Broke expectations
I've been looking for a "digital notepad" for a while that I could also use as an e-reader, and this is by far the best option. It reads pretty much all file formats, and even if it can't read something, you can always download an app from the Google Play Store to read it. You can browse the internet, check emails, listen to music . . . etc. etc. It's essentially a beautiful-looking Android tablet with slow refresh rates—but that's to be expected with e-ink and not really a con. In terms of writing, it's pretty flawless. I've been printing out my story in PDF format, which allows me to draw on the document and revise it longhand—so much nicer than staring at an LCD screen! A big plus for me was the ability to install the Android app "drivesync," which automatically syncs my Google Drive (i.e. all my books and writing) between my Drive and my Android devices. Any time I export/save the PDF on my Note Pro, it will automatically upload the PDF to my Google Drive, which makes it much easier to transition to the PC. Very impressed overall.

Very interesting e-reader
I bought it from BOOX with a bundle deal. I like the screen size. It's good quality too. There is a lot of memory space. Boox Note Pro is powerful e-ink device with high end specifications and hopefully the next step will be color screen.

Great device for the cost. Screen is perfect. Peers are jealous
I sent back the 7.9” Nova Pro and upgraded to 10” Note Pro version. My previous review was on the 7.9” version. I was happy with the device quality and workmanship. They overall software experience was not the best and a little confusing. Boox had just removed the. 2.1.1 firmware the day before my Note Pro arrived. This was a almost a month ago. I managed to get it updated on a Japanese version of the firmware that had not been taken down. Shhhh. It was not easy either. I don’t read Japanese!!!! It’s helped me read so many ebooks. I hadn’t used the stylus in the previous version and decided to give it a try. I just wanted it to read but the stylus is a value add I didn’t know I would use. Not all the time but sometimes if we need to. My chicken scratch is fairly legible too. It’s not worth the price tag. Personally, $50 over the price I would have felt comfortable with. I’m Keeping it tho. Wish they had these when I decided to go back to school in 2013. Everything is online now. Even the PDFs we get for class. After a while my eyes would start twitching and I’d get migraines. That is if I bothered reading. Some classes I just skimmed over and did the best I could. Another value add is the text to speech. I’m an Apple guy but the voices I use are better than Ava, Tom, and Susan.
