Solid phone priced right

The Moto G7 power is a great phone at an even better price. It has a huge battery that does not increase the device size significantly, it has the latest Android flavor, and is pretty zippy. And is $250. The previous reviews that said it didn't come with features that it clearly did not state it had or someone complaining about the lack of a $7 case or headphones are ridiculous. This phone is EXACTLY what Moto says it is. A very good phone for a very good price with a very good battery.

Great phone for business use!

My old phone was a Samsung S6 - the battery would last half a day but I just didn't want to spend $600 on a new phone. When that phone had a water-related incident I was forced to replace it on short notice. Considering my main complaint on any phone is battery life I picked the G7 Power. I am very impressed so far with the battery life - multiple days with bluetooth and wifi on, moderate internet use, navigation use for about an hour a day. I don't do gaming or much video streaming so I can't comment on that. But to say that I no longer panic when I have less than 60% battery life - I don't charge now until I'm at 20%. I now no longer need to bring a charger when I do a single day round trip flight for work - I know the battery will last. Very impressed for the cost, and Motorola has convinced me that for my low-computationally intensive use that a $250 phone is great for what I do. Excellent value!

Great phone!

I've always liked Motorola cell phones, and this is one of their best. I previously had a moto G5S Plus, which was a very good phone. I lost my phone and bought a Galaxy S9 last year and now remember why I don't buy flagship phones. My S9 looks great but no moto gestures, glass has cracked in front and back from what I don't know, and the battery is often done by 2-3pm. The Moto G7 Power has exactly what I need in a phone - 1.) big display but not too big that you cant use with one hand 2.) Nearly stock android with the addition of moto gestures, which I miss in my S9, and 3.) POWER! this phone lasts me 3 days and I use it all day. And, it's only $200+!

Worthy budget purchase

1 Week review: Upgraded from a LG Vista 2 & on AT&T. I don't buy flagship phones as I don't feel their price tag is worth for what I use a phone for & I also usually keep a phone for way too long before upgrading (3-4 years). I'm a simple man. The battery life was the main reason why I purchased this and ill be honest that It feels really weird not having to charge my phone in the middle of the day (its usually >60% charged by the end of the day) & that is with a hour or so of phone calls, 100 + texts, flashlight usage, a few YouTube video's, 30 or so minutes of gaming & other assorted crap. Battery life, battery life, battery life. I didn't really know how important or convenient this was until i got a phone with this battery size. With my old phone I would be hesitant to use it too much at work as I would never have a chance to charge it mid shift, its just nice to be able to use it as much as i need at work... I had some initial issues connecting to the Internet (when disconnected from WiFi) and took a bit of searching to find the issue; turned out to be a APN related issue... though that might just be due to the SIM card I got from the AT&T store... There was also some issues with receiving Group texts. But overall this phone does work with AT&T, just might require some tweaking due to it being unlocked rather directly from their store. Even though it has a smaller screen resolution size its not really noticeable and it probably actually helps with the battery life. I work nights & outside on machines so the Moto gestures (i think they are called) actually come quite in handy especially since I usually forget to bring a flashlight & can activate the flashlight without having to open up the phone itself. It only has 3gb of ram but that's a upgrade for me, but it still opens all of the app's I use quick enough. If i want 8gb of ram ill just boot up my old laptop Like I previously stated the battery life on this phone is its selling point & it delivers on that point, it wont have the super high def images or pictures (I don't take many photos on my phone anyways) & Ill admit that my GF's pixel 2 is actually really nice with the Night time picture feature... but I'm still not paying that much for a overpriced brick. But I didn't buy this phone for its camera nor would i ever buy a phone just because it had X or Y camera. also this phone has a Headphone jack, suck it new gen phones!!! Def worth the price tag.

GREAT! smartphone without breaking the bank

I bought this phone to use with straight talk. I put my old SIM card in and I was done. The device is great... Quite an upgrade from my old phone. UI took about a day to completely figure out which for me is very acceptable. Screen clarity is great. My games look much smoother now. The sound is loud and clear. So far this device is perfect for me.

So, I got this phone on 1st April and I charged it to 98% at 5 PM EST. As I write this review at 6 PM EST, it's been 5 days and the phone still has 31% battery left even after near 10 hours of netflix, hotstar and some gaming. I was earlier using the Moto Z2 Force and while the performance was pretty decent, I would seldom find the battery life wanting and the absence of a headphone jack made things even worse. I was looking for a phone with a half decent screen with good battery life and 3.5 mm jack since I do some lightweight gaming only. After a lot of search, I notice Moto G7 series and since I really care for battery power, I straightaway went for G7 power. It's been 5 days since I have been using it and I have to say, I am extremely satisfied with it. Sure, the screen resolution is not good considering the flagships and the other G7 models, but the PPI is good enough for day to day use with decent performance at a fraction of the cost you would be paying for the flagships. People might compare it to chinese offerings and surely, you might get more bang for the buck if you were to spend ~$225 on Huawei/Xiaomi phone. But after my research, I found out that many of them don't support the LTE bands for the US network providers such as ATT/Verizon. I myself use ATT and it seems to work just fine on my G7 power. In conclusion, if you are average user like me, you can't do better than G7 power at this price point.

Does exactly what I need/want it to without worrying about carrying around a $1,000 item

I have been using this phone for 5 weeks now in Phoenix on T Mobile. I love this phone. You can't beat the $225 price with the large screen. You can buy a "more impressive phone", but it will cost you. I find this phone does everything I would want and expect it to, and I don't have to worry about breaking something that will cost me a grand to replace. The battery life is impressive, I can use it all day and it is still charged, and the fast charger makes it convenient to recharge quickly. I was concerned with the quality of the camera, but I haven't found any issues there either. I love the fingerprint reader to unlock the phone. There are only a few things I wish it had. I wish there were an option to buy a version with more internal storage and a different color (but who cares about the color it gets covered up in a case). I also wish there were an internal memo app. I won't complain for $225 though. It does exactly what I want it to without worrying about losing/breaking something valuable.

Upgraded from an S7

So far loving the phone, of course it's only been one day so this review will evolve over time. I love the big battery on this phone! it's the reason I got it. I'm able to play my mobile games on this without zero issues (like opera omnia or marvel strike force), the photos come out great and i haven't seen any stuttering or lag so far. The visuals on this phone look amazing and clear. I'm coming from an s7 so this has a bigger screen and display, even with the bevel which I think is negligible anyway I hardly notice it. The battery usage so far seems very amazing, it barely drains despite having quite a bit of apps that track my location. The audio can get super loud on this compared to my s7 which I love when playing music. edit: changing this to a 3 star, So far I haven't been able to connect to 4g on verizon and I keep getting a no SMS connection issue, hopefully motorola can resolve this but this is not a good sign for a new phone. NEW UPDATE: purchased another phone from amazon and i'm getting 4g now, clearly Moto needs to work on their Quality checking but i'm just happy it works now. Since it was a lemon phone I put this phone back up to full stars.

Amazing value at this price point.

I can't believe I was paying $8-900 for a phone when this phone does everything you need and the battery last for days and recharges in about an hour. Very solidy built and has a nice screen. Excellent value for the price.

I LOVE this phone! Lasts all day+!

This is a great phone! I've only had it 2 days now, but so far I love it. My 1st criteria for a new phone was battery life. What good is having the slimmest phone if you have to carry around a big external battery? That's idiotic! I want my phone to charge overnight and last all day with heavy usage. This phone delivers! I used it a lot yesterday and ended with 59% battery remaining. SO much better than my last phone needing to be recharged 2x or 3x/day. The display is beautiful, the design is beautiful, the size is perfect and it really is not noticeably thicker or heavier than any other 6+" phone. It gets great signal, both cell and wi-fi. The professional tech reviews talk about how this falls short of a "flagship phone". Who cares? It's $225! I don't even need a protection plan at that price. Save your extra $1,000+! If I lose it or break it, no problem, buy another one - next day delivery from Amazon. It is probably equal to a flagship of 2 years ago and that's awesome! The screen resolution is lower than a flagship but who can tell? The screen is beautiful! The chip may be slower than a flagship, but who cares? It is fast and smooth. The camera may not be the very last word, but it is excellent, so who cares? The back may be plastic, but it is beautiful and now it's covered with a nice case anyway, so who cares? Comparing this to a flagship is like saying "well, your car only goes 150 mph". Yes, that's plenty fast - I don't need a car that goes 165 and costs 4 or 6 times as much. This has the latest Android, has a headphone jack (very important to me so I don't keep frying my brain with wireless buds), has a micro SD card slot, it has Gorilla Glass, has a really good speaker, an excellent fingerprint reader in the perfect position and the MOTO software is excellent. The phone has pop up help messages at just the right times as you transition so switching phones is easy. How many flagship phones can last 18 hours with heavy usage? Oh, it also has fast charging (usb-C). Charged from 59% to full in about an hour. So, get this and laugh at the idiots spending 6x more for having the very latest. I am completely unimpressed just because somebody has a Galaxy 10 or iPhone 273+ (that won't work anyway because the battery is dead). Being an early adopter is ludicrous. Oh, and check out cricket. We have 4 lines, unlimited everything, for a hundred bucks a month! Excellent service coverage. Update: After 2 weeks - I REALLY love it! My old phone would die after 3 hours using Waze. On a recent trip, I used Waze for 11 hours, plus playing audios, plus keeping up with messaging and emails and still ended the day with about 50% battery! With light to moderate use, I've gone 3 full days on a single charge. It's great not having to lug around an external battery or worry about having a charger. It also charges fully in 1-2 hours. 4 weeks now and still love it! Works perfectly.
