Good sturdy pepper spray
First off, I like that there's an expiration date....I had NO idea that pepper spray expired. The more ya know! ;) I've never had a pepper spray or weapon other than a knife on my, but that's usually at the bottom of my purse, and half the time I don't even have my purse on me, so my husband was excited for me to get this (he's been hounding me to get my concealed carry to keep in the diaper bag, but that still makes me too nervous). I do feel a lot safer having SOME kind of self defense weapon on me at all times (especially when I have my kid with me). I also LOVE the fact that this is a multifunctional safety tool. The window breaker at the bottom is super sharp (so be sure not to poke yourself or your kid), so I'm confident if I needed it that it would get the job done. I also like the feature of the seat belt cutter (the blade is well protected under the clip, so you'd have to try REALLY hard to slice yourself). I keep a knife in my car, but it does tend to move and jostle around, so if I'm ever in an accident where I end up upside down or in a body of water, I like knowing that my keys will be accessible. They are a bit heavy and cumbersome on my used to be minimal key ring, but like I said, I want easy access to them if I need them, and I always have my keys on me. The color is also very pleasant. I like that it's not boring black or pink like most other pepper sprays I've seen.

Sabre makes a great device
Sabre is my go-to for safety. Their items work and you don't have to worry about them misfiring them or not working. I usually buy three or four at a time and use one to practice with. I have hit myself in the face with one once and it took me out for half an hour. It really is one of the most painful things I have done to this day and I have been on this earth for a few decades. Sabre pepper gel will put you on your butt, if you rub your face after you have been hit you will be hating life for a while and when you forget you got the gel on your hands hours later you will be on your butt again. There is no maybe here. The fact that you get a 3 in 1 safety tool makes this an even better item. I will be replacing all of my pepper gel with these because of that. I will be able to stow several of my items in my trunk now and just keep this thing in front of my car. If you are thinking of getting something like this to get a Sabre. You will not be disappointed. It has several tools in addition to the pepper gel. The pepper gel will work. I have the utmost confidence in the Sabre because they have been perfecting this technology for a while now.

With this multi-tool pepper spray, the Imperial Troopers could have held the rebels at bay.
So I bought this apocalyptic multi-tool confidently knowing that if all else failed, at least it would be more accurate than the weapons the stormtroopers use in Star Wars. Makes sense, right? Set your standards low, so that you won’t be disappointed. I apply this philosophy towards my personal relationships as well, but that will have to be for another product review. This one is for pepper spray—something which has, thankfully, never been used on me, despite the unequivocal veracity of the former statement. I currently work for a company, which despite being listed on the NY Stock Exchange, and making billions of dollars, insists on placing the facilities which I must visit in parts of America which most resemble war-torn Yemen. Since law enforcement apparently still uses carrier pigeons to dispatch their calls, I decided to purchase this item should I be forced to resolve any disputes on my own. At the very least I would be able to use the belt cutter to extricate myself from my overturned vehicle in the event of a riot occurring around me—again. After a thorough examination of this product, I can tell you that I am very pleased. It has a handy-dandy belt clip that swivels which is attached to a ring I can easily pull apart with a single grab in an emergency, a strong spring on a flip tab, and a window breaker, should I need to rescue one of our supervisors from being trapped in another vehicle—again. (Please take special note of the riot reference mentioned previously... No, seriously... I’m not kidding here. It actually happened) Although the glass breaking feature is probably something I will never use to rescue ANY more of the managerial spawn my company clones with the consistency of fresh rabbit pellets, it is good to know that it is indeed there in case I need to rescue someone’s dog locked in a car in 110 degree heat. As for the pepper spray, that is a gel compound. I have little experience with “gel” in this sort of an application, so I cannot comment on it with any authority. My experience with “gel” in other applications has varied from hair product to another usage which is probably best not described here in polite company. (Please reference my low-standards comments in the beginning of this article for exculpatory information on the comment mentioned previously). It seems like a quality item which may indeed extend my life one day... Therefore, I am giving this product a five-star review in the hopes that I never have to use it in any capacity whatsoever.

Just what I needed, and maybe more
I wanted a pepper *gel* spray, with a protected flip top that could be stored in my car year round (out of direct sunlight), and this fit the bill. The other features were not very important to me, but are nice bonuses. I'm not sure how effective the window breaker would be, as it is rather small. The seat belt cutter is also on the smaller side, and doubt that it would quickly do the job. That said, I have another device for both purposes that will certainly get those jobs done. In other words, don't buy this item expecting much other than a solid, strong spray of pepper gel.

Always ready should I need it!
I had thought about getting a pair of scissors to carry in my car should I ever need them, but having them in the glove compartment would make them inaccessible (should I ever need them to free myself). I knew there were not many safe spots so I debated as to where I could have them. I never really thought about breaking the glass, I figure it would never come down to it. -The tool is very small and fits easily in my hand. I am able to fit this in my purse on a tiny side pocket -I am yet to try to pepper spray anyone so I don't know how strong it is (and I, personally, prefer not to find out). The spray is protected by a hard plastic so you don't accidentally spray anything or your purse -Instructions were clear -Solid plastic, it seems like it can withstand a bit of roughness, should you accidentally drop it I am glad to have this, definitely worth knowing I have it should I ever run into a situation where I need it.

Only brand I carry
Perfect timing for this item to show up in my Vine queue as I lost my pepper spray keychain just the day before. Sabre has been my brand of choice of personal security items ever since my first self-defense class back in college, not just for myself but also for friends and relatives as gifts. Thankfully, I've only once had to use a pepper spray device and it worked exactly as needed and I successfully protected myself and 2 friends who with me from a couple of guys who tried to jump us in the parking of a club as we were leaving. Aside from carrying this brand of pepper spray, I also recommend checking your device at least once or twice a year, making sure to stand up-wind with no one else around and only give it a very quick press of a second or two. You wouldn't want the nozzle to be clogged or malfunctioning should the time come when you need it to work and possibly save your, or someone else's, life.

SABRE RED Is Synonymous With Safety
My interest in the SABRE RED Safe Escape, 3-in-1 Car Safety Tool was mainly for its Maximum Police Strength Pepper Gel. I wanted replacements for key chain pepper gel canisters that were pushing five years old (because I read somewhere that pepper gel should be replaced every three years). Initially I was looking only for the gel, but when I saw that this from SABRE RED, I jumped on the opportunity to add a seat belt cutter and window glass breaker. Having known and trusted the SABRE brand for years, it was an easy decision to upgrade. I love that the extra functionality doesn’t make the tool huge. It’s barely larger than the gel only key chain canisters I replaced. I’m hopeful that we’ll have no actual need for any of the tool’s functions, but if we do, I am confident enough in the SABRE brand to feel secure the tool will cut a belt, break a window, or repel an attacker. I hope we never need to use one!

Gives me peace of mind.
I wanted the seat belt cutter and the window glass breaker. I don’t want to have to hope that someone seen me go into the lake and will come to my aid. I wanted to be able to get myself out of a vehicle if need be. I was able to go to our local junk yard to test it on a seatbelt and the glass. I was surprised and how difficult it was to cut a seatbelt. Eventually I managed, but it doesn’t make me feel great at being able to do it and do it quickly if need be. I don’t see this as a judgement on the product, but more at my skills at trying to figure it out. I am keeping this in my car, in the drivers side door. I see the pepper spray as an added bonus, but again I didn’t intend to carry this with me. I may change my mind on that. I like that it is lightweight and very easy and comfortable to carry. I do feel better knowing that I have it and I just hope I never have to use it.
