My significant other and I started going to the beach twice a summer, every summer, for the last 4-5 years. My bestie has a set of Tommy Bahama chairs and I feel in love and had to have a set of my own. I ended up settling on the multi-colored leaf print which looks even better in person. I was a little concerned as shipping stated it would take a week, but they were delivered faster than expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The chairs each have a pocket and a little cooler pocket on the back of the chair, which comes in handy for storing random sandy stuff you don't want to put back into your beach bag (shells, sand covered balls, etc.). The best part is that these chairs have backpack straps which are crucial when you only want to make 1 trip from the car to the beach, but have a cooler, two chairs, beach bag, tent and a dog. The straps made a HUGE difference. These chairs, while pricey, are TOTALLY worth the money!!

Good Beach Chair for larger size person

This is a good chair, the carry handle on top and the backback setup are useful - the clip that holds it in the backback position kept coming loose so they might want to put better clips on it. Folding the chair after use is a little odd and you tend to get sand on yourself and the chair when trying to fold it. The size is good - 6ft / 240lbs and fit comfortably. The cup/can/bottle holders on these chairs are useless.

Love these chairs

I love these chairs - they're fairly light-weight, easy to carry due to the backpack straps, have good storage options with the drink holders and pockets, and are durable. I've had one these for years and bought another because I liked the first so much. Friends always mention that they "need a chair like mine" when we hang out at the beach. Never any issues with these chairs and I highly recommend. Very comfortable.

Best Beach Chair

We purchased two of these chairs a few years back at Costco, our kids are finally old enough and big enough to have their very own chairs. This makes it easy to get all your gear to the beach or campsite— you can easily stuff a beach blanket in the seat and the clip it and sling the backpack chair and you’re off! These chairs hold up exceptionally well and worth the money. The cooler pouch is large enough to stuff a few beverages and keeps them cool. The top zipper is also great— perfect to add your phone and other things.

One of the best backpack chairs you could buy!

I did my research and it paid off, this is the best backpack chair out there...it has everything you need with the storage and cooler pouches, bottle/phone pouch, the straps are perfect and easy to slip into, and it folds without a hitch, I love my chair and the vibrant colors I choose. It also is just the right level off the sand so you are comfortable in all positions. HIghy recommend!

Love this Tommy Bahama chair and it is Super Comfortable!

Super comfortable Tommy Bahama chair absolutely a joy to carry with the back straps and you can sit in it comfortably all day unlike many of the cheaper version chairs. 8/25/2018 Update: After a full season of use with many long days on the beach I wanted to update my review on how well this chair has held up. The chair as of today still looks as good as the day I got it, the colors have not faded and the fabric is still in perfect condition! This is a great chair for the money and is well made and holds up well even under the strongest of NC Sun without fading or getting brittle like many other cheaper inferior chairs do! A definite 5 star chair!

I love this chair

I love this chair. It's not very heavy and extremely handy since it is worn like a backpack. The storage pockets are perfect for stashing extra items on the go, and I found that when entering a venue security doesn't tend to check the chair pockets, so we could sneak in flasks and whatnot :) We also found it easy to stash some picnic pillows inside the folded chair, making it easier than stashing them in one of our bags. I like that the chair can recline at different angles or lie flat. Perfect for what I needed when attending parties and shows in one of our local parks, and excellent for my dad to use, as he has trouble sitting on the ground and getting up afterwards. He definitely likes it too.

BEST CHAIR

This chair was a lot more money than I would have ever spent on a beach chair, but it holds true that you get what you pay for. I love that I can throw it on my back like a backpack, I love that there are pockets in the back, one insulated, I love that I don't sink in the sand even though it's low. Best of all, with all of that, it's still lightweight and easy to manage. And it's still pretty! I got a great deal on mine because I chose one that I liked and it was lower price than the rest. You will not regret getting this chair. I don't visit the beach often so I'm sure I will have it for a long time.

Plenty Wide

Awesome!!! Nothing worse than sitting in a beach chair that digs into the outside of your thighs. This one is plenty wide - and I’m a chunky lady. And it was strong enough for my hubby.
