This bluetooth transmitter/receiver worked very well. I mainly used it as a bluetooth receiver. It is very easy to pair it with the cellphone. The sound quality is outstanding. You can use this receiver with its build in battery or use the USB for power. This product does not have the annoying buzzing sound when powered by USB. The power button will only work as start/pause when connected with bluetooth though. Overall I highly recommend this compact and high quality device to convert your existing wired noise cancelling headphone to a wireless one with the fraction of the cost of a new wireless headphone.

My kids are loving this! We loaded their favorite music to an old iPod, plugged in this transmitter and they can play their music on the Bluetooth speaker. Revived our old iPods and brought them back to use. It arrived charged and ready to use, easy to pair with the directions given. Range tested up to 30’ away and it was still clear.

I was genuinely surprised at the music quality I was able to stream “ free” Pandora to my high end audio system! I am now going to subscribe to Pandora Premium to see if it gets even better! I am area buyer! I am always suspicious Amazon Reviews but you can rest assumed that this review is from a real buyer. Only negative so far is that the eclectic cord is a little to short! Hope this unit lasts!

Unless the tv is on mute my wife things the volume is too loud after 9pm. This lets me watch shows at night with headphoens so the kids can sleep. Go Yankees.

Great quality and so useful for parties instead of hauling around my huge Bluetooth speaker.

While this costs a bit more than a shorter range bluetooth transmitter/receiver, it offers a range that is two to three times what my laptop reaches. It is a very small box and antenna, which easily fits inside our audio system cabinet. It comes with 1) an adapter that connects two female RCA jacks to a female mini (3.5 mm) phone jack, 2) a male to male mini phone jack cable, and 3) a USB to mini USB connector for power. So, no additional adapter cables needed (yay!). Our amplifier broke, so we connected this to our old 5-CD player and bought a bluetooth speaker - instead of needing speakers in each room, we can carry the bluetooth speaker to where we wish to listen. Works like a charm! Impressive product and connectivity distance. My only wish list item for this is: the volume control only works when the unit is in Receive mode. We need to reduce the volume output from the CD player (the speaker jumps from "too quiet" to "too loud"), so we'll have to purchase a separate mini phone jack splitter with volume controls to reduce the volume of the signal sent to the speakers.

Awesomely versitle for flexible wireless audio. Way better that most laptop bluetooth.

More power than a mini PC. I bought this to extend the Bluetooth range from my garage mini pc to my whole house entertainment center (approximately 40 feet away). The mini pc did not have enough power to transmit thru 2 drywall walls and a wooden cabinet door (on the entertainment center) {about 40 feet}. This solved the problem. Also, it paired easily and immediately in close range (a few feet). When power was cycled I had to manually re-pair it at close range again. It did not automatically re-pair at the 40 foot distance.

I received this gadget today and I'm super happy with it! I bought it because of the capability of transmitting to two devices at the same time. I found that it not only does that but many other extremely useful things. The little box is a jack of all trades and comes loaded with all the cables you need. Presentation ========== This device comes in a nice little paper box containing the following: 1) USB charging cable 2) Analog audio cable (mini DIN stereo on both ends, the standard mobile device audio connector) 3) Adapter analog audio cable (mini DIN to 2 RCA jacks, so you can connect to your receiver) 4) Optical audio cable The device itself has the following connectors: 1) RX Analog audio 2) TX Analog audio 3) RX Optical audio 4) TX Optical audio Uses ==== This is where things get really interesting. You can use the device in many different ways: 1) As a bluetooth transmitter, you can connect it to your TV or your Roku/Apple TV/Fire stick/Etc. and use it to connect to one or two bluetooth headsets to watch movies. This is the most obvious use and the main reason I bought it as my Apple TV can only transmit to one bluetooth headset. You can also use it to share music listening between to users with bluetooth headsets by connecting it to your stereo or to your mobile device. 2) As a bluetooth receiver, you can use it to add bluetooth capabilities to any powered speaker so you can play music from your mobile device wirelessly. You can also use it this way to turn any pair of wired headphones into bluetooth headphones. What this device does not seem to have is a built-in microphone, so you will not be able to use your wired headphone for phone calls. 3) As a optical to analog converter, you can use it to convert your computer's optical output (which is usually much cleaner than the analog output) to analog to connect your non-bluetooth headset without noise. This was an unexpected functionality that I will probably end up using the most. I have very good wired headphones that I was plugging in to the computer analog jack. Using this box, I can instead connect it to the optical output and it sounds WAY better. Good job TaoTronics! Summary ======== This little box provides a wealth of functionality! If you need it for any of the above uses, I think that it will do the job very well and you will probably end up using it for other things too. The bypass functionality rocks if you have wired headphones connected to your computer and don't have a headphone amplifier.

I've been experimenting with different solutions for multi-room audio. I have multi echo devices and chromecast audio devices which serve me well for music. The solution I was looking for was multi-room audio for the video source in our living room. It's nice to go to the kitchen and be able to hear the audio without turning the volume up to uncomfortable levels in the living room. That's where this device comes in. I originally purchased one and connected it to our receiver's zone out. It then transmitted the sound to a bluetooth speaker. While this worked, there was the expected audio delay. I purchased a 2nd unit and connected that to the speaker's aux input. The devices connected in Low Latency mode and the experience was much better. An installer previously suggested a Sonos system. For my needs this is much better solution. It is not only cheaper but more flexible given my existing equipment.
