So glad I bought this for my mini!

Got this for my senior miniature horse and it works perfectly. Fits excellently and has kept him toasty in cold weather and rain. He's round but not obese... I could see it fitting more poorly on a weedy, growthy or small weanling - but for my purposes it's absolutely perfect. The construction is sturdy and durable, and the velcro closures on the chest and belly straps give a lot of room for adjustment (remember, you don't have to have them all as tight as possible!). The velcro straps are all double-sided, with a velcro cover on the blanket itself which goes over each strap to ensure it's well secured, meaning I'm not concerned about traps coming loose even if they're only secured halfway as far as they could be. For the price I was very impressed, and I like the fleecy wither protector and thick belly strap. It comes with a tail string to keep it from shifting, which I use and have had no problems with it sliding around more thea a couple inches once or twice. I highly recommend this unless you have a very scrawny/long baby, and for minis it's the best choice I've found. It's quitevwarm but breathes, and on the days/nights I've debated putting it on but did, he wasn't sweaty underneath. I'm impressed - especially for the price range - and would buy again in a heartbeat. Very pleased.

A true lifesaver

Let me preface by saying I am not a blanket endorser. I realize there are times especially after clipping when these things are necessary. But rarely in the real world of nature. Horses adapt easily and quickly to their surroundings and I find blankets are mostly used to please the owners. That said we had an unexpected early delivery and this foal did not arrive with much hair and was struggling in 30 degree weather to hold his temp and have strength to nurse. We bottle fed him through the first night and laid with him with blankets and things looked quite bleak. I ordered this blanket praying he would still be alive when it arrived the next day. The next day brought the sun, a foal that had learned to suckle from mom - yay and this lovely blanket. While the blanket was tiny it was still quite big for this preemie. However we cinched up the velcro doubling it back and tightened the adjustments on the neck area and then added some vet wrap around the belly a few times so it wouldn't hang to far. I'm sure it would fit a regular new born quite well but this guy was probably less than 50 lbs. It truly was a lifesaver. Between this and the Madigan squeeze we have a healthy vibrant foal who is just a bit over a month old to date and has grown quite well into this blanket. He will need a bigger size in another month or so. This blanket has no metal hardware so there is nothing to get caught or to damage your foal. The reflective tape is helpful especially when viewing from cameras at night as he is easily located. We are so grateful we were able to find such a perfect product as our local stores only had large foal blankets that could not even be easily modified as the sheer weight would have been too much for this baby to manage. For starters I've had a horrible time finding blankets for our mini's. This one seems to do the trick. For now its keeping them warm in the colder weather. Well made. Highly recommended.

Fit newborn foal perfectly

I was worried it would be too big for her but it fit great. I love the belly band and the heavy duty Velcro. It is highly reflective as well.

This blanket fits perfect. I measured according to the instructions and it was fine. The double velcro straps across the chest and the same around the belly make the blanket very secure. The hurricane blue is very attractive. I will be getting 2 more for the rest of the family.

Got this for my mini donkeys. Winter was so rough this year, I couldn’t stand to see them shiver. It kept them dry and warm.

The waterproofing is amazing! Even after 12 hour downpours...he is dry!

VERY happy I bought this. My guy is an elderly pony, so we got him this blanket till the weather levels out. Bought the 600D in a large foal size. Has the safety velcro with no hardware or leg bands. He stayed snug and dry last night and today with horrible rain!!
