a low flame and left it on the stove for 3 hours! I thought for sure it would have burned, but nope! This pan is also super easy to clean, and I love how sturdy the handles are. I'm considering replacing my other large pot with another one of these - it's really that much better! Buy with confidence!
