mounting options

I purchased for my garage workshop. Comes with mounting hardware so it can be hung from ceiling which I did initially. I decided I wanted them mounted a little more securely and more uniformly so I screwed 2 x 2's to the ceiling and mounted each light directly to the 2 x 2. This allowed me to not have to mount only where ceiling joists are located. I used three screws per light and attached them using fender washers and a painted oval head screw. Any screw would work. I would definitely use the fender washers because the fixture is made of fairly thin material. Looks real nice and they don't move when using the pull chain like they did when using the hanging type mounts. I'm going to buy more for our garage, but that's another day.

Awesome lighting!

I replaced four, 4' twin- tube fluorescent light fixtures with these Sunco Lighting LED shop lights, and the difference is literally "night and day". I purchased a "six-Pack" of these lights and hung the additional lights in areas not previously lit up. Of the four six-packs I received, one light had a slightly bent shade on one side, but it was no problem to bend it back into shape with little effort. As an FYI, the top shade is made of metal. A key point that I couldn't get an answer to before I purchased this item. I called the company and the guy I spoke to said he would go check and call me back, but never did. So much for his idea of Customer Service. The lights are ridiculously lightweight, and the illumination is awesome. Great product!

Happy

I liked the lights very much, super bright, woke up my whole shop....lol. Easy to install, lightweight, I used 2 screws, drilled them right through the aluminum housing. Plug and play, very friendly to use. Highly recommended. Only thing I am waiting too see is, how long the lights actually last. So far very happy, I bought a 10 pack, than another 6 pack....... would have liked to have the option, to get a price break with larger quantity.

Great for the price

I ordered 12. First carton came in a couple of days. Second took a week. These units put out adequate light for my work shop, a least as much as the dual 40watt fluorescents they replaced. They are easy to hang with the included hardware. However, be aware that these are utilitarian in appearance.

Very nice

They are nice and lite and provide a lot of light. I have a 40ft x 25 ft, 3 car garage and put them in rows of 4 for each bay. Great light compared to the previous "bulbs" Also the power the 4 fixtures (8 x 4ft led bulbs) uses is less watts than 1 of the previous light bulbs so I had to install a LUT-MLC to stop the flickering because my wiring thought there was far too low a load. Thanks for the great deal ! My Garage looks great and has great lighting now !

Bright, all work, light weight. Saves power!

These lights made my shop so much better. I was skeptical at first. But the first one I hooked up worked, so I checked them all and they all work perfectly. Hanging them was very easy. So....things I like. 1. Much brighter than my old fluorescent lights. 2. Much quieter. (No noise) 3. So much lighter. (1/4 weight of old lamps) 4 Oh ya, SO much brighter! 5. 1/3 of my old power usage.

Brighter than fluorescent and saving money!

Purchased for a 24x22 garage to replace two old 8 ft fluorescent lights and two 4 ft fluorescent lights. I always have complained about these old fluorescent lights not being bright enough when I would do any work in the garage. Put these lights up, Amazing!! They are super bright! It’s like going from an old flip phone to a smart phone. I drilled two holes in the center 5 inches from each end and screwed them to the studs. They are flush mounted. Glad I finally decided to change and go with LED!! Very impressed with my purchase! Plus, every time I turn them on I am saving money. I would highly recommend buying these lights!

Let There Be Light!

Finally fed up with replacing the fluorescent tubes every 3 months. The Sunco shop LED lights are brighter! Installation very simple, I drilled a hole on each end of the cover plate and flush mounted to studs (depends on your stud spacing) this was easier than using included mounting hardware.

Excellent product

Replacing 4 foot T8 shop lights and I found the new LEDs to be slightly brighter which was a pleasant surprise. The reflective covers dispersed light well in my large workshop. The hanging system is slightly more cumbersome than other similar fixtures I've used but works well. Unlike other reviews, all 6 fixtures worked perfectly and there is no visible flicker. I'm very pleased with the upgrade and will likely purchase more in the future.

Big change from fluorescent bulbs

Changed over my home workshop from fluorescent bulbs to these LEDS. Nice looking lights and the brightness is awesome - the prior fluorescent bulbs gave me a headache. Best part is, it uses a lot less electricity. Going to buy more for my garage - the ballasts are out on 2 of them. By the time I change the ballasts and bulbs out, it would cost the same amount of money to just replace with these. They are awesome lights - don't hesitate to buy.
