I bought this lap desk to use in my car because I am often working outside the office. I mostly use it for note taking, calendaring, writing etc when on calls and in between stops. (I’m a journalist.) The product is gorgeous and well made. The cushioning is sturdy and perfectly plump. I love being able to put my iPhone in the top right phone slot. On occasion I I’ve actually gone out to my car in the evening to retrieve it in order to work on my couch because I prefer this desk so much. The weight suits my tastes. I was very surprised by how much I love this lap desk. I’ve owned quite a few and this is my favorite by far. I bought the Argyle pattern in the small desk size. I plan to purchase a second desk for home.

Perfect for a 14-inch Laptop

This lap desk works perfectly for my needs. My 14-inch laptop fits on the platform and leaves bout two inches of platform on either side. There's a slot to lean your phone behind your laptop. It will fit most phones, but I'm not sure if it will fit the newer phablets. There's a raised piece at the front that will keep your laptop from sliding off the front of the platform, but my laptop still has the rubber feet and I have had no issues with sliding. As for comfort, the lap desk rests on your lap via a malleable cushion that's filled with what feels like microbeads. It molds to your lap so you can angle the platform and laptop in a way that's most comfortable for your wrists. The only downside at all (and it's a slight one) is the cushion is a little warm, but it's nowhere near as warm as having your computer directly on your lap.

There is not a thing that I did not like about this lap pad. I especially like the pencil holder, the bar at the bottom, and the strap at the top. Plus, it is light and yet sits firmly on my knees, important to me when I do my crossword puzzles. Delivered early and very well packaged. Thanks!

Exactly what I wanted in a lap desk!

I had a 10-year-old lap desk that needed to be replaced. After lots of searching and trying other styles/brands, I found this gem! It is exactly what I have been wanting in a lap desk. I work from home so I like to carry my "office" from room to room. Here's a list of everything I love about this new lap desk: 1. I use a MacBook Pro and it fits perfectly on this portable desk. 2. The pretty damask fabric looks great anywhere in my home. The fabric feels durable and easy to spot-clean. 3. Foam beads filling that mold to my legs and allow for easy balance. Note: many of the lap desks I looked at were angled for sitting in one position. The foam beads allow you to move the angle and adjust for multiple sitting/lying positions. 4. Built-in ledge so I can actually lay in bed and work without my computer sliding off! OMG! 5. Has a handle on top for easy carry and the lap desk is VERY light! 6. Slot at the top fits my iPhone (I often use my iPhone to reference when I'm working...this makes it upright and hands-free. 7. Smooth, yet hard surface top great for writing, coloring, and bullet journaling.

Great lap desk!

My husband and son got this for my birthday and it has been great. I use it for writing and also for my laptop at night. Makes work so much easier and enjoyable. Everyone else has started using it. I have gotten so many compliments from people on the color and design.

Just what you needed

I ordered this item for use with my tablet while typing on a solid keyboard. I used to fold a blanket on my lap in order to keep my set up 'sturdy and level' This lap desk was a great improvement for me. I was at an 8 hour seminar typing notes the whole time. My lap never got hot from the desk and I also never dropped anything. There's a lightweight bead fill in the bottom that allows you to adjust the desk to your lap. My phone fit nicely in the allotted slot. The angled band worked well for a pamphlet I was referencing while typing. I also loved the color and the pattern. So much more fun having an interesting pattern and not childish either. I would recommend this to anyone.

Size

This is the perfect size for my 15" laptop with a little space extra for my mouse (don't like using a touchpad). The padding on the bottom of the lap desk is very comfortable for my thighs. There's a little elastic band on the upper left side which is perfect for keeping the charger cord in place.

Very comfortable.

First, I love the ledge, it holds my laptop in place and prevents it from slipping. The top is sturdy and yet light weight. It is also smooth, which made it great for drawing. Lastly, the padding under conformed to my legs and was very comfortable. It stayed cool and comfortable, it was lightweight, I hardly knew it was there. I am so happy I chose this one.

Would buy it again!

Loved this lap desk! Lightweight, sturdy, and not bulky at all. The slot for your phone or pen is really handy when you’re trying to organize multiple items.

handy for my keyboard and mouse

I do not have a desk for mu iMac so I set my iMac screen on a small shelf and my keyboard and mouse on my lap desk. Handy for that and anything else that I need close by
