Overcomes one to the biggest problems with the MacBook Pro
I really like my Macbook Pro 15", but I didn't like the idea of buying a lot of separate dongles (and keeping them together). There are many mini-docs, but the Purgo seemed the best option. I did need an ether port connection, and that is not available in many devices. It fits snugly (It requires a small amount of force to seat perfectly, which is a good thing). All ports are functioning and reliably. I did a Time Machine restore from external USB drive, and it worked flawlessly. The two USB ports are a little more snug than I am used to, but only by a little. The color matches perfectly.

Works like a charm. Buy it.
The product arrived quickly and it looks great. Matches the MacBook Air aesthetic perfectly. It is just plug and play, and this solved the issues I previously had with other display adapters I tried. Would highly recommend if you need the additional ports or just the display adapter, this one small device handles both.

Great product, did’t work with a macbook case.
Pros: Lightweight, fully functional, the same color as my laptop. After plugging in the Internet cable, the downloading speed became more quickly. Cons: It doesn’t fit the laptop with laptop case, so I have to trim the case to ensure I can plug it in.

Exactly What I Was Looking For
Just bought this for my Mid 17 MacBook Pro. I was looking for something to keep on my desktop that connected to the laptop without a cord. The hub fits snugly into the two USBC and allows me to easily plug in power to my laptop, my second monitor, external hard drive and SD card. I especially like that I don't have to worry about a cord, the hub plugs directly into the two USB C ports and feels more 'hearty' than other adapters that connect via cord. So far, it has been a great product.

THIS DOES THE TRICK
For those who don't know, Apple has annoyingly removed their USB connectors from their latest MacBook (watch them bring it back next edition) so now you have to get an adaptor for all your devices that use a USB connector! To do this, I first bought an adaptor dongle made by Purgo that has a pair of connectors to fit into the corresponding jacks on the side of the MacBook. I reviewed that Purgo model, elsewhere, but the bottom line is that I found it too flimsy. I let Purgo know about this and they referred me to a different model and very kindly refunded the money after I purchased it (pictured). Now that's some good customer service! I now have the new one and it works excellently. Nicely made, and it matches the space gray of my Mac. I do recommend Purgo for product quality and good customer service.

HDMI works higher than expected @50 Hertz and you can also use Apple HDMI Thunderbolt passthrough
Great dongle, prefect as a desk dock. HDMI - higher refresh than other 3rd party dongles I have tried. Max screen resolution refresh rates 3440 x 1440 @ 50 Hertz 2560 z 1080 @ 60 Hertz Purgo also supports Apple Thunderbolt dongles in passthrough, so you can connect the official Apple HDMI dongle for 4k@60 Hertz, pass power through it and also use the USB port on the Apple dongle all at the same time. [see photos] More stable than the Apple HDMI dongle - my Dell 34" curved monitor would crash a few times a day with the Apple dongle @ 60Hertz, symptoms are it makes a pop noise, goes black then comes back on. I have not had this issue using the Purgo @ 50 Hertz. MicroSD slot is 100% inside the dongle. I have inserted a card in the photos so you can see that it does not stick out at all. This is great to have backup storage always connected seamlessly when you desk dock; sure microSD is not the fastest, but for continuous backup of changes it works just fine. Network Connects at 1 gpbs and acquires a DHCP lease within 6 seconds. Negative [but this is the same with every 3rd part dongle I have ever tried] A wireless keyboard that uses USB receiver, such as the MS Sculpt, will not be connected when you plug in the USB-C dongle. You have to remove the USB Keyboard receiver, then re-insert it to get it to wake up. The only dongles I have found that you do not have this issue are official Apple ones. Workaround: Plug your USB keyboard receiver into the USB port on the Apple HDMI dongle, then plug that into Purgo dongle; also works with cheap Apple USB dongle plugged into the USB-C port on the Purgo, but then you have to power via another Thunderbolt port on the MacBookPro.

I purchased this hub to use with my new MacBook Pro, and I must say, it's fantastic.
The build quality is excellent, and it even looks like Apple made it with a similar material feel and color. The port options are fantastic, and I love that there are several permutations of this dock to fit various needs. I chose this one since it has the ethernet port, which also works great. I do worry a bit about the durability of that port as it is plastic unlike the rest of the dock which is aluminum. The only complaint I have is that the hub is a little thinner than my computer which means when sitting on a desk there is some space below it for it to flex and put some stress on the ports. I read another review where the user added rubber feet and I've elected to do the same.

Must have USB C - Ethernet Hub
I bought it so that there is no lag to stop me from playing games. As it turns out, the hub's network port supports very good connection. The game is running much faster than only using the wifi. If I don’t use it, I could just close the lid to keep the dust off. Btw, the logo is printed on the bottom of the device, allowing the design looks more simple from the front. I like that!
