My kids love love love these pancakes. They’re great because they’re packed with protein, so you aren’t just loading up on carbs. Favorites are Dark chocolate and peanut butter.

Love them! The kids are loving the chocolate banana muffin recipe on the box. Good breakfast for the kids packed with protein and fiber.

We made the muffins to freeze as a snack when the chocolate demon hits. First I thought 6 boxes was going to be a lot. Then I realized I can get only two batches of muffins from one box so it's really not 'that' much considering the $$ savings by buying bulk. With that said - let me give you thoughts - Taste - not really sweet and not deep chocolate like a full fledged chocolate brownie but it can and will curtail my cravings when needed. This batter does have tiny chocolate bits in it as well. Recipe for pancakes - gives you the caloric values if you use water or skim or whole milk so you can make your own decision with the number in front of you. My first recipe from the box = cupcakes. I used water and since I didn't have the bananas they suggested, I used applesauce in place of them. I have to say we are really happy with this brand and the flavor. Texture of the cupcakes was perfect - not dense and not powdery. If need be, we can top with some nonfat whipped topping for an extra special treat. As for pancakes - my friend (that suggested this to me) said the batter is a bit runny. So I went ahead and purchased the silicone forms so I can make the cakes in the form and thickness I need and not get too much per serving. All in all - we feel it's worth the money.

I bought this together with the mini waffle maker. Waffle came out great. I tried to make muffin but I talent is not good enough.... would love to blame the product but can’t. Texture: soft if eating immediately Taste: not as fake sugary nor too sweet like other product. There is mini black chocolate melt in. Will have mini peanut if you buys peanut butter ones

Quick and easy way to quickly make breakfast in the morning. (My secret) I cook it less so its gewy (spelling?) and taste like a delicious brownie!!

I have purchased this in both Buttermilk and Dark Chocolate and quite honestly, these are THE MOST DELICIOUS PROTEIN PANCAKES ON THE MARKET! The package states several ways to make your pancakes. You can mix them with a standard 1:1 ratio of water and mixture. For a sweeter taste, you can add in 1:1 ratio of milk. For a bit more protein, you can add 1 cup of milk and an egg, making sure that the two are properly whisked before combining your mixture. Either way, each method provides a beautiful and delicious result. You will not be disappointed!

I've been counting carbs, calories, and proteins and was thrilled with I found Kodiak Power Cakes in my local grocery store. Unfortunately, I've not seen it there since, so I've ordered from Amazon. I've not yet tried this mix as a waffle, but the flapjacks are good (especially topped with a mixed fruit puree). I enjoy one as a late afternoon snack to tie me over until dinner. I like the muffins even better, though, and the muffin recipe is conveniently printed on the box. (I cut the fat content by substituting applesauce for half of the butter. They turn out dense, hearty, and so filling. I bake a batch ahead of time, freeze the muffins, and thaw when ready to eat.) They're great for part of a tasty breakfast or a quick, satisfying mid-morning snack! The flapjacks and muffins are not terribly sweet (which suits me); however, the recipe for each can easily be modified by simply adding a little Stevia, brown sugar, or chocolate chips if you prefer a sweeter product. You can also increase the protein grams by adding milk and/or egg instead of water. Again, directions for this are on the box. Easy peasy.

These are soooo good. Not okay, great. Whole grains, protein, chocolate?! What’s more to say. Love the ease of making pancakes and waffles with this brand.

Listen, I was never a huge pancake person. I would eat them maybe twice a year. But I picked up a box of the dark chocolate and poppyseed to make for my kids to see if I could get them to eat a hearty breakfast and break their cereal habit. We were staying with extended family at the time and everyone raved about them. We all agreed that you don't even need syrup- you can eat them plain. Now we have subscriptions set up so that we eat them every day. The dark chocolate is the favorite, and we only add syrup on "special occasions". We also love the pumpkin flax. My kids don't like the poppyseed but I love it. However, we all universally agree that the peanut butter kind taste like bark. Amazon just sent us a case on accident and we will just give it away. The basic buttermilk mix is also fine, just a normal pancake mix, but you can't eat it plain and I don't like loading my kids up with extra sugar every morning. Note that we never do anything other than just mix with water and the pancakes turn out great. I've stopped measuring and just tweak the consistency based on whether I want thinner or fluffier pancakes. I didn't see that the addition of milk and eggs made them that much better. In fact, for the chocolate kind it diluted the chocolate flavor and made them less chocolatey. We have also made the muffin recipes on the box and that's a nice way to shake things up. Really, these pancakes are almost too good to be true. I eat two and feel full, my kids get a good breakfast, and they are delicious. And the price on Amazon (especially with a subscription) cannot be beat. I raved about them so much to a man I met at a conference that he emailed me and asked for the link. I'm not sure why some people don't like them (unless they are talking about the peanut butter kind which, as mentioned before, is horrendous) but we are 8 months in and still in love.

I bought the Kodiak Chocolate Peanut Butter microwaveable snack cups a couple weeks ago and decided to try using this pancake and waffle mix in the same way. I reused a Kodiak cup, poured in a similar amount of powder, added water until the batter consistency was neither thick or thin, and put it in the microwave until the flapjack rose, lost its wet sheen, then let it spin around another 10 or so seconds. It turned out great, fluffy, and was cooked all the way through. Nutritionally, they have much less fat and sugar than the cup variety. (See the side-by-side photo.) The cups are more like a dessert, with the sweetness of a store-bought muffin or cupcake. I don't own any syrups or chocolate chips or peanut butter, but this dark chocolate pancake and waffle mix would certainly be customizeable. I will add cinnamon to my next one.
