Keeping my table nice is a challenge with 5 kids. This protector does the job and I love that it's clear, so you can still see the table. The product was cut a little longer than I ordered, which at first we thought wouldn't look right. But, I'm grateful because it protects the edges from hard chair push ins. Very satisfied. Well worth the price.

easy to clean , thick enough to protect the table

Easy to clean, not really hot resistant, the hot soup bowl will make a dent to it , so I have to use place mat, has a strong smell , using it for several days now still smells ! Put on top of the table cloth , thick enough , but I I expect more for $60 ! Update: Seller responded to me immediately and explained the smell is no harmful and how to remove the dent! So I’m quite satisfied with it now

Update: I was able to resolve the issue with the seller. I am placing a table pad under the vinyl cover to solve the spotting issue. The vinyl product works well now. The seller gets 5 stars because their response was excellent. Of all the thousands of products I purchase on Amazon, this is one of less than ten sellers I have encountered who have responded quickly, and with excellent service. Old Review: Good product, for some surfaces. I have a white table and the plastic sticks to the table and makes it look like it has a gray marble effect. It’s a minor annoyance. If it’s lifted off the marks disappear, but come back again. I tried cleaning it, but it’s the nature of the plastic. The plastic is good quality and does lag mostly flat. And the sizing is correct.

The best protection.

I wish I had bought this the same day my table was delivered. After spending a few grand on a gorgeous modern table I was horrified that only a few years of use had the surface looking busted like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar. This cover gives a nice cushion for kids doing homework and protects a fine finish. If I was going to pick a nit, I would say the air bubbles look like garbage. But putting it into perspective, I would much rather put up with the bubbles than the permanent scars I now have.

Enhances the look of your table/great protection that looks nice

This pad worked out much better than expected. I bought it to protect a vintage 50s enamel table top. It actually has enhanced the top of the table. The mat is a little stiff to cut and I couldn't get the edge perfect, but the imperfections are hardly noticeable. The mat sometimes shows pressure spots, but they disappear when the mat is lifted a little.

Never worry about your kids playing on top of your nice wooden dining table again

I got this pad to protect my new dining table. I love it because I can still see the nice wooden table but I don't care about my kids drawing with markers, playing on the table and it makes dinner setup so much easier. The size was just as requested.

Very durable

We purchased a brand new wood kitchen table, which was not cheap. So we got this to protect it. The first time around, they sent the wrong size even though I selected the square 4'x4' in the options. Apparently you have to also send a message with these exact measurement details too. I didn't have any hassels sending it back and getting the right sized one though. And it has been a life saver - probably one of the best investments I have made! My only issue is that even after a couple of months of having it, it still hangs over the edge of my table about a quarter of an inch all the way around instead of being flush with the table. But, I feel like maybe this helps to protect the table edge too, so I'm ok with it.

I have to say, after reading a lot of the reviews, I almost returned this without even opening the box once it arrived, but I'm glad I did. It was very well packed, and took some doing to get it opened, but once I put it on the table, I see the value of having this on my new glass dining room table. My old one was so scratched up you almost could not see thru it. This will protect my new set, so I'm very happy. As soon as I put it on my table, I went right back to Amazon and canceled my return request. My apologies to the vendor. The PVC was not wrinkled or wavy, had no finger prints or dirt on it as I read in some of the reviews. Yes, it's not easy to align it on the table, but it does lay flat. It seems to be about 1/2" larger than the table top, which was something else I was worried about after reading the reviews about it shrinking.. I thought it was going to be cut exactly 42 X 42 and once it shrank, it wouldn't cover the entire table. Hopefully, if it DOES shrink, it should fit the table exactly. It does change the look of the glass top because it's plastic and does have some bubbles, but I'll put up with that to protect the glass. Not sure, but maybe they'll go away as the pvc settles in after a while. Glad I kept this and would recommend it for your GLASS table top. I don't know whether it would damage wood or not, but it does kind of stick to the glass, so I guess I would advise caution if you're getting it to protect wood.

Great product!

This is an AMAZING alternative to a solid piece of glass. Don't get me wrong, I do love glass, but this was a great quick alternative that ended up working out better then the glass would have. I would highly recommend this over glass now. Easily cleaned, easily moved. Nice and heavy and doesn't roll or move around. I'm very impressed.
