My family is trying to eat more grass-fed meat and less commercially raised animal products. It's very expensive for a family of four. This product allows me to buy cheaper cuts like stew meat and cheap roasts but still serve very tender meat. I figure it will pay for itself in a few months since I save about $3 a pound on the cheaper meats. Hard-boiled eggs are amazing they peel right open and they're always done perfect. I love that you can sear in this pot and then add your liquid for cooking. The safety features work very well. The quick guide allows you to make a meal right out of the box. We have loved everything we have made. We use this a couple times a day. It heats leftovers very well without drying them out. I put them in a glass dish that is oven safe and cover it with tin foil, set it on the egg stand add water to the bottom of the pot. Then run it for 10 minutes. My 20 year old son now prefers roast, chicken or lamb and potatoes over breaded chicken tenders and frozen fries. We're eating much healthier with less chemicals but enjoying the food so much more.

After doing a thorough online research on pressure cookers, I stumbled across the Yedi pressure cooker and could not be any happier and satisfied with my purchase. I am so pleased with the safety measures it possesses and the state-of-the-art computer processors. In addition, the delicious recipes we have made at home are endless! Some notes--preheating takes anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes and recipes take an additional 10 to 45 minutes. It has been exciting to learn, become comfortable and understand the beauty of this pressure cooker.

Love this product & brand. I have purchased many kitchen items from Yedi over the years (tea, coffee, plates, etc) and love them all. The Pressure Cooker is their best yet. Super high quality technology, reliable safety mechanisms, etc. Love that its different functions allow me to cook all kinds of items and recipes super easily.

My parents weren’t the type to help me around the kitchen. I never learned to cook growing up but developed a desire to start making more meals at home for the sake of staying healthy. A co worker of mine bought a pressure cooker a few months ago and didn’t stop raving about it for weeks. She’s been cooking meals for a family of 6 using her pressure cooker and still brings delicious leftovers to work. I searched for options and fell in love with the Yedi copper cooker for its functionality and color. I also trust the Yedi brand having purchased one of their air fryers a few months back. The recipe book included gave me a very easy starting point on simple yet delicious meals I could cook with this. I’ve used my pressure cooker three times in three nights having made green beans, brisket, rice, and chili. Each meal came out to be delicious. Not bad progress for a woman that just a week ago could barely cook an egg. I can’t wait to keep furthering my cooking skills!!

Day 1 review, works great, just got done making a beef veggie soup 25 minutes cook time. Came out great, originally I was going to get a different one but I am glad I got this one the stainless steel works great the smooth surface was super easy to clean. Even after the small bits of sauté burn. This would be godly if it came with steaming bowls.

Instant Pot and Yedi are made by the same manufacturer and have some components in common. The primary differences between the two is that the Instant Pot lid does not need to be put on the counter when open and it has a cook book enclosed. They both work really well. The 6 quart size will easily do a meal for 8 in short order. Our son and daughter in law have the Instant Pot 6 quart and we have the Yedi 6 quart. We also have the Instant Pot 8 quart. At the time of our Yedi purchase before Christmas, it was $15 less than Instant Pot and we didn't need the cook book. The current prices of each has now reversed-go figure. Both are great cookers, so I would make the choice by best value. Note, we found that the 8-quart pressure cooker did not cook quite as well as the 6-quart. The difference was the amount of water needed to get the pressure up. Don't ask me why, but that was what we read and also what we experienced. Unless cooking for a crowd, the 6 quart is very adequate.

I use my Yedi Pressure Cooker everyday. I found some great recipes online for Pressure Cookers and have made a different meal for the past 5 days! This is a high quality product and I recommend it.

Look, I'm just a basic guy. When I cook something, it has to be fairly simple but I also want it to taste good. Usually it doesn't. While I like to eat "gourmet," I don't have near the patience or interest to cook that way. I have made up a recipe I call a "beef stew chili." I throw in some bell peppers, onion, jalapeno, cayenne pepper, etc. - you get the idea - and then throw in a couple of pounds of beef stew meat. Usually this recipe comes out with rubbery meat, even it I cook it in a slow cooker. I've tried braising this and sauteing that, but it still comes out rubbery. When I made this recipe in the Yedi, the meat came out amazingly tender - a first for me - and I didn't have to do anything fancy to get it that way. Plus the whole thing tasted great. Another first. I have since tried a couple of other recipes and they came out surprisingly good. Honestly, I can't believe I made them. So, if you are a basic guy like me, you will really appreciate this product. Not a lot of preparation, fast cook time, and not much to clean up. I bought this particular unit on the strength of the customer reviews and find I agree with the 9 out of 10 customers who rate this product 5 stars. But I did note at the time I made the purchase that it didn't have much in the way of accessories. Now that I've found I truly like this cooker and seem to be using it all the time, I wrote off to the company asking if the various accessories made for the 6 quart Instant Pot would also work with my Yedi. The interesting and impressive thing was that I wrote my inquiry on a Sunday late afternoon and got a reply within an hour from Bobby Djavaheri, Vice-President, Yedi Houseware. This, my friends, is customer service when you have a C-level officer responding to a run of the mill user questions on a Sunday no less. Actually, I was a little shocked. (But happy since he told me that all of the Instant Pot 6 qt. accessories would, in fact, work on the Yedi, so actually we have plenty of accessories to choose from.) In summary, it appears to me that the product is of high quality and works well. And it appears that the company is responsive and very well managed. The bottom line is that I think I made a good decision in selecting the Yedi for purchase. And as long as my rudimentary recipes keep coming out like they have so far, I will be a happy little camper.

I love cooking, and I love cutting down on kitchen prep and work-time. After about 6 months using my Yedi pressure cooker, I would pay twice the amount that I did originally. Unbelievable how this device has changed meals for us! Excellent quality, excellent results, excellent manual for use. I will recommend this product to anyone interested in pressure cookers (beginners as well as seasoned professionals. LOVE!

Love it. It will not replace my rice cooker....I don't think. But I absolutely love it. A note to the wise, however. What you gain with an electric pressure cooker is a safe way to cook quickly--sort of. It takes a long time to pressurize and a long time to de-pressurize a pressure cooker. So when you see a recipe that says it cooks in 20 minutes, the total time will really be much longer than that--like maybe 40 or 45 minutes instead of 20 minutes. But this is unattended time. Just be sure you plan your meals to take the extra time into account, because the recipe typically will not show it. That throws off some new pressure cooks. The other thing is that you can pre-heat the pot to lessen the pressuring time. To do this you add your liquid first and set the pot, with the lid off, to saute. Then when you add your dry ingredients and put the lid on, you have less pressurization time than you would with a cold start. Depending on the dish, it decreases time from 10 to maybe 15 minutes.
