Plug and Play
Plug and Play, works perfectly and is quite fast. One minor issue, the button to open the enclosure is very sensitive and opens with very little pressure, if you are carrying this in a bag it will likely open up by itself. Tape can be used to prevent this from happening.

reliable and fast!
I've used a couple of NVME enclosures before this one, and they were pretty bad. This enclosure tops them for sure! It's reliable and provides fast speeds. I've been using it for several months now and did not run into any major issues. It's disconnected randomly a couple times, but it might be my laptop's fault. It does get somewhat hot after using it extensively, so make sure to use a reliable and a low heat generating SSD with it!

Out of the box solution.
I picked this up after having upgraded the SSD in a laptop. Less to use as a permanent external housing, but because I'd run into an issue with data migration from the old drive to the new (along with operational problems like super-heating and blue screens). That was compounded by problems in getting my files off the backup drive after having, ultimately, to do a clean W10 installation. So I ordered this little dude, popped the original SSD in, hooked it up, transferred the files and boom - done (literally about five minutes). I also did a clean backup of the whole system onto a new backup drive. Given that this solved a rather disturbing problem, the price was somewhat inconsequential; and to be honest I wanted one of these anyway. As I said I won't need it as a permanent external housing at this time, but it's a valuable addition to the tools and equipment I keep to maintain and service our various computers.

Successfully cloned a MacBook Pro's internal SSD using this enclosure
Great build quality. Quite a bit bigger than an NVME SSD but that's expected I guess--the surface area is needed to dissipate heat. Swapping a drive in or out takes seconds. I used this to clone a MacBook Pro's internal SSD to a Samsung 970 EVO NVME SSD in preparation for an upgrade. The copy ran flawlessly. I actually had to run it twice due to an incorrect setting the first time and it worked perfectly both times. The device will get pretty hot from the sustained writes but I didn't experience any errors or anything of the sort.

Excellent Product; astounding support
Perfect hardware. BUY IT. As I wrote to Pat at Pluggable, "Thanks for the quick response! Your extremely clear and concise instructions put me in business in minutes. Installing the Asmedia driver has the c port working fine, at speed. You have a fine product. No tools! Less than 5 minutes to install ssd and plug in. Incredible, not to forget the quality material and excellent tolerances!"

High Performance, Low Price
When I saw this in the tech news today, I couldn't quite believe that it was really an NVMe enclosure; it's priced like an SSD enclosure. Comparable enclosures from other vendors are currently priced at several hundred dollars - for just the enclosure. I'm pleased to report that this really is an NVMe enclosure, and it's fast. Not as fast as the internal drives in my Dell Precision 7720 connected directly to the PCIe bus, but still fast enough for video editing. Testing this evening using OEM Samsung PM961 1TB drives in both the enclosure and inside the laptop, I saw about 580MB/s writes to and 800MB/s reads from the external drive. I saw marginally better performance using a Samsung 950 Pro 512GB drive in the enclosure - about 600MB/s and about 810MB/s, respectively. The enclosure could - and probably should - be faster, but the Dell Precision laptops are notorious for slow NVMe transfers, so I'm certain that's a factor, and at this price point, I'm not gonna complain. I just got this about an hour ago, so I can't speak yet to the lifespan of the enclosure - but it's a fairly solid feeling unit. I have high hopes, and so far, I highly recommend.

Great build quality, PLEASE MAKE MORE!
The screenshots speak for themselves. I used this with a Thunderbolt 3 port on a Dell XPS13 (2019), but I would expect the same results with anyone using USB-C / USB3 Gen2. If you don't know 100% sure what all that means, then do your homework to make sure you have a machine that supports these standards. Otherwise, you might not get the transfer speeds you expect. The build quality of this enclosure is superior. I happened to find this from a tech news article and scooped it up. It looks like no one has these in stock, which is a bummer. I have had a good handful of M.2 enclosures that were pure crap. It's hard to spot the good ones, so hopefully (A) this review helps others to highlight a good one, and (B) the manufacturer makes more. The NVMe used is a Samsung 970 EVO 500GB. Definitely one of my favorite SSDs. The Samsung EVO line of SSDs has been super reliable for me for the past 4 years. I have installed one in over 150 laptops and not a single one of them has failed.

Just what I want.
The great thing about this is how easy it is to put the NVMe PCIe SSD in. Make sure to read the instructions. Their website that the instructions point to don't have a video as the instructions say they do. At least I could Never find it from the link they offer. But that doesn't matter. It was very easy to install the drive in just seconds. No screws is the best part! Make sure to put the head sink tape on the drive before installing. It does get warm. And the drive I got is highly rated for using less power. Make sure to use the rubber bumper that keeps the drive in place, and store the extras for future use. With my MacBook Pro it's getting 960 MBps throughput. This is the fastest USB 3 external drive I have. Only my Thunderbolt 3 drives are faster.

works perfectly Samsung PM951
I pulled a PM951 NVMe drive from a laptop and using this enclosure works perfectly. The 2 cables provided are very helpful. The quick release latch and the installation were absolutely terrific. It gets hot but that's about it for drawbacks.

Finally a compatible enclosure!
This worked FLAWLESSLY!!!! It fit and worked right out of the box with my Samsung 950 PRO Series - 512GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V5P512BW) that I had bought on Amazon. I searched high and low trying to find a USB enclosure for my spare SSD after I changed out to a bigger size on my Dell XPS 13. Until now, I was unable to find a USB enclosure that fit a M.2 NVMe SSD with the "M" key. Every other USB enclosure I found either fit the "B" key or "B+M" key. To be clear, this enclosure DOES fit the "M" key. The enclosure feels solid and has an aluminum body. It has a USB-C connector on the enclosure and the box included both a USB-A to USB-C connector and a USB-C to USB-C connector. Very happy with this product so far! Why did it take so long for me to find this!?!?
