I like!!!

Second beavercraft carving tool. Love the way it feels in hand. It feels like quality and the blade is sharp, stout & well made .. and i like how short the chip blade is.. (first chip blade). First beavercraft tool i purchased was a hook knife/spoon knife. Was impressed with that so i got another of their products. Im more of an intermediate wood carver.. with many tools. Id buy from them again easy!

Love this knife

Was so excited to use this knife I forgot to take a picture, when I received this knife it was put instantly into service, just a quick stropping to bring the edge up to perfection. I love the size and design of this knife, I can get it into areas that other knifes have difficulty, and make un wanted cuts because of size/shape. This knife has allowed me to add just a little more detail to my carvings.

After sharpening

I just received my wood carving set from amazon. Thought I would try the knives first as they came out of the box. Acceptable but not really sharp. Then I sharpened the knives using my Japanese sharpening stone, followed by the strop. Big difference. Now they chide through my cuts with little effort. I have used wood working tools for many years. Most manufacturers grind the blades then call it quits. To truly have a sharp tool that is tuned, sharpening must be done by the user unless you purchase a hand crafted tool for a lot of money. I would definitely purchase this set again and will purchase several sets for Christmas gifts

Nice knife

I got this knife and finally got around to test it. It's my first chip carving knife although i use that technique a lot. I mostly carve avocado pits and used to use regular xacto knives for it, but i liked my experience with Beaver Craft knife and looking forward to use it on bigger wood projects. Knife sits very nicely in the hand, built sturdy and came sharp.

Trying out a new hobby

I purchased these knives as they were what I wanted but at a middle price point. I wanted some good steel of quality metal to hold an edge. The no name brands don't tell you enough about their products. Also the no name brands may not even stay connected to the handles properly, or have much durability. I would like to have a slightly larger handle, because I have large hands. Beavercraft brand seems to provide good products that are backed by informational outreach, with PDF files and videos on their website. I probably will buy from them again.

Nice Fit feels comfortable and natural in your hands

Hi all! First Off love Beaver Craft knives and this like all of there knives shows up Razor sharp ready to turn any old hunk of wood into something Beautiful! One of my favorite features is the handle size and shape. Having Large hands and Meaty fingers it’s importiant for me to have a knife handle that’s not only large but fits the hand. This knife tackles both this categories and really fits the hand like it’s meant to be there. The shape of the blade is perfect for laying in decorative patterns into your carvings. All and all I give this a 9.5 out of 10 with the only draw back being the lack of a guard for the Blade something Beaver Craft should look into for knives sold as individuals and not in a set containing role up pouch. Highly recommend this knife and all knives from Beaver Craft. Cheers and Happy Carving!!

Great knife. Great value.

This is my second beavercraft knife - I also own their hook knife. Both are excellent. The chip carving knife has a nice comfortable handle and came super -sharp and ready to cut. I made this little guy using only this knife and it cut through the basswood better than my other knives. I highly recommend beavercraft knives - and their price point is great too 👍🏽

Love that it is made in the Ukraine

I love this whittling/wood carving kit. I searched out well made whittling knives on Amazon.com, and found this kit. It is very well made and the handles are designed to be held comfortably. I like this kit because it is made in the Ukraine. I have bought other items made in the Ukraine and the quality is always the top! Yes you can get a similar kit cheaper - but most of those are from China, and in this case, where we are talking about knives. Everyone knows the Ukrainians are some of the best in knife making. Great knives

First set of "carving" knives I've used, normally use an old "real" Schrade pocketknife. Love someone has a since of humor with the company and included 10 Band-Aids in the pack, haven't needed any yet.... Can't give comparison to other kits, but don't think you can go wrong with this set.

Nice little starter set.

So far I've used 2 of the 3 knives. They cut smooth and hold their edge. It's convenient to have a strop with the knives. I strop them after each use and they have been cutting smooth through multiple projects.
