I chose this dish drying mat because we have limited counter space, and wanted something that could easily be stowed away between uses. The mat folds around the plastic rack piece as a tri-fold, with a long elastic band that holds it closed, and we just stick it under the sink. The mat itself is super absorbent and has never leaked excess water for us (unlike times of using a regular kitchen towel for a similar purpose). The rack has been perfectly suitable for situating flat things upright, like plates, baking sheets, etc. I also love that the mat is easily washed in the washer. This has definitely suited our needs for drying items by our kitchen sink.

I love this drainer/mat. It is low profile and easy to store. When my brother visits he likes to clean up after himself and always throws a dish towel on my counter, washes his dishes and sets them there to dry. This works much better. Love it. I had to go through several pages of dish drainers before I found it, well worth the search.

I use this with a 2 level drying rack and one of those roll up over the sink racks and it's almost as good as having a dishwasher! Ok, not really, BUT it is the next best thing for sure. We were filling up our utensil cup up on our drying rack with our knives and I use this to dry my knives. It's great because they don't fill up the utensil cup, but also, my kinda nice knives can dry without being damaged.

This more than does the trick for the few items we have that are not dishwasher safe, or when I have a quick wash. I am wondering where the miniature drying rack has been all my life. The thing is wonderful! Before this I would set my glasses on top of whatever utensil I'd washed to keep the condensation from forming inside. It is unobtrusive and seems to be of good, sturdy material. Better still, it takes up little space and does not detract from the look of my counter space. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend going ahead and giving this a try.

This thing is pretty awesome and very useful.

Love this. Works great. Some people have complained about the rack not being sturdy enough to hold up plates and other things but that has not been my experience at all. I have heavy ceramic plates and they stand up in it just fine. The same goes for cookie sheets. Because the rack can be moved wherever you want it, or even removed, that makes this even more versatile . Very pleased with this drying mat and rack.

I love, love, LOVE this drying rack. I got so tired of having a bulky metal dish rack sitting on my counter taking up space, so I decided to give this a shot and i'm glad I did. I really like that you can move the rack to different positions. The microfiber is very absorbent and the rack is strong. I was skeptical at first if it would be able to hold some of my heavier plates, and it did! The best part is that when dishes are done drying, it can be folded up and stored under the sink making my counters less cluttered looking and allowing for more space. Can also be cleaned in the washer. Loved this so much that I purchased it for one of my girlfriends and she loves it just as much.

We had previously tried several 'stylish' dish racks, but at the end of the day you still have a large piece of plastic (or metal) sitting on your kitchen counter. We have an open plan kitchen with limited counter space around the sink, so usually found ourselves putting the rack away whenever we were cooking or entertaining. This Umbra rack fit our needs perfectly. As it only consists of absorbent mat and small piece of plastic, it is easy to move or fold up and put away - however as it is visually so small (and looks nice) we find we just tend to leave it in place. The mat can be folded in half to make the space it takes up even smaller, and we really like that we can just throw it in the washing machine at the of each week. We have never had a problem with plates or large dishes falling out of the slots. The only caution is that although it easily fits all the typical items that we use in a day, families of more than 2 people may find it too small for their needs.

As an elder who has tried in vain to clean drain racks and boards for nearly 50 yrs, this is the very best thing I've done for myself in ages. The pad dries quickly, washes like a dream, ditto the rack. I'll probably order a second one to use when cooking for the grandkids. .

Last year when I moved in my roomate got a bulky dish bin from Walmart for $5 and it pains me every time I see it! This is the most quiet unassuming dish rack you could have, which is perfect bc in my house the dish rack never goes away!! Finally I'm so happy and the smaller one fits perfectly in this space next to my sink. This is my first day with it and probably the quickest review I've written! I will say the area to hold your plates feels a little less sturdy that I imagined but I put a plate on there earlier and it still holds it!
