Had a charging problem and called tech support and they said one of my solar panels might be bad or possibly corrosion on connections. I separated them and one was causing low voltage. I removed the bad panel from the group and the controller works as it should. The only down side is there is not a voltmeter on the controller but that is only a minor inconvenience.

No problems with this device. The bottom connectors are a bit tricky. The screw pushes the wire holder back so that the space for the wire is closest to the front of the device. The screws do not screw down on the wire, but bring the wire to the connection. The DC Load side is for a night light, not a load dump upon full charge. At full charge, the light blinks, my gauges still show a charge going to the batteries. It is always 300 milliamps or so.

This C.C. .......IS MAGNÍFICO....it keep my 12 D.C. batteries full all day while I m running almost my whole house !!! I have 1600w solar panels & 12 29DC deep cycle batteries, 4 of this charger controles........I have 💯 o/o sun light from 10am-3pm..!!...during this time I even use my washer/dryer , have...TV,cable,internec, 3 fans, refrigerator (24/7)...is great......MAKE SURE INSTALL IT RIGHT PROPERLY !!!!!!

Works great. I went with this units over the others I see with all the features. Back light, how much power is panel putting out, how much battery power do you have, what is the temperature in the battery bay etc. All is that is just a drain on what your trying to do, which is to charge the battery. I mounted this unit in my 5th wheel trailer by the inverter. I did not see the point of running a 20ft cable to the inside of the trailer and a 20ft cable back to the battery. 40ft of cable will cause you to lose a small amount of amperage. I rather have the extra amperage charging the battery. Easy to use and straight forward. Nice to set type of battery.

Worked great this weekend dry camping, love the simplicity that you only have to choose your battery type and it does the rest. Will purchase again and now my brother wants one for his rv. I recently ordered the temp sensor and I will review as soon as I can

Solar panel is connected to my 16 year old 700 amp RV batteries through a "Renogy Wanderer Li 30A 12V" that couldn't power the RV lights overnight. after bulk charge and 2 days of float charge lights will stay on for a couple of days , when camping the panel is connected to the batteries so they are fully charger all day, I have the panel laying flat on the RV roof, I could get an inverted and bring a blender camping, but were camping . very pleased with the performance of the panel and charger.

I actually have a few solar panels on my boat and 2 banks of batteries to run my sound system as the 1800 watts of sound burns through batteries faster than I can charge them with the engine. It's a 21 foot boat and I run it in saltwater so everything goes to hell pretty quickly. I have two of these charge controllers, one for each set of solar panel/ battery banks to replace the crappy charge controllers that came with the panels. These work great. The old charge controllers failed due to corrosion after about 3 months but these have been in place for about a year and work like a champ. Both battery banks are always topped off for the weekend and I have had no issues. The instructions are a little cryptic but you can figure them out.

It is a simple hookup. It just works! I used it to replace another charge controller that had too many bell and whistles but the other brand just quit after one season which also ruined the battery. The bad battery would no longer charge even with a smart battery charger with trickle charge. I used cheap 12v battery charger and leaving that overnight seem to have fixed the gel battery. So far so good after a few weeks. Will update should something go wrong...

Seems to be working, and I haven't blown anything :), thanks to Renogy's You Tube demonstration on how to hook up the charge controller. Thank you. There is also a you tube video on how to program the hours of usage (like a lamp), and what the lights mean, if you don't understand the instruction sheet that accompanys the solar charge controller. The setup is simple (I'm new to solar), just don't completely deplete your battery, as it's not meant to completely drain.

From the startup the controller has worked as advertised. The documentation that came with the controller is reasonably clear and understandable for the lay person (me). However, I recommend downloading the controller manual from their website rather than using a magnifying glass the read the manual that was enclosed. The thing that really stood out for me was that they have a telephone number in the manual and my two contacts with them has been stellar.
