The Moukey camera mic works well with both my iPhone and iPad in recording audio for videos. It has fairly good sensitivity and pickup for as small as it is. It comes with two windscreens/windshields. One is furry for extreme weather conditions and the other is foam for standard conditions. This was tested on both my iPad and iPhone and it worked very well. We did not purchase it to use with a camera, however if you do want to use it with a camera, it has a mount that allows you to do a hands free operation. It is a well built, sturdy, compact and fits in the included small tie bag that allows you to carry the mic and accessories.

This is an amazing mic! I hesitate to even add some sort of disclaimer, like it’s amazing *for the price*, because quite honestly, it’s AMAZING, period. The price just makes how great it is even more of a bonus. I was really quite impressed with this, particularly upon opening the box and seeing the accessories that came with the mic. It’s a pretty complete package for a portable microphone, and will allow you to do on the go recordings with your phone or camera. I got it to use with the Moukey mini tripod (see my separate review for that), which is also very impressive. The two work together well - the mic can either work on its own with the tripod, or you can attach it to either your camera or to the cell phone adapter that also attaches to the tripod. All in all, it’s super versatile. I took a pic of the mic mounted onto the tripod, but I didn’t have it hooked to my phone in the pic, although the reason why I like this capability so much is that it will allow for recording podcasts or songs (there’s a karaoke app I like to use on my phone lol). I’m very, very pleased with this mic. So far I have tried it out for sound for video, podcasting, and a few songs, and the sound quality is nice and clear. I am not picking up on much distortion at all, although the room I was using it in is the room I record in at home, so I have it set up for that. The noise cancellation is on par with my other (MUCH more expensive) microphone, which makes this a really impressive mic! Highly recommend if you are looking for a portable mic that will perform.

This shotgun mic is a must have for video recording! I am amazed at the quality of this for the price. Super easy to use with either a DSLR camera or an iPhone. Sound quality is way better than using the built in mic on a camera or phone. If you use this with an iPhone that does not have a headphone jack, plug it in to the lightning to headphone adapter and it will work perfectly. I love how it came with a pop filter and a furry windscreen. Both are extremely useful while recording outdoors. This package also comes with two cables, one for a camera and one for a phone. It also comes with a nice little carry bag that all of the items can be stored in. This is definitely a must have for video recording!

Bought this mic after a disappointing experience with an omnidirectional which picked up all of the noise from the surroundings and was hell to salvage with sound editing so the obvious move was to buy a unidirectional and, at that price, this was a no-brainer. I don't shoot outside so I haven't tested it with the dead cat in windy conditions but for my purposes, you can't go wrong with this mic. I've heard in another review that the dead cat is useless without inside cushioning but it did not seem to be an issue with the basic testing I did. I will however give a more through test next time it's more than mildly windy and will see if it gets 5 stars all around; don't hold your breath but stay posted. So, if you're looking for a mic for videoblogging, interviews or corporate videos, this will do perfectly

I got this to clear up my audio when recording on the go or just away from a computer with a larger mic. The audio quality coming off this is great for a non amplified mic, and the pop and dead cat filter seem to do their jobs well so far. Be aware that the spring cable if for camera use and the straight one is for a traditional 4pole headphone jack (like a phone). It also pairs nicely with the MPSBK1's phone holder. Things I like: Vibration noise isolation seems to work well. Small package and bag is very convenient. No batteries to worry about. Pop and dead cat filter included. Overall I like this mic and it seems to do a good job especially for the price. I would recommend this to anyone needing a small mic or travel vlogers.

This microphone captures sound very well for such a reasonable price. I used a recorded sound source indoors to test it and the sound quality was great. I have a Nikon 3100. The mount slips into grooves on the microphone and there are also grooves to guide the placement of the windscreens. You get two types of windscreen. And two different length cords to run audio. This really improves the video sound on the D3100 dramatically. This has added some more functionality to my Nikon. The entire rig is pretty compact.
