Was exactly what I was looking for. Fits perfectly on my nightstand. We had much bigger lamps and kept knocking them over. These are nice and sleek and even though they are not very bright, they work well enough to read. Wish they'd come in a set, as I thought they did and ordered one and had to order one more lol Luckily thanks to Prime, I don't pay for shipping :) Would buy again

Exactly what I was looking for and very happy with this lamp.

I was looking for a desk / bedside lamp that also had a "mood" feel to it. Something soft but also bright enough for reading or illuminating an area. Of course the brightness depends on the bulb you place in it (no bulb was included which I prefer because then everybody would be complaining about the brightness of it). Anyways, I set this up on my nightstand and it works amazingly. I have my acoustic guitar and a colorful poster set up above my nightstand and this lamp displays light upwards really attractively and also downwards so that the surface of my nightstand is also vivid. Yesterday my girlfriend was sleeping and I was reading and the lamp worked perfectly. Even when she was faced towards the lamp, she wasn't blinded and was able to sleep through it and I had plenty of light for my book.

Beautiful lamps!

These lamps were a really nice surprise in that they exceeded our expectations. They are beautiful, simple, classy, and timeless. Even with brighter bulbs, they produce a warm, inviting glow ideal for our bedroom, though we've had the best results in the 25-40 W bulb range.

I am very guilty of ALWAYS reading people's reviews but NEVER leaving my own. Here's my first. This lamp is incredibly sharp looking. Though it appears modern because of its clean lines and sleek look, I am using it in my office which has a beachy/natural décor. The shade is a beautiful grayish tweed look. I like the square-ness of the shade because I can put it closer to the wall. I read the comments that talked about the on/off switch on the cord being too far away - that doesn't matter really because you have a pull string. The two USB ports are fantastic. It isn't overly bright, but provides enough for me at my desk. You get two in the package. The bulbs you need are easy to find on Amazon. I purchased the 6 pack of Acaxin LED Energy Save bulbs in 60 watt. oh, I also saw comments about the difficulty in figuring out the packaging. My second photo shows the top view when you open your box. Unscrew the black ring that will eventually be used to hold the shade to its base. But unscrew it and that will allow you to remove the shade and base from the box. It helped keep them secure in shipping. Then put the shade on the base correctly, screw the black ring back on and add your bulb. Remember, the pull string will work once you turn the switch on (the switch on the cord). I would give this a 6 if I could!

Perfect for bedtime

This table lamp has very soft lighting, which is perfect for bedtime. The on/off switch is on the cord so I don't have to reach all the way to the lamp to turn it on/off when I'm in bed. The wooden base and canvas fabric cover make the lamp look classic and artistic. It runs a littler smaller than I expected, but the good side is it doesn't take too much space of my end table.

UPDATED REVIEW: After speaking with the manufacturer/distributor about the defect they were more than happy to resolve the issue and did so in an incredibly fast manner. I received my replacement lamp within 3 days and it looks absolutely pristine. Excellent customer service in my opinion, would be happy to order from Aooshine again. INITIAL REVIEW: This lamp is simple, sturdy, and has a great aesthetic. All in all, this thing would be absolutely perfect if it wasn't for the shade I recieved... Unfortunately my lamp came with a shade that is less than perfect. While it's not a deal-breaker, there is a noticeably large piece of string that is wedged between the linen and plastic layers of the shade. It's quite obvious when the lamp is turned on but invisible when the lamp is off. While I'd love to get a new shade that doesn't have this unsightly piece of string in it, I don't feel like returning the whole dang thing and waiting the extra 8 days it would take to ship it and have them mail me another. I'd prefer just getting a new shade sent to me and throwing away this "damaged" one. If the seller happened to send me a new shade then I would easily rate this 5 stars. I actually plan on buying another one soon, it's a great little lamp and I imagine my shade is a fluke as opposed to the standard. Food for thought, Jake

Perfect for bedside table

I put this lamp in my kid’s room. It’s perfect for the bedside table. Been using it for several months, no problem at all. The linen fabric cover can soften the light from the light bulb, so I don’t have to worry about my kid looks directly to the light. It provides a warm and cozy ambience to the room. Nothing fancy, but very practical.

Excellent lamps. I use them on my bedside night stands. If I could suggest one change it would be to move the on off switch a little closer to the base of the lamp (it's on the cord, but about 12" down so it hangs behind my night stand). Not a big deal, but I do have to fish around for the cord in order to turn the light on. Perfect size.
