Can't beat the price!
These headsets are very good for the price point. You get large over ear cups with a solid wired connection and 40mm drivers which are standard for this price. The mic is good enough for most people, and is also easily muted by swiveling up which is a feature I like in headphones with mics. It’s more intuitive to me to simply move it up out of the way when wanting to mute. Build quality is what you would expect being plastic, but the headband is comfortable for extended periods without smashing your head in. Sound is decent. For gaming that is. Don’t use these for music as you might be disappointed but in usage for various PS4 titles I’ve tried: Street Fighter V Arcade Edition, Tekken 7, Ace Combat 7, Days Gone, Spider-Man, Apex Legends and Resident Evil 2…they hold up pretty well. Sound stage is pretty good and provided an advantage in Apex over stock speakers easily with the advantage of hearing footsteps near you. I had both a white and a black version to test and they were identical except for the black colored one being a little more susceptible to fingerprints. I say these headsets if used for casual gaming are a winner at the price sold for ($39 at time of writing).

Turtle Beach hit the mark with all the most important features in this budget priced headset.
These are some of the better budget priced gaming headsets I've tried that are made by Turtle Beach. I'm a PS4 gamer and while I've used a number of different brands, Turtle Beach tends to be my favorite. They make headsets for a wide variety of types of gamers and budgets. The best TB headsets start at about one hundred and fifty bucks, and go up from there. Everything under that has features that are scaled back to lower the price. So the trick when shopping their lower priced headsets is finding one that still has the features that you need. This one is wired, not wireless. So that right there helps with the price. I actually prefer wired headsets. Nothing drives me more crazy when I'm in an online match than my headset starting to beep to let me know the battery is low. They earcups are nice on this one. Most of the time the cheaper TB headsets have fabric ear cups, but these use the synthetic leather like their higher priced headsets use. The headset itself is light weight, so I haven't had any issues with head fatigue when wearing these for a while, and the color scheme is pretty cool. Blue for PS4, Green for xBox and Red for the Switch. The mic works fine. I haven't had any complaints from anyone saying that the mic is fuzzy or crackles. And one thing I really like is how you can mute your mic by just flipping it up away from your face. Such an awesome idea. No fiddling around with the volume controls to mute yourself. This feature should be on all headsets. It's so simple, I don't know why it's not standard on all headsets. And the sound from the ear cups is decent. These aren't meant for sitting around listening to you music on, it's meant for video game sounds. So the whole highs and lows thing is subjective. I'm primarily a COD and Battlefield player, and for those games the sound from this headset works just fine. Turtle Beach did a nice job with these less expensive headsets, since they hit the mark with all the most important features. They look sharp, they're comfortable to wear, the mic works and the audio has good sound. All for under fifty bucks, that's pretty good for a name brand headset!

Gamer is happy with these headphones
Turtle Beach has headphones at a great price point for gamers. The gamer in the family has used them for years. They last and the sound is good. He's using these headphones with a PS4. I've lost track of all the games he plays, but I imagine they're the standard ones featuring death and destruction! The earphones are comfortable, both the padded over-ear pieces and the padded headpiece. The sound, as always, is good. He uses the microphone in his multi-player games, and he likes how he can swing it up and out of the way when he's not using it.

Very good value for the cost!
My son is a big time gamer, and has always liked Turtle Beach products. He was eager to try this headset, and he was very pleased with them! He found the sound quality to be very high, even when listening to some high quality recordings and sounds. He said it reconstructed surround sound type audio well. He found the microphone worked well also, sending out clear audio. And the headset is comfortable---I can vouch for that, as I tried it for regular audio listening quite a bit! Most products of this type cost quite a bit more than these, and have for years---I remember an expensive Turtle Beach Christmas years back. So for the current price point, I'd say these are a terrific value.

Turtle Beach quality is good
Our Turtle Beach Recon 50X headset bit the dust after a few years of heavy use, so this headset will replace them. This "70" set is a step up from the 50-series, in that it adds Windows Sonic surround sound and Dolby Atmos compatibility. It also has a flip-up mic. Other players say they can hear my voice fine. Other than the above, these have the same 40mm drivers and sound about the same. By the way, the "X" and "P" product numbers just refer to branding and color differences - the functionality is the same between 50, 50P and 50X. All work with PS4, XBox One, PC and mobile devices (PC version "P" does come with a splitter cable though for separate voice and audio inputs). The 70 version does not have the P or X any more -- just different colors offered to match XBox One green, Switch red, and PS4 blue. Turtle Beach offers a wide variety of gaming headsets from the low $20s up to around $250.

Let the games begin!
We've gone through several big name headsets. Unfortunately, they've all failed. I recognized the name Turtle Beach,of course--so, I decided to give these a go for the price. They arrived quickly and were well packaged. My son decided these were his since he didn't have a good working pair. As soon as he put them on, he asked if these were $200 headphones. Nope! They are a fraction of the price! Again, I've purchasked different types, including a pair that cost $300, which ended because the cord couldn't hold up. My son said these were light on his head. He said that he barely heard anything. Thus, it's noise canceling feature works great! The sound quality is great! I love that the mic can be flipped up to mute yo99999 friends said he sounds clear finally and not like he's in a tunnel. Ear pieces are flat and not bulky+99 Great color. Image is correct and so is explanation on Amazon page.

Good for the price
It can be hard to find a decent pair of gaming headphones for under $50, but this set fits that bill nicely. The sound is good, though certainly not what you would find in $100+ headphones. This set is very comfortable, and they look nice. The build quality seems good, though time will tell. These are 3.5mm jack connections, not USB or lightening port, so just be aware of what you are buying. Overall I would call these very "kid friendly" headphones. Anyone wanting high quality headsets will need to look for something 3x this price.

Great gaming headphones
These are great headphones. Solid sound quality, comfortable ear cushions, great mic with flip-to-mute functionality, and they do a great job noise cancelling so you can be fully immersed in your gaming (or netflix watching on a console). There isn't a deep base so the sound isn't going to be as rich as more expensive headsets but it is crisp and surprisingly good for the price. Also note, while these headphones are labelled for PS4 they do work great on other Platforms using the same headphone jack without additional accessories. I've been using this headset to game on Xbox One as much if not more than PS4 without any issues. A great buy for new and old gamers alike.
