A good quality filament at a great price!
I decided to try out the 3D Hero brand of filaments on amazon here as they are fairly inexpensive. At the time of ordering there were next to no reviews so I was nervous. I am pleased to say the quality is on par with other brands such as Hatchbox or Amazon's Basics and at a cheaper price. I am still relatively new to being a maker and have only been printing a few months know but I have used 4 spools of their filament and have had zero issues with anything filament related. I also do like that the spool is more open on the sides allowing me to get a better feel for how much filament is left. All in all I find myself re-ordering the 3D Hero brand on a more regular basis. I just wish they had a few more color options. I primarily print off table top scenery terrain and small odds and ends for personal use.

Quality gold PLA and a very good price
Full disclosure, I was offered reimbursement of the cost of a roll of 3d Hero Filament in return for a review though there were no limits/requirements put on me for the review and I would not do it if there were. These are my own honest observations and opinions. The pictured prints used 3d Hero Gold PLA ($18.99/kg) and have had no post processing and were done on an Ender 3 with a .4mm nozzle, .2 mm layer height, 60c bed temp, printing temps from 200c to 220c and print speeds from 60-70mm/s. Printing was smooth and without issues. The initial layer went on smooth with no adhesion issues. I varied the printing temperature on the vase from 200 to 220 and back to 200 during the print and saw no noticeable difference in appearance. Printing the dragons with some filaments leads to stringing between the wings and legs but with this filament at 200-205c I just had some very fine wispy strings that were remove easily (they are still there in the pictures). You can see some lines in the dragons that happened when I changed the print temperatures but other that that they printed smoothly. The only issue I see with the prints I believe are related to print speed and I see these with any filament I use so do not think it has anything to do with this particular product (these issues are most apparent on the larger of the two dragons). Color wise I would say the color looks to me like a golden brown mustard color. It is a good looking gold color though generally I prefer a glossy gold but it really depends on what I am printing. Overall I would say this is a very good quality filament and would highly recommend it.

High Quality Product!
This was the first filament I've used that had a quality control certificate (tag) inside the bag and I have to say I was impressed! I used the whole spool to print letters and images for a sign I'm making. The filament did not break, clog or cause any issues. I think I have a new favorite filament brand! I will definitely buy this filament again in a variety of colors. You should too, you won't be disappointed!

Grey PLA
3D Hero filaments the accuracy was within the advertised and vacuum with desiccant. I noticed that there was a tangle in the spool. I unwound few winds and then rewound the filament on spool . After that loaded and had no problems after that. I really like how the have viewing window so you can see what color it is buy quite a few. I do like the vacuum bag is thicker as long shipping trips to me sometimes on thinner ones can be ripped. I been looking for a grey and this was the right color nice and light. I tested on my CR10/Ender 3/Anycubic MEGA-S Nozzle temp: 215 Bed temp: 60/50 With tangle in the being still have to say for the price it is great value!

Good Filament Good Price
This filament printed very good. I used my normal pla temp of 220 and did have a little stringing. I lowered the temp to 217 and seemed to fix the stringing. Other then that I had no problems event during a 24 hour print. I used 2 different printers a direct drive modified cr-10 and a bowden modified Anet A8 and printed fine on both printers. The color are very nice. And the finish of the plastic was shiny from both printers. Did have some warping but that was due to bad 1st layer on my part. All in all I'd say this is a good filament at a good price.

Pumpkin orange is accurate. Great filament!
This wasn't as dark of an orange as I was expecting, but overall it was good. I printed a Chibi Chocobo. As with the other 3D Hero filaments, the accuracy was within the advertised 0.02mm. I measured near the beginning, and then unwinded the roll a few times and measured again. The diameters measured were 1.74 and 1.75, as you can see in the pics. The vacuum job on this was AMAZING, just like their other rolls. Additionally, they include a pack of desiccant, and an "Inspected by" tab, which seems to indicate there is some decent quality control taking place. That's a nice touch. I do love the box for the filament. It has a viewing window so you can see what color it is without having to open the box. The plastic that is used to seal the roll is also a bit thicker than the rolls of filament I get from other suppliers. That's a good thing. My other filament suppliers tends to get tears in the bag which leads to the vacuum to be lost. This doesn't have that problem. When I first started the print, I thought it was a very light orange. Almost pale. But as the the print continued it came out a bit more orange. There was absolutely no stringing, and I didn't see any under or overextrusion anywhere in the print. The print was made on a MeCreator 2 using S3D. Print settings: Nozzle temp: 205 Bed temp: 60 Layer Height: 0.2mm Speed: 60mm/second Nozzle Size: 0.4mm Bottom layers (thickness): 4 layers (0.8mmm) Top layers thickness): 4 layers (0.8mm) Perimeters (Wall thickness): 2 (0.8mm) Supports: The model already had supports modeled into it. There was a slight sweet smell from the printer while it was printing. This is normal for PLA, as its corn based. I printed the Chocobo on my MeCreator 2 on a print surface. There was absolutely no lifting...but I've never had lifting issues with PLA with or without the print surface.

Great Filament, Better Price
Disclosure: I have written this review as a tester, and I will get filament as a result. I was told to write an honest review, and I will. I really, really like using this filament. I honestly do not have a problem giving this filament 5 stars, because it checks every single box that I look for with my filament; cost, color, packaging quality, and ease of use Cost: This filament is one of the cheapest options on Amazon, right in that $17-$20 range, which is where I buy 90% of my filament. Color: One of the whitest whites I've seen out of filament, nice and crisp. I've gotten through about half of my roll and I haven't encountered any color variation in the slightest. Packaging Quality: The box the filament came in is clean and nice looking. I like that the back shows the printing temp and other information about 3D hero's entire line of products. I will be keeping the box for future reference and just because it looks good. The filament came packaged sealed, with silica gel enclosed, just as you hope for when you get filament. Ease of Use: I have not encountered a single printing issue while I've been using this filament. No clogs, no underextrusion, no excessive stringing, nothing. For a value priced filament what more can you really ask for? Overall: 3D Hero will be my first choice filament for all my value filament from now on. The color is great, I haven't had an issue printing with it, and it comes well packaged. I highly recommend this filament for anyone, beginner to expert.

Great quality at a great price!
I have purchased many many spools of filament in the past year. Some good and some bad. I am always up to try something new. At first glance everything looks great. Sealed in a bag with no air and a package of desiccant to absorb moisture. I opened it up and measure in a few places. The diameter was within .1mm everywhere. It wasn't brittle either. I printed a mask for Halloween and it came out perfect. This filament is awesome. I printed at 195degrees and had no layer separation or problems with bed adhesion. Sanding this is just as another filament is and the final product is perfect. I will definitely buy this again for my next project!

Definitely recommend!
I like trying new filaments and colors for different prints so I tried using this white filament for a few bases for some models I am working on. The results are in and this stuff works great and prints really nice and clean. This filament prints very good at 205 with no issues and next to no post print clean up, my printer is picky and it gave me no trouble at all. The roll is properly wound with no tangle's or defects. I like the sides of the roll being mostly open so you can see exactly how much you have left on the roll. I have almost gone through this roll already with just a couple of bases done so it looks like I will be ordering more right away to finish up my projects.

Surprisingly good filament even after over a month exposed to a humid summer!
I was kinda taken back by this filament. I had a few friends in the community tell me it was good so I took a chance on a whim because I liked some of the color selection plus the prime shipping makes it convenient juxtapose to driving to the local Microcenter and playing the guessing game as to what’s what there. Don’t get me wrong I still like Inland but this 3D hero stuff exceeded my expectations. Especially due to the fact that I opened the spool and left it out for over a month while I got super busy and didn’t touch my printers. The results were still great! No popping or anything associated with moisture filled stuff. I’ve only had a chance to print a few things on my Ender 2 @ .15mm thus far but I’ll definitely be picking more up on the future because the results were really good and that blue is an astoundingly good color.
