Thanks for making my life a little easier

When I first bought my inspiron, I completely overlooked the possibility of having to use a disc at any point. Well, I had to, and after looking for optical drives on Amazon, I came across this one, and liked what I saw in the reviews. I haven't had any issues with it at all, and to this day, it has worked like it's brand new every time I've had to use it. Thanks for making my life a little easier.

I am pleased with my purchase.

I received my external DVD-RW drive today that I ordered through Amazon.com. I am pleased with my purchase. The DVD-RW dive works great for all it is meant to perform. When I received it I put it through its paces. I wanted to make sure it was working correctly since Amazon sent it to me in their yet infamous white and blue bubble wrap envelopes.

It is a very good USB 3 DVD driver.

It is lightweight, easy to handle and performs as expected. The delivery date is earlier than the expected delivery date. Highly recommended. The installation is simple, clean and fine. Great product. It is a very good USB 3 DVD driver. This is a plug and play device. Just insert it into your system, and it will work. I have many old DVD, I want to see, this DVD drive really helps me. I tried it on Windows and Mac, and it is very good in two systems. I believe this is a great product.

I love this CD drive.

I like the design and the surface texture. It touches very smooth. The transition part of the edges is nicely polished. And the weight of the CD drive is the weight I like, not too heavy nor too light. I personally like something you can feel the weight, and this drive gives me that feeling, not the cheap feeling from other plastic ones. Moreover, It runs really quietly. I usually work during night time. When I use it, I don't hear any noise. And it works really fast. Just plug in, then it's ready. I love this CD drive.

LIKE IT

I purchased this for a client. I have had 3 DVD R/W drives in this system, all have failed (about 1 year each). I decided to buy this because I have never seen a Lite-On drive fail and it's never picky about what brand of blank disks I feed it, it just works.

They work perfectly

This is the 2ND one I own, having them in two other computers. They work perfectly since installation, without fail. I highly recommend Lite-On for new computers and replacement drives. TWO THUMBS UP!

It is definitely portable.

This dvd drive is a slide out which does make me concern with the constant opening and closing but so far there have been no issues with the new device. It is just a plug and play so you do not have to worry about installing the drive. I have tried it on windows 7,8.1 and 10. There have been no issues and they all plug and played. The usb cable can be tuck and held at the bottom although one complaint I have about it is that it is integrated into the dvd player meaning that if there is any damage to the cable it is no easily replaceable. With reading and writing, it runs pretty standard depending on which USB port you are using. If it 3.0 you will be running at speeds close to an internal CD drive. If it is 2.0 it will run slower. It was able to burn an ISO of 4 gb in about 10-15 minutes. Make sure that device is on stable ground as you do not want the disk bouncing around as it could damage the laser or tray. It is not too noisy and fairly quiet. Overall it is pretty good product and a great thing to have as DVD drives are not as standard with newer laptops.

Convenient and comfortable for doing sports.

This was my second wireless headset since I wanted to try one that was sweat proof for my long walks in the hot sun. It was very comfortable and provided good quality sound. The only problem was that the manual was that the USB line was a little short.

Perfect for my needs.

This little CD/DVD player/writer is perfect for my needs. Its small and lightweight and the price cannot be beat. Just plug it in and go. The cord could be a little longer but it's really no problem and hides in the bottom of the unit completely out of the way when not in use. It works great with the docking stating and a powered USB (which I have to use anyway when not docked). Definitely recommend this product.

This works incredible

My MacBook Pro decided to stop reading DVDs. I usually burn copies of kids DVDs for my little sister since she scratches and breaks the originals. So I needed a replacement since I wasn't going to pay the $160+ labor they wanted to charge at the Apple Store! This works incredible! I can make copies of DVDs and it reads DVDs just like the one on my laptop before it stopped working. So worth it!
