My son is 1 1/2 years old and he's 25 lbs. He has a small waist and can still fit in. 9-12 mo pants or shorts because he's a little skinny. It says that the max weight is 25 but the 18 month fit perfect. I tried the ones with lots of buttons for adjusting but it was too much. Two buttons on one side is enough. I will be getting more colors. Love it!
I’ve been using these iPlay reusable diapers for both of my children in their potty training years! I like them the best out of all of the reusable diapers. Pros: stays on well; doesn’t sag or soak up water; cute patterns; use again and again Cons: my son has had accidents but if you don’t catch it in time it will leak. I recommend doubling up with a disposable swim diaper if it’s a public pool. Also if there is an accident sometimes their hard to get off and it makes a messy clean up.
I LOVE this swim diaper. By reading the reviews, I sized up and that was wise. My son is now 10 months old and the 12 months size that I bought for him is already getting rather tight. The design is really cute and I bought a matching hat as well, which funnily enough, is large. However, you can tighten the hat so it's not a big deal. The point is... If you are buying the DIAPER, SIZE UP. If you are buying the HAT, SIZE DOWN.
We had to buy our six month old a size 18. That fit him perfectly! He normally wears 9-12 clothes. This item runs small, especially if you'll be putting your baby in disposable swim diapers under the reusable swim diaper (like some pools require). Will definitely be purchasing another pair. These are much easier to take off than the pull up kind.
We have used other swim diapers in the past when my son was smaller that were very adjustable and great but they didn't go into larger sizes. My son is in 2t but should be moving to 3t pretty soon. We got a 3t diaper for him and it fits him great, is snug, and yet has some stretchy room to grow. I've noticed some people complain about the legs being tight but swim diapers need to be very snug in order to hold the poop in. I also liked the extra layers of padding! Glad to have found a reusable swim diaper for my toddler :)
I sized up per everyone’s suggest aaaaand TOO BIG!!! Unless your kiddo is JUST still squeezing into size 3T pants, there is absolutely no need to size up. Used just one diaper on a recent trip. I would just hand wash nightly in the hotel sink with a bunch of detergent I brought. My son never pooped in the pool but he did poop after getting out of the pool, I thought these worked great! I never hand washed a poopy one however ;)
Colorful with cute designs. Fit well and looked great. Have not faded much even though he swims several times a week in the family pool. I found it easiest to put on if you snap the leg opening first and then have them step into it like a pair of a shorts. My grandson is 28 months and because he is a little on the small side I ordered him and 18 /24 month size and it fits perfectly even though it looks small for him. The elastic on the waist and the legs make it just the right snugness. They are very easy to clean and I was amazed by how clean they came out just from rinsing with a hose after an oops happened.. After it was washed in the washing machine, it came out looking brand new!! I have bought him 4 different cute designs and that is all he basically wears to swim in. All of the boxer type swim shorts we had tried were too big in the waist and long on his legs. These swim bottoms were also super soft on the inside and held a lot of water so don't forget to squeeze out the excess water when he's done so he doesn't soak your lap or his towel! This is a great product and I highly recommend it!! Happy swimming!
I got the 3T size for my 20 month old son, he’s about 30 lbs. these fit him well, but I think the 2T would have been too small (I mention that because I normally buy him 2T sized clothes). He wore these over the top of a disposable swim diaper and pooped twice while swimming without any leakage. He also pooped once with just this swim diaper on, and while there was no leakage, it was a real pain trying to get the wet poopy diaper off of him with snaps only on one side of the diaper. The diaper itself was pretty easy to clean the poop out of. No stains/skid marks left behind after cleaning. Great swim diaper, no embarrassing poo in pool problems!
My son is a pool pooper, unfortunately. These are the first swim bottoms that actually contain the mess and give us time to get out of the pool before it spills out. They look like little bloomers, which is pretty cute and funny on him. They are also easier to put on that a lot of baby swim bottoms. I'm ordering more.
(Pic shows fit at 6 months, 15+lbs, 26 inches) I ordered the 12 month size for when my 6 month old was around 15lbs. The size chart indicates the 12 month size is for 6-12 months. They fit her well and snug. Now, at 8 1/2 months and over 17 lbs, they still work. I haven't experienced how they hold stool but they're cute and cover well. Great material and quality. No marks are left on her thick, muscular thighs nor her slim-jim belly.
