Simple to use and works great!

Very simple to use out of the box. Great that the remote came with batteries. Programming was very simple and so far the remote has worked wonderfully. Definitely a worthwhile purchase if you need an extra remote for your Roku.

Could not ask for a more perfect remote!

**Be sure to read the word of warning below this review if you don't have the original remotes for TV/Soundbar** We have a Roku Ultra, which our rabbit at the remote, and were getting sick of using apps on our phones to control it. We also have a vizio TV the remote was hooked up to, and a vizio soundbar. As such, we were needing to use 3 different remotes (well, 2 and a phone) to control everything. We decided we'd had enough, and gave this a try. WOW! It was incredibly easy to set up. Within 20 minutes of opening it, it was controlling our Roku, TV, and Soundbar. I was able to put the other 2 remotes away for safe keeping. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND if you want to consolidate remotes and not spend hours searching "codes" on a traditional universal remote. A word of warning: We had the original remotes for the TV and Soundbar, which seem like they are necessary to program the IR blaster on this one. I did not find any instructions for programming them without the originals, so if you are MISSING your original remotes, or they are broken, you may want to do additional research or request further information from the manufacturer prior to purchasing this remote.

It just works.

I have had this remote for about two weeks. While I have it a 5 star rating it was not without problems. I returned the first one as it seemed to have a stuck Prime button. Also I think you have to wait a minute or two before you try to program it. I reset the batteries twice. So why a five ster rating. Because, it just works, and works well! It has memorized all buttons I wanted, both TV and sound system.

Total game changer for old geezers!

My husband is not tech savvy at all. I'm switching our TVs from Comcast boxes to Roku devices, but that means using two remotes. Whoa is me! Utter chaos! LOL Poor guy. I do adore him. So the solution? GET THIS REMOTE! The easiest programming for a universal remote E-V-E-R! Point and click. Boom. Done. Once he adjusts to the bedroom TV with this remote, I'll be getting one for each of the three additional TVs we have. Thank you so, so , so much for this device! ** One suggestion would be to backlight the buttons somehow for nighttime TV watching.

Combined 3 remotes onto 1!

I am very pleased with this remote. It is standard plastic feel as any remote. It was very easy to pair with other remotes and transfer the functions over. I was able to cut down on 3 remotes down to just this 1. The volume and mute functions work great for our separate older sound bar. The other buttons were able to be programmed for our 2019 LG television. The rest of the remote works for our Roku device which is replacing a remote the dog has gotten a hold of. Very easy to pair current remotes. Works from a great distance. I have tried the max distance in my house of around 35 feet and all the controls worked great still. Very happy with performance.

The perfect Roku Remote

I bought 2 of these for my Roku setup in my living room. The programmable buttons on this remote make it a perfect remote for any "cable cutter". With 2 programmable power buttons, I have assigned one to turn on my TV, and the other to turn on my audio receiver. It's a beautiful thing! I'm planning on buying 2 more of these remotes for my bedroom TV's.

Great product This was an amazing find. I hated that the Roku remote couldn't control the volume or turn on/off the TV. This item allows one to add control features from different remotes. I made the power, button turn on/off the TV; the plus/minus buttons control the TV volume. Great! Now I can use one control. The instructions were very brief and didn't explain the process well. You have to face the infra red of the remote you wish to minic to the infra red of this device, and push the button on the device you wish to mimic. The way this clips to the Roku is very secure. High quality! Recommend.

good choice

Trimming down from two+ remotes to one is great, especially if you, like me, watch in a dimly lit room and need to either have a remote that's backlit or simple to tell by feel. The SofaBaton Remote Replacement for Roku Streaming Player comes with several adaptors so it can attach to every Roku model that I'm aware of. There's a simple key to figure out which is which, so you don't have to think about it, and everything clicks into place.The remote is a programmable remote, so once it's in Program mode, you face it to the remote you want to "replace" and press the key you want to program and the key that does what you want it to learn. Great value-added replacement for Roku!

This is the second replacement roku remote I bought. Yes I lost two remote already lol. Last one I bought was a cheap replication it worked fine but then after I lost it and was ready to buy a second one I saw this R2 remote. It says compatible with roku ultra and can learn 13 more buttons from my tv and sound bar. Perfect for me I thought because I always think having to use 3 remotes just to watch my favorite show is a pain in the ass. So I gave it a go with this one. Turns out it works wonderfully!! With very nice grip, neither too small nor too big to hold and very satisfying signal range. Also very easy setting up considering I know nearly nothing about these remotes, I just followed the user manual included and two minutes later, it was all set! I am able to control my tv on/off, mute, volume up/down, sound bar on/off, vol up/down etc. Very happy with this purchase!

Perfect and Simple

I can now control our Roku with a remote that looks just like the original but has extra buttons to also control our stereo and TV. This remote is perfect for our needs. There's no need to change the mode on the remote; you can simply program the buttons you need from other devices into it. We have volume control for the stereo and power and menu options for the TV, which is all we ever really need. The price seems a little steep for what it is but, nonetheless, we're very happy with the remote.
