Perfect for school library

I love how small and easy this is to use. I can’t wait to use it in my classroom library for my students to check out books. It is the perfect size for their hands and very simple to use for them.

Works Great

The unit works perfectly with USB cable or in wireless mode, I used it to scan movies for my movie database. it worked flawless.

Does well for the money

I had used a similar device a month before, and that device wasn't available, so I was looking for a inexpensive handheld barcode scanner. I settled on this one, the price was right and I decided to give it a shot. Compared to the scanner I used previously, it was much faster to scan, I was scanning the same kinds of barcodes, and it only took me a few scans to get the handle of the faster scan speed. I tested both wired and wireless scanning and both work as expected. The "B" side of the USB cable has an extra bit of plastic on it to fit snugly into the base of the handle, however, I think a regular USB A to B cable should work okay. I didn't test changing any of the scanner settings using the barcodes included in the manual. The only negative i've give this scanner, but not enough of a ding a star is that the wireless USB adapter is very small, and if you plan to use this at different locations is a good candidate to get lost, so be careful. Overall, I'm happy with the price/performance of this scanner. If you need a simple scanner this one is worthy of serious consideration.

Best Scanner for Price if you need 1D scanning only.

This is a great scanner. It arrived on time and worked right out of the box. All we needed to do to set it up was to plugin in the USB dongle; installed quickly by itself - and then start scanning. To scan, all you need to do is open up the document where you need the information and scan items. It is like a keyboard and puts the code for what you scan in the document. For Excel documents, it puts each entry in the cell below the previous scan. Price-wise, this one is the best deal going. We conducted extensive research into Barcode Scanners. The price ranges are huge. For our needs we required a 1D scanner that would scan items. This completely achieves that purpose. In addition, there are many options for what happens when you scan items. For example, you can have the scanner store the data until you are ready to upload it to a computer or you can have it upload the data as you scan. Overall, we are extremely pleased. We did not spend an arm and a leg and got something that works for us out of the box.

Bought this scanner for my classroom to keep track of my books. I have over 1,000 in my classroom library and students keep losing them, so I thought I would scan them just like the school library in order to keep track of who has a book of mine. This scanner is super easy to use! Scanning my books will take a while, but it is going great so far. Works great!
