SWEET CHRISTMAS
My current phone is G4 Plus and I love it but I want a new M-G7 w/Android 9. JUST SUPER SAD. 3/15/2019. Update Got it all set up. Transferred / updated from my previous Moto G4 phone. The replacement works! G7 A Sweet phone. I have been told that my new G7 Has even better sound than my original G4 phone, same service so the new G7 has a better set of microphones so it has clearer sound. Big screen. I have tried fooling the facial recognition but I have not been able to fool it. Photo images fail to fool it. My mirror image can't fool it! Holy! SWEEET. WORKS AWESOME. update 3/26/2019 - I was able to fool the facial recognition with an exact photo image of myself - took many attempts and the lighting had to be just right. sad. Works on Verizon service. I drained the Battery to 4% I used a turbo charger using the USB-C connector it took about an hour to get me up the 93 percent. Unlike my Moto G4 the G7 battery did not get hot. Impressive. SO FAR I'M LOVING IT. SOOO GOOOD.

Best phone for the money
I previously owned a Moto G4. The G7 has cutting edge technology with the latest Oreo operating system. The new snapdragon cpu can handle very demanding games. The camera takes clear, beautiful pics. The phone has facial recognition which works surprisingly well. I compared my phone to a 800.00 Samsung phone my friend had, and the Moto G7 not only looked better, it ran smoother.

Great phone
I just received this phone and the design is amazing. It looks and works great. Not super big but a tad larger than my g6. Thank you for this cool phone!

*** My upgrade from Moto G5+ to the G7
I loved my G5 but it had become too slow so I got the G7 from Amazon. I chose this unlocked version as I use TracFone. The migration of service and content was long and stressful even though I had to expect that moving from Android 8 to 9 on a new Moto phone would have challenges. After holding the new phone I knew I had to encase it. I went back to Amazon and bought a protective case from Best quality case. Cost was $6 and it is excellent!! So far I am extremely pleased with the speed, and enhanced volume in this new Moto. And this Android version Pie gives you more options. The negatives are: It is heavier than the 5+. Initially I had problems with the email with 2 email clients. Fixed it. Volume of voice emails is a wee low even though I always invoke the Speaker. I wish battery would stay charged longer. Nonetheless, overall I highly recommend this phone as THE leader in the budget Android category.

Don't waste $1,000 on an expensive phone
I love the Moto G series and am now upgrading for the G5 plus. I used to buy the Samsung S series but they got way too expensive for me. This phone does not disappoint either. I tell everyone debating which phone to get to look at this phone. There is nothing I can't do on it that you can do on a $1,000 phone. The setup was easy and a few new gimmicks were added from the G5. A few notes for those interested: The fingerprint sensor on the back threw me off in the beginning but I'm starting to it. Yes, it works on Verizon. I can make calls, receive texts and use data without any problems. The phone is very slippery and I'm hoping my case comes soon because I feel it just slides off my nightstand too easily. The screen extending all the way to the top means the camera drops down into the screen area. It just feels a little funny looking at it in the morning if the notification bar at the top. The fact that there is no NFC or wireless charging doesn't bother all that much. I will try to update again after having the phone for a longer period of time. The lack of any waterproofing is a little frustrating. Update: apparently on Android 9, the volume buttons on the side of the phone no longer control ring volume and you need to go into settings to change the ring volume. If you use the ringer volume control daily do a quick Google search on this. However you will have this issue on any new Android running on Pie (9)

Worth every penny
I received my phone and right away was blown away. It's much faster than the moto g6 which was my previous phone. I love the new look and new tear drop camera doesn't bother me at all. I love the face unlock feature it's so much faster unlocking your phone that way. I like the how the fingerprint sensor is now in the back of the phone because it's more convenient. I had no trouble installing my TracFone sim card or my SD card. Transferring all my apps and stuff was a breeze. The camera quality is really good. The speaker sound isn't great but doesn't bother me because I use Bluetooth headphones all the time. The body of the phone is kind of slippery so I would suggest getting a sturdy phone case before taking it out in the world.

Phone performs, looks and feels like a premium $700 phone
The white version of this device is simply beautiful. With 64GB of memory + Google Photos you will never run out of memory space. Phone is fast. fast. fast. I think the photos come out a lot better than previous versions and I am not running out of battery even though I played with it for many hours. It's a great purchase, loving it... will update if it changes.

A worthy upgrade from the Moto G5+
After having my Moto G5+ for almost a year and a half, the announcement for the G7 was extremely positive from critics and tech gurus on the internet. So I bought it to replace my phone. A day in, the phone is extremely smooth with the interface being the classic moto design (being that there is no junk software). Transferring my data from android to android was easy, and was able to get the feel of "my phone" in about 3 hours. A majority of the software seen in the moto g5+ can be seen on the 7 and is extremely responsive. The camera is middle of the road quality however, but in comparison to the moto g5+ , the camera on the newer model has several more features and a second camera whose capability quality is "it works" and honestly that's a great thing. I found the camera to be more responsive and able to snap photos quicker than my G5 and able to actually work on Snap-chat. The design of the phone is beautiful, and looks and feels like a phone that one might spend a gargantuan amount of monies on (looking at you samsung and apple). And that's what i love about the Motorola G series, these phones look beautiful and have decent hardware that doesn't tear my wallet apart. For this price point the hardware on this phone makes Motorola still the king of budget phones. Edit: May 23rd Phone is still responsive with quality updates made to the camera. I'm still thoroughly enjoying this phone.

Love it.
This is quite a leap from my Moto G5. Reddit is fast. Google Assistant is quite responsive. Autodesk Sketchbook is more fun to draw with. Lots of screen real estate. The extra speed and pixels are worthb the price. When I double-chop to light up the torch I whisper "Lumos!"

Very nice
I just upgraded from the Moto g6 I got last summer and I have to say I love this phone. It's super fast and the screen is slightly upgraded from last year's g6 model I highly recommend this phone if you are looking for a nice android phone for a good price the only thing I don't like about it is that the speaker is bottom firing and the fingerprint sensor is on the back but it's 19:9 display that was to be expected
