easy to use

I must admit I am pleasantly surprised. After reviewing many dual-camera models, I chose this particular one. Not expecting much, this was super easy to install. though the mirror/screen seats at a slight offset from my current rear view mirror, it was an easy installation with the rubber straps provided. Picture quality is very satisfactory.

best one I've found... after going through quite a few

we have multiple cars. this was a switch from the glass mount type. the problem with those was hard to get off even with the mount, and hard to see what the camera was pointing at (screen small). the battery ones died quick with impossible to find batteries.. the capactor type got hot in the sun and went crazy until they cool down. I could not see the plate on the other cars unless very close with these small highly rated glass mount types... granted those were a few years older and most likely lower res. so we switched to mirror type going forward. this new one has much better optics and screen than my other two brands that are mirror mount. they did a good job on the wide view, no fisheye. the mirror itself has full video screen, unlike the other models I have with a smaller screen. this boots up pretty fast too. (faster than my others) the screen is very bright and clear too. I will make a video, and post it soon. Not sure if it would be allowed to compare another model though. like to post some bad drivers. also, this one is easier to take off than my other 2 mirror type, the catch for the strap sticks out more (top & bottom), which is good since I remove for service & state inspection. cons, okay, there always are, but you can fix them. I don't like the strap is too long - but you can cut that off to size.. I'd rather have right size so as not to see the piece hanging down. also, they put the brand model name on the side out part. I don't like labels on things. only the driver sees it, but I just don't like seeing the label - personal preference. put black tape on it. I should mention I have not used the audio, I'm after the video for arguing with redlight cameras and accident claims only. if this breaks down I will update my review. I did have to contact vendor, they responded quickly.

Awesome Dashcam!

I was so stoked upon receiving my dash cam rear mirror from toguard. There were a lot of choices and i just follow who has the highest rating and read the reviews first. Here are my pros and cons of the product: Pros - clean packaging - the product is not a cheap regular rear view mirror - loved the always on rear back up camera as default - touch screen is responsive - easy to figure out the settings - 720/1080 front or rear camera options - easy to install - wires are solid even the charger is manufacturely solid built - clear picture front and rear Cons So far none Another thing if you have a 10” auto dimming mirror as mine (5th gen 4runner) you cannot center the dash cam mirror on to it. Have to extend the camera out but still some of the oem mirror is still showing up so i bought an 8” rear view mirror, took mine out and voila its centered. So far i traveled more than 100 miles with it and so far im pretty much satisfied. Update: if you planning to install on the backglass and you have tinted windows, i would not recommend it because at night time and its pitch black on when you back up, there is no way you can see the back if, so my suggestion mount it on top of the license plate and route the wires all the way to the front and the red wire to the positive wire of your reverse light. Mine i mount it on top of my rear spoiler of my 4runner. See the pictures. Back up camera wire is enough to run from a regular size sedan to a midsize suv. A full size suv or extended cab pick up truck, you might need an extension wire for it.
