So far, so good; 4000k is great for kitchen/bath

It's hard to find 4000k temperature, and 3000k is still too yellow for some rooms like my kitchen and bathroom. 4000k is a nice clear white that doesn't add a yellow cast, but doesn't go into the blue/green territory of 5000k. Changing my kitchen lights to these made such a huge difference. I wish they were available in a smaller pack though.

Surprising brightness

My wife and I just replaced our bathroom light fixtures. She said she wanted the brightest light bulbs I could find at a cheap price. These are what I ordered. I installed the new light fixtures, loaded the new bulbs, and... Ok, so, do you remember Clark Griswold's neighbors getting blinded by his Christmas lights? If bright is what you need, be careful what you wish for. My wife made me get lower wattage bulbs from elsewhere in the house for our new bathroom lights. These made her react much the same way Julia Louise-Dreyfus did in Christmas Vacation. So now our bathroom covered vent lights have been replaced with these super bright bulbs (which needed to be higher wattage anyway), as have the bulbs in three random table lamps. Everything worked out well, and my wife and I are pleased to have the extra lumens where I installed them. Only critical thing is I would guess these may be a little whiter than 3000K color temp. I expected a bit more incandescent warmth to the color tone, but these are more reminiscent of fluorescent lights, or possibly direct sunlight. Next time I order bulbs I think I'll look for a 2700K set. But since I have no way to measure color temp I'm giving Great Eagle the benefit of the doubt and the full 5 stars. And at least they're not blue.

Excellent LED track light!

We purchased this track lighting head as part of a project that added lighting to a family room. I wanted an LED light that would cast a warm yellowish tone, since this was in a room that would be used for home-theater TV watching. The light also needed to be dimmable, since we were wiring it to a Lutron dimmer switch. The track lighting I used in the past was somewhat disappointing. They were high Wattage lights that generated a lot of heat and would cast a non-uniform light. The light corona cast was comprised of light and dark patches, based on how the light reflected off the internal lens. When the lights arrived, the first thing that struck me was the construction quality. The light housing is actually made of metal. I expected some form of heat-resistant plastic. Not so. The lighting heads have a little heft to them and the build quality feels very solid. Installation was easy. The light has two contacts on one side and one on the other. You fit these into the Halo track so the contact configuration matches that of the track, and then twist to set the contacts in place. To remove or move a light, you pull down on the collar just below the contacts and then twist in the opposite direction. The light twists out of the track. What I was most pleased with was the light that was cast was perfect! It is uniform and beautiful. No dark patches, like we have on our other track light. Dimming is also perfect. The Lutron dimmer managed the Great Eagle track light head wonderfully. Dimming is relatively smooth, and the light cast by the LED responds accordingly. We were so impressed with these lights that we ordered an additional one for the track. We now have three, and I couldn't be happier. For the money, you can't go wrong. Highly recommended!

quality items

bought a 4 pk of same bulbs earlier this year. when they work they are great bulbs. however 3 of the bulbs flickered annoyingly for a few days before they stopped working completely. the last failure was just a couple weeks ago which is why I repurchased last week. based on the price for led bulbs this should not happen for years. they were installed in a simple 3 bulb kitchen fixture and again 3 bulbs failed all at different intervals. they provide great light when working. also why are the newer bulbs like 1/2 the weight of the older bulbs? better technology? I sure hope so.

Bright & inexpensive

These bulbs are bright and an excellent value for the money. We've only had them for about a week, so I can't comment yet on longevity, but I have other Great Eagle LED bulbs and have had only one failure so far that the company immediately addressed. So I expect these will hold up well. The bulbs don't support dimming, but for fixtures where that's not important, these will definitely put out some lumens. My uses include closet overhead lighting, pantry lighting, combination light & ventilation fans in bathrooms, bedroom lights where we want enough output for reading, and shop drop lights. These bulbs are great for these uses.

These lights are really great. I replaced some halogen lights which were old and making a buzzing sound. These are bright, white and perfectly silent. While the lights are not cheap they are high quality. One thing you need to keep in mind is that you will likely need a new dimmer switch if you are replacing halogen or incandescent lights. I purchased a Lutron dimmer and Lowes and there is a issue where when the lights are on for a while then switched off and then back on quickly they begin to pulse. I thought at first this was an issue with the lights but found out the issue is line capacitance issue that changes from location to location. The best way to eliminate the problem (most folks will never experience it at all) is with a high quality dimmer. I spoke (emailed) with a rep at Great Eagle and found they recommend Lutron DVELV-303P-WH 300-Watt Diva Electronic Low Voltage 3-Way Dimmer I decided not to switch my dimmer to the more expensive one recommended because I really only have the issue if I turn the lights on and off quickly and can easy fix the issue by tapping the brightness setting button on the dimmer a couple of times. Since other may have this issue I thought it would be nice to know in advance the cause and fix if only for your own edification. I didn't take off a star because the problem is not with the lights and these are the nicest (and most expensive) lights in my house. The fact the company is easily to reach and fast to respond to questions and concerns makes it even better.

Very bright and effective Track Lights

These high quality lights are bright effective and low cost. I own a retail store where I use track lights to spot light my products in the store. My energy costs are sky high because its painful but I have to keep the store bright to attract customers. This track light snapped right on and put out almost 1300 lumens ! I replaced many halogen track lights, went from around 100 watts to 15 watts and was brighter. Now I don't have to get up on a high ladder to constantly change burned out bulbs, and the store is cooler. Its also UL certified and a 5 year warranty. At almost half the price of the competitors LED track lights, I think this is a great value. I also bought the 36W track lights as the main lights and I use these smaller 15W lights to fill to darker areas.

Good amount of light for the price

Good amount of light for a reasonable price. Like the A19 size, about the size of a regular 60W. Like 4000K light. Seems very natural. Warm white 2700/3000K seems too yellow and 5000K seems a bit blue. 4000K seems just right. Let's hope they last a long time.

A very bright LED light bulbs

I think these LED light bulbs put out more light than a regular filament bulb with the same rating. I had two bulbs go out on me but the company made it right with me by refunding the whole price I paid for them and did not request the defective bulbs returned. Great customer support!

Good bulbs

I bought these to replace in my parents' house because their fuses kept blowing, as well as light bulbs recently, having added 24/7 oxygen concentrators to the total load. So I wanted to do anything that would help, even a little, to reduce the load on the lines. I did not tell them, because they are steadfastly attached to the old fashioned type of light bulb. My husband advised me to choose the 'warm' light. These are perfect substitutes and no one noticed a thing! They are very bright and, they are a warm white light. Now they can keep certain lights on all night, because now more than ever, they need to see when they get up. Everything changes when people get older. So these are a great help in this house at this time. They work great, and customer service is very responsive, I might add. Thanks.
